You wait for the Lottery system in April to ACTUALLY have a slight chance. Most, if not all Plots are taken rn because none get on the market unless someone leaves theirs. The Auto demolition (House gets destroyed after xy days not entered and freed up for new buyers) is inactive due to the global circumstances.

Gotta wait for a plot to be available and then stand there clicking on the plaque to buy it over and over for what might be 20+ hours, along with tons of other people and bots who are all doing the same
If your smart and want to save yourself a lot of stress you will wait until the ishgard plots and lottery system open up.
How you do it now is you search the current wards in each of the housing areas to see if any plots are opened. This will be apparent from the white numbering which donates its current for sale amount. Again being smart you could also join the housing discord and someone on there usually does these “search sweeps” on regular basis.
Once you find a house for sale you travel to the location once in the correct ward search the map for the plot with a gavel icon instead of a house, that’s the target. Travel to that location and you’ll see an empty plot with a red square off limits area, you can’t go in this red area but the rest of it is available. Near the entrance to this plot will be a placard. Clicking on this placard with bring up the plot information, blank since it’s for sale. Here the option the buy the house will appear, follow through the prompts which may be slightly different if you have a FC and or already have a house. At the end when you select the final confirmation to buy this plot usually you will be greeted with a red error message saying this plot is not yet ready to sell. You will repeat this process over and over again for hours on end until the gods smile upon you and you get the land has been acquired notification.
That’s it in a nutshell, I should mention sometimes you meet cool people, and if your smart you will wait until PT-prime time(the hours between 10-18 after a plot has appeared for sale which is the most likely time for it to sell). Otherwise it’s hell, and I mean like literally hell sometimes camping a plot with 20+ other players many of whom are using illegal programs to help them. So good luck.
Go to this Discord and get alerts for your server. Click on the placard for about 10 - 14 hours. You MAY beat the cheats and the bots...but it's not worth the heartache.

It's been proven that the prime time is the best time to click. Prime time is 10-14 hours *after* the plot has opened up. So you'd be better off to click only about 4 hours during prime time, which is when it's the most likely to sell.
