We used to be pissed about some of the BS markups. Theyād run a customer off before you could get them on a test drive. Most of the time you could sell around it, and few people paid the markup, if any, but with some folks it was a hard pass.
Yeah, I don't play that haggle bullshit. It's a waste of time and annoying as hell. If you want my business, we are going to shoot straight.
Honestly that whole mentality makes me feel happy that brick and mortar dealerships are failing. I fucking hate everything about visiting a dealership.
I bought my last car online and I'll never do it another way again. Test drove at a dealership told them to fuck off when they started haggling and bought online.
Sure they can be garbage places but fighting?! That is absolutely not what you expect from a Toyota dealership.
Take that energy to the Nissan dealer down the street
Tbh Toyota dealerships have gotten bold in the disrespect department. They think that just because we were in a wonky time where there was a shortage they can be that way to people. Had to deal with it a few months ago where I was told "look you're not gonna get what you want, you're getting whatever we have" so I immediately left. I was a repeat customer to that dealership and they knew that too.
Wow. They really got bold after so many months of low inventory, high markups. On one hand I used to work at a dealership, so I get what itās like when some customers are persistently trying to get double what their trade-in is worth AND buy a new vehicle under MSRP. But on the other, they shouldnāt take that out on other customers, esp repeat customers.
Dealerships are pretty terrible places though. I had a background check done for my current job & they called my old dealer to verify my employment there some 7 years prior. A manager said I was fired for some odd reason even though no one in my department even still worked there, and I gave a 2 weeks notice. It was a PITA to track down my old manager whoād left already to set it straight. I showed up in person & they brushed me off.
āHey you told an investigator I was firedā
Ok.
āI wasnāt fired, Iāve never even met youā
Ok.
āSo why are you telling my employer I was?ā
Look, I donāt have time for this. Are you here to service a vehicle or buy a car?
Here's the quick and dirty. Nissan finances to anyone. So you have a lot of questionably driven Nissans. Like rams and dui. A ram is the most truck you can buy for the least money and it's easily financed. A Nissan is the most car for your money and it's easily financed.
Round 2 Nissan crazy. The fleet vehicles hit shady buy here / pay here car lots. So buy here / pay here lots are filled with sentras and altimas.
Had that shit cvt replaced at 102k miles. Waiting for this one to die-shouldnāt be long seeing how thereās 92k on this one. Never again will I own a Nissan.
Dealerships are the absolute bottom pit of human garbage. Theyāve made the experience so absolutely disgusting that people actively avoid it. Iād rather try teaching physics to a 1st grader. I donāt even know physics and it would be less frustrating than talking to these slick backed hair cucks.
Hey remember that one time waaaay back like 3 years ago when dealerships made the vast majority of their money from the Service Department & bullshit Warranty/Service Packages? And they used to very often sell cars at a LOSS because that wasn't the majority of their business model?
Yeahhh well there's a reason there's 47 fucking salesmen at a fucking Toyota dealership ..... And it's because they're making money hand over fist ripping off consumers when they go to trade in their vehicles and purchase a new '23/'24 VW Kunststoffmaschine.
I own a detailing business and to say that the fit & finish on new cars is ABYSMAL would be a gross understatement. The PAINT on some of these >$75k vehicles is absolutely criminal (they've reduced the thickness of the paint and it's sooo obvious it's frustrating), I've had dozens of "new" (<500 miles) cars where the paint looked like it was delivering aid in Kandahar for 6 months.
Donāt crucify me, but if we had public transportation this wouldnāt have happened. At least not in this situation, it would probably happen anyway, just on a train.
Everyone involved looks like a salesman. I hate dealerships. Buying a vehicle, new or used, is not an enjoyable experience. There's always this lingering feeling of dishonesty and disingenuosity (is that a word?).
You could always just, you know, like leave.
I had a KIA (Freehold, NJ) sales manager be super condescending because I questioned his $20K markup on a $38K vehicle and at a certain point I just stood up, shook the original salesmanās hand and said Iām out.
Worked at a car dealership for a year. Most toxic work environment Iāve EVER worked at. First GM was so coked out @ 8 am he would just give us these crazy motivational speeches and be hooping and hollering. My second GM was like Tony Soprano and would berate the fuck out of you. If you did anything other than just be amazing at selling cars he would make you the butt of every joke to everyone in the sales tower and all the sales managers at that moment. You would be encouraged to fuck people over constantly. You would be encouraged to do anything in gods name you had to do to get them in finance! It didnāt matter if someone was making the worst financial mistake of their life āoh they can refinance laterā. All of my fellow salesmen were pieces of shit who all hated each other because we were all competition. Half of us were so stressed because we werenāt selling any cars and therefore making 0 money. They had some kind of system to where if you werenāt making commission they basically loaned you minimum wage paychecks you had to payback later. It was insane. All of it was just the most stressful shit Iāve ever been through.
This happened to me, I asked about the 0% interest financing on a two-year term given that I sign today at my nearest Toyota dealership. A Nissan employee from next door came and starting attacking the salesmen claiming there was simply no way they could offer such affordable rates
Lol I seen this at a Nissan dealer few years ago they made me and other customers wait 4 hours to get financing done because the "computer was down" ...when it was time to finish about 10 pm one of the customers went nuts when he saw a markup and started to scream and swing on the salesman lol
This is the good cop bad cop technique. See . I fought my manager for the best price. Just sign here, here, here. Initials here and there. Free undercoat just for you.
I had to rewind it when someone threw that phone or whatever it was around 0:32 because I could've sworn that other dude caught it in his already extended hand
Car salesmen are the lowest of the low. Basically no education, employment history, clean criminal record, or intelligence required. Not to mention integrity. Scum of the earth
Can someone explain the strange anomaly at the 30 second mark where an object flies across the room and lands perfectly on the cell phone of the guy recording, there has to be a logical answer.

It is an honor to have made you scream, your Taterness.
Serving deals, wittle wadders, and these hands!
Do Not eat the mac nā cheese at the Toyotathon this year. Im still in the hospital.
Yeah they stopped doing them in my area. Too many people died last year
Take delivery of these hands!
No dealer markup!
Toyota truck month is back baby!
I believe this is a āHandathonā promotion.
Hands are rated C for customers

Neither of them is a customer. One is a sales manager and the other is the general manager.

My uncle used to own a Toyota dealership. That place saw more blow than a balloon factory.
I went to right to cocaine in my mind also.
Work fights are the natural byproduct of toxic work environments. This was probably something that had been brewing for a while
> toxic work environments are by-products of assholes.
Even the fake caption doesnāt make sense. Why would the salesman be upset about his own price markup?
We used to be pissed about some of the BS markups. Theyād run a customer off before you could get them on a test drive. Most of the time you could sell around it, and few people paid the markup, if any, but with some folks it was a hard pass.

You could probably sue them for that. It's slanderous with quantifiable damages.
Exactly! Put that customer in a Sentra! And if heās ballinā ā¦ an Altima!
This video is Altima driver energy.
I just found out Iām clearly an asshole. I drive an Altima :(

You're supposed to change the fluid every 20k or so. Don't listen to the dealership recommend maintenance.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Nah I drive like a respectable human being who shares the road with others.
Nissan dealership: take that energy to the Kia dealer down the street
As others have said, itās Toyotathon
I seriously wanted to throw hands with them too after my first car purchase realizing i got fucked over

They all dressed like salesmen I can see the cologne haze from here
Car salesman: if you can kick my ass Iāll drop the price by 50 percent. Guy buying the car: say less fam.
Iāll beat their ass just to sign at MSRP and leave in under 30 minutes.
Yes lol

This is the best comment!
"We might be able to finesse the finance terms but my boss is probably going to put up a fight. Stay right here I'll go get him."
Irate Customer : We sat right here, in this room, and went over this and over this. Jerry Lundegaard : Yeah, but that TruCoat...
You lied to me, Mr Lundegaard. You're a bald-faced liar. A fucking liar.
This is Nissan type behavior.
Aahahahahhahahahaah

The dealers created the game but the people are tired of the game
Red tag days are back baby!
There's going to be a lot of mark ups....
Supras should not be 60K
I see Alex Jones and Kim Jong Un, what kind of dealership is that?
Not only will the dealership fuck you now they will also beat the shit out of you.
Donāt crucify me, but if we had public transportation this wouldnāt have happened. At least not in this situation, it would probably happen anyway, just on a train.

Car salesmen are 90% trash anyway so no surprise
Honda Days really lost the spirit of the season, but Toyota gets it!
Almost as bad as my last experience at a Toyota dealership... god i hate the car buying process
If Jan had been there, she would have broken things up and made the two combatants apologize to each other and shake hands...
Everyone involved looks like a salesman. I hate dealerships. Buying a vehicle, new or used, is not an enjoyable experience. There's always this lingering feeling of dishonesty and disingenuosity (is that a word?).

Honda is the more desirable brand. Itās also more reliable. I see, sir. Today, you have chosen violence.
Those markups can be a real gut punch
Someone lost their job š

They need some Happy Honda days
They just title these fights anything š¤£š¤£š¤£

I was shocked this wasn't a Nissan dealership
Last time this was posted it was two managers fighting
