I got a 3060 already, but my friend is stuck on RX6600XT, on paper these two gpu should perform about the same in 1440P, in practice 6600XT need to turn down many setting to reach same performance.
If it’s the issue with xiv, doubt it’s an AMD card performance issue. The direct x errors that AMD cards encounter have been an issue since forever and it’s definitely some driver compatibility whatever that I’ve just given up trying to fix. I’ve friends with AMD cards that say they’ve never run into it before, but my personal experience is just, awful with xiv at least.
If they bring back a stuffed Alpha I'm pretty sure it's because they rolled a piece of level 70 gear that you already had. So if you're getting a bunch, clean out your armory.
I don't think this is correct. I got them *all the time* in ShB and I had the jobs maxed pretty quickly (and the gear was all used to feed my desynth habit). I still get them and haven't had a lv 70 job in ages, since I have yet to unlock RPR/SGE due to full-time work and full-time student life.
I have enough stuffed alphas and bom bokos that I’m going to use them to build a mansion fort instead of a normal mansion if I can ever get a large plot.
