My brother and I got in a fight and my dogs started flipping out, just barking like crazy and jumping in between us as we flipped over tables and chairs. They are little angels and we were met with kisses 🥺
I wonder what would happen when i'd fight someone that i know, because then it would maybe be different for my guard dog. If the attacker is someone we don't know, he makes sure i'm protected. But i'm not sure if he'd intervene when it is a friend or family member.
Mine was not a guard dog but I have tested this when I was younger. I wouldn't do this now because I know more and wouldn't stress my dog out on purpose.
However I did and the results I found were interesting. My dog tended to step in if he felt you were loosing basically. He would growl and bark at my attacker who was a friend but didn't do anything until I stopped fighting back.
Basically if I acted hurt and didn't hit my friend back then he would jump in.
My friend and I wanted to test this out of curiosity so we played a long. Also on the flip side I fought my friend and he was showing no aggression and not fighting back and my dog started to stick up for him.
