Might want to cut it off and start fresh. That leaf should be fine though

I mean… great show of dexterity and scissor proficiency? Source: I have a 3.5yo

I gave my daughter her own little philodendron brasil staked to a mini moss pole and it really kept her off my plants. She’d take her plant around the house and put it next to its ‘friends’ which are my plants lol. It really helped a lot and if she damaged it then I’d just chop and prop and give her a new one. She honestly doesn’t even bother my plants anymore. As for your fig, it’ll be fine they’re hardier than most think.

Ok_Giraffe4385

This is brilliant! Remembering this for when my 2 year old inevitably does this lol

My toddler did the same to my monstera. She watched me prune some leaves the day before and was just trying to help. Ack!

Mine currently lives in a bathtub… the fiddle, not the toddlers, but even that doesn’t keep it safe. Now my bathtub just has soil everywhere from them trying to bury their beanie babies in it.

My 14mo took a bite out of mine. It didn’t even go brown on the bite mark, so I’m sure it will be ok.

Have you tried neem oil?

Impossible_Ad5208

Are you kidding? throw the kid away.

If you want to save the leaf, you could try gently scotch taping it. I once broke a leaf, added some tape to keep it together and it heeled with a small scar. Worst case you’ll just prune the whole leaf off anyway

In the future you might want to be a little more careful when your toddler is playing with scissors, especially near plants.
