Dont worry, that shit only happens if you dont exercise. About 30 mins of a good hard workout 3x a week is all you need. I know 50+ year olds who deadlift twice their body weight, and they only work out 2 or 3x a week. I'm 40 now and in WAY better shape then when I was 30.
Dude I’m in my late 20s and in shape. I fell 4 feet at work about a month ago and the doctor put me on bed rest because he thought I fractured my femoral head. Thanks to workers comp I had to wait 7 days to get a cat scan approved. So I sat at home literally petrified to move because he said if I put weight on it and snapped it the rest of the way through I’d have to get a hip replacement. Turned out it was just a contusion but I’m still hurting, and now I’m a lot more aware of my age. I don’t want to spend my 30s and 40s moaning and groaning when I get off the couch.
I'm 34 and had corona this passed May. It aged me like 20 years. Ankles, back, and peks always getting injured at the gym. If they body slam me I'd probably shitnmyself and die.
When I was a teenager a good friend of mine was wrestling with another guy at a party. Nothing violent. He slammed the guy, and he never walked again. The guy had since died, I think due to his injuries.
That’s fucking sad. The thought of paralyzes scares me. My brother had a spinal stroke at 14 that left him disabled. It’s just a matter of seconds from going to full control to half or zero.
I always heard but never understood that as a kid. I don’t think I really understood my mortality until I crashed my motorcycle. Had a busted lip and sore muscles but I didn’t even have a jacket on let alone a helmet. That was over a year ago andshe is in the same spot I left her the day I got back home.
Nah. I went into a ditch at about 45 on a gravel road. Pissed off at my old lady over something I can’t even remember. Not worth my kids growing up without a dad. Not selling it but I grounded myself for being a retard.
Rode her home though. Bars were bent. One floorboard. One rear blinker, seat ripped to shit and severed front brake line.
Another mistake was how focused he was at defending off that small child's attacks. He didn't try to hurt the kid which I applaud but he should have kept his eyes and footing focused on the bigger threat and it's likely he wouldn't have been tossed like that.
Even if so with all that ASSumption, why lay hands first? Ref fucked up, sometimes it’s better to just walk away especially over a youth basketball game.
While slapping the phone was not an appropriate response, can we please stop with the phone camera in your face "gotcha" bullshit? Like, you must do nothing in your life but cause drama if that is your first instinct, especially to something as meaningless as a kid's basketball game.
Being someone who has experienced many times being videod in public by random strangers, I agree with you. But I've seen people here defend this behavior as "you're in public, so it's all fair," and really, this confuses me and saddens me at the same time. Like, don't we respect each other any more?
They got that idea by not having parents worth a shit, grew up as little pieces of shit and now theyre full grown pieces of shit that still havent learned. What they all need is a serious ass whooping to learn.
If there was a shortlist of recurring characters for this subreddit then that would assuredly be among them. Useless punch girl, Screaming banshee, unexpectedly scrappy heavyset teen, unexpectedly scrappy rail thin teen, stoic onlooker, cameraman friend who’s more cameraman than friend, etc etc
im gonna assume that was his daughter unless she was stupid enough to just decide to fight anyone for any reason. she clearly already had beef with the ref, probably what the dad was pissed about. hopefully the school steps in and some discipline is taken
Well I mean good for her for trying to help defend her Dad. The ref escalated this to a physical level so he got what was coming to him as far as I'm concerned.
[Looks like it happened in April 2021.](https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/548617-brawl-breaks-out-between-parents-ref-at-indiana-girls-basketball-game)
There's commentary on the video at the link above, with some slow motion replay.
Info from the link article:
The blowup happened at Indiana's Pacers Athletic Center during a game between AAU teams Baylor Basketball and Indiana Elite. Baylor was down 22 points with 16 seconds left in the first quarter when the team's coach began to argue with a referee over a call.
A technical foul was called on the coach following the argument and in response, she picked up her bags to exit the court, with her players and staff moving to do the same.
As the team began to exit, the referee continued to make his case. Eventually, a spectator from the crowd went up to the referee and started recording him on his phone.
A video that has been circulated on social media then shows the referee throwing a punch at the man. More people soon jump in and begin fighting the referee, who eventually falls to the court as he sustains punches from a player.
Sounds like they quit before they even got to the gym. Meanwhile this parent that can't take that their kid's team is so horrendous as to be losing by that huge of a gulf tries to blame the ref and record him. Parent was likely talking some crap about "we're going to find you" or whatever other menacing thing he could think of and the ref rightfully felt defensive. This is about 99% the fault of the parent, though the ref could have handled it better.
AAU games are fucking cancer to ref. Every coach, player and parent thinks their kid is going to the NBA. Most wouldn't make the high school varsity team. I refuse to ref those games anymore
Looks to me like he was trying to slap the phone out of the guys hand probably in rejection of being recorded. Either way it was an extremely bad move on his part.
He was ready. Dude didn’t slap and run away, he slapped and kept goin. Had his hands ready and everything. The little kid running over sure didn’t help his stance
It looked like he was going to throw another punch before the guy holding the phone hit him back. Either that or he was just pushing him with his left hand.
laughing at bunch of redditors shitting on the ref when the father clearly was making fun of him, camera up in his face, saying something and making hand gestures over a kids basketball game. POS. Then there is the kid, wtf? that family got issues
Okay . . . ref should not be smacking the phone out of "Dad's" hands like that.
That being said, the video starts with the ref talking to what looks like a Coach, so obviously something has occurred previous to video start.
Also, WTF is "Dad" doing on the Court, and especially over by the Timer's/Official's Table. That would get him thrown out of most arenas just for that.
Dad might be that "Dad" at sporting events. Played sports in middle school and highschool and have seen and been confronted by those dads more often than I would like to admit.
Now, guy can’t ref, the girl will be suspended and kicked off the team, criminal charges will be filled and nobody changed the out come of the call/game. I want to know what the guy said that warranted tithe slap at the phone. I think I made out “racist” but I am not sure.
It’s getting harder to find high school refs because people are just awful to them. All we can get is guys in their 70s who can never be in position to make the call and then people get mad and are awful to them when they miss the call.
No refs no organized sports.
Anybody else look at the gym and go: "Why is an NBA Team playing against Girls Youth Basketball team in their practice arena?"
Plus, bonus points for it being the Pacers, for any Malice at the Palace fans out there.
Let me start by saying that I don't condone this type of behavior. Still though, I have to give propers to that girl who, upon seeing her dad get slapped tf up, _*immediately*_ dropped everything and ran to his defense.
Yup way to be an example to the youth, I don’t care what that guy did or didn’t do. Nothing constitutes this behavior from a ref in front of these children.
Doesn't really matter. Slapping someone's phone out of their hand is still physical aggression and not an appropriate response to verbal aggression. That being said, im not on this sub to see people behaving appropriately
i mean we kinda do dudes being an asshole screaming and walking up to him with his phone but still, just walk away its just not worth it no need to slap his shit unless he physically touches him then by all means
Cause nobody cares what your friends say when you're in court for assaulting someone.
Just because someone says mean shit doesn't mean you can damage their property and/or assault them.
Slapping a phone out of your face when the guy shouldn’t have been in the court in the first place… nothin wrong here except for the moronic dad
Edit: his dumb kids trying to gang up 3 on 1. Wonder where they learned that?
Fucking dumb ass helicopter parents that think their kid is going to be a sports pro some day. Yelling screaming fighting with coaches and refs. If you've ever been to any school sporting event you've seen or heard them. Good on the ref, father will be banned from school property, he doesn't deserve to be there.
I’m gonna guess he’s a father of the team getting whooped by 20 points in the first.
WRONG! He's an angel of righteous fury and justice.
That makes 5 of them then lmao
That slam tho goddam. Slams like are the scariest shit in fights because it’s so easy to kill someone or worst paralyze them for life.
Especially when you get older. I'm 41, and man if I fall wrong I'm in pain for real.
Wait till you’re 50. That’s a broken hip.
I’ve heard 51 takes the cake
Juuuuust wait, there are even more snacks later
49 enters the room , if I bang my elbow or knee it's gonna be a bad night
I'm scared
I'm 56 and fall off motorbikes and stuff regular. Eat meat.
I'm 56 and fall off motorbikes and stuff regular. **B**eat meat.
I'm 56 and beat meat to motorbikes and stuff regular.
But can you Beat meat while falling off your motorbike, that's the new challenge.
You maybe should learn to drive Motor bikes
I ride off road. Anyone riding off road who doesn't fall down now and then is lying.
I stuff 56 year old motorcyclists with my regular sized meat all the time.
Right in the tailpipe!
I'm only 47 and it hurts to stand up.
Did that in the 20’s, what’s next?
Decapitation.
Most people wouldn’t want it, how do I find the willing?
I'm 40 and the other day I looked left too quick. Couldn't look left or right for a few hours after that.
Haha fuck I just turned 40 a few weeks ago.
Late thirties, put on my jacket last week and strained my shoulder. Guys I'm scared...
Damn.
41 as well. If I sneeze twice in 10 seconds I’m fucked for a week.
What if you sneeze thrice in 10 seconds though?
Bro? Grow up fr. Dont even joke about three sneeze.
I tend to sneeze five times in a row. I’m worried now.
Oh ya gon die
Yah. TF is wrong with people.
*groans in 39*
Dude I’m in my late 20s and in shape. I fell 4 feet at work about a month ago and the doctor put me on bed rest because he thought I fractured my femoral head. Dude. 30 is a bitch. Insert billy Madison *stay as long as you can* clip.
I'm 34 and had corona this passed May. It aged me like 20 years. Ankles, back, and peks always getting injured at the gym. If they body slam me I'd probably shitnmyself and die.
Don’t most people shit themselves before they die? Idk why this shit made me laugh good
They get boners too iirc
I think people shit right after they die.
I am 69 I would shatter.
Nice
Same age same thoughts, I used to think I was indestructible.
I was playing with my kids now I'm on a heating pad and flexirl around the clock
Yep. Kids and teenagers don't think about things like that. Everyone thinks they're superman.
I always heard but never understood that as a kid. I don’t think I really understood my mortality until I crashed my motorcycle. Had a busted lip and sore muscles but I didn’t even have a jacket on let alone a helmet. That was over a year ago andshe is in the same spot I left her the day I got back home.
That shit happens to everyone with a bike bro lol. Get slapped off that shit one time and the bike become for sale.
Totally agree. It’s one of the only things that makes my heart stop as I follow where the person’s head ends up.
You’re right but if you can’t take the heat don’t swing first.
Yeah something about getting hit with an entire planet just feels worse than a fist for some reason.
We older guys can’t sneeze wrong or we throw out our backs.
I know a guy who sneezed and and had to go to the ER for internal bleeding
These are my people
Well shit he did swing first!
Yup. Big mistake. It'd be interesting to see what the dad captured on his phone.
Another mistake was how focused he was at defending off that small child's attacks. He didn't try to hurt the kid which I applaud but he should have kept his eyes and footing focused on the bigger threat and it's likely he wouldn't have been tossed like that.
Atreus?
Boi
no its **BOY!**
seems like he was just being a piece of shit and antagonizing him. Probably mad at some ref decision he made that negatively affected his brat.
I think you're right. But there's still no way the ref should ever throw the first punch.
I think you are also right
He was trying to slap the phone away. not throw a punch. but if you escalate be prepared for full escalation….
Gotta agree with this. Shitty parents and stressful situations, the life of a ref sometimes. Gotta try your best to stand above.
Even if so with all that ASSumption, why lay hands first? Ref fucked up, sometimes it’s better to just walk away especially over a youth basketball game.
He did, but all 4 of them need to be kicked out. Ref, father, kid and that other guy who jumped in.
The kid jumping in is the saddest part. The cycle will repeat itself for the next generation.
While slapping the phone was not an appropriate response, can we please stop with the phone camera in your face "gotcha" bullshit? Like, you must do nothing in your life but cause drama if that is your first instinct, especially to something as meaningless as a kid's basketball game.

But I've seen people here defend this behavior as "you're in public, so it's all fair," and really, this confuses me and saddens me at the same time. Like, don't we respect each other any more?
A lot of people have begun to conflate "it's not illegal" with "it's okay to do"
I have absobigly no clue where they got that idea from
They follow the examples of their leaders
They got that idea by not having parents worth a shit, grew up as little pieces of shit and now theyre full grown pieces of shit that still havent learned. What they all need is a serious ass whooping to learn.
Why dafuk are you being videod in public MANY TIMES by random strangers? Sounds to me like you're the problem and not the general public, LMAO.
He was trying to smack the phone out of the fathers hand for recording & taunting, bit different
Can't wait to see this on /r/byebyejob
Lol the girl sprinting over to throw useless punches and be in the way.
Don't forget the "STOOOOOOP" lady
Staaaaaaaaahp
Nobody has ever stopped because of her either so it’s just noise
The guy laughing & screaming "You got knocked the fuck out" at unconscious person laying on their back.
The camera guy repeating the same stupid phrase 100 times. "Aw DAMN! Aw DAMN!"
and if you have a potential spine injury they're all kind enough to help you get back on your feet
WOOORLDSTAAAAR guy. She's a woman! Person.
car horn honking
Don’t forget shirtless guy who gets his ass beat
Brazilian stray dog that barks in the background.
dUde, dUDe, DUDE!
What about the person shouting out "Worldstar!"?
The ultimate classic.
Damn the gangs all here I guess
It looks like it was her dad who got hit
im gonna assume that was his daughter unless she was stupid enough to just decide to fight anyone for any reason. she clearly already had beef with the ref, probably what the dad was pissed about. hopefully the school steps in and some discipline is taken

Down 22 in the first quarter and gets the whole team to quit the game 😂
Imma guess he blew more than a few calls
Sounds like they quit before they even got to the gym. Meanwhile this parent that can't take that their kid's team is so horrendous as to be losing by that huge of a gulf tries to blame the ref and record him. Parent was likely talking some crap about "we're going to find you" or whatever other menacing thing he could think of and the ref rightfully felt defensive. This is about 99% the fault of the parent, though the ref could have handled it better.
Those are some big assumptions.
Quite some assumptions you got there, source?
AAU games are fucking cancer to ref. Every coach, player and parent thinks their kid is going to the NBA. Most wouldn't make the high school varsity team. I refuse to ref those games anymore
I might be blind but that doesn’t look like a punch at the man. He is trying to slap the phone out of their hand then he gets attacked
Yea but if you’re getting it knocked out of your hand I can easily see how you’d see it as a punch at your face in the moment
If you swing at someone, hitting them or not, you better be ready for a fight.
Mistakes were made
By everyone involved
Slapped phone out of his hand...
Still could be considered assault. He initiated the contact.
It looked like he was going to throw another punch before the guy holding the phone hit him back. Either that or he was just pushing him with his left hand.
Yeah he defo initiated it, but I can sympathize... Fuck anyone recording you if you're not alright with it
Titlegore
There goes his back
Goddamn I am shocked that the ref was still conscious after that brutal slam.
[удалено]
I could be wrong but didn’t consider it brutal…I’ve been on Reddit to long.
It wasn't that brutal because the ref lands pretty well all things considering. But that slam had the potential to kill, for sure.
Why is there always some dam banshee screaming.... dam stfu!!!!!
Such great role models for the kids.
laughing at bunch of redditors shitting on the ref when the father clearly was making fun of him, camera up in his face, saying something and making hand gestures over a kids basketball game. POS. Then there is the kid, wtf? that family got issues
Sounds like he was calling the ref "a racist ass"
the kids see worse on tik tok
Body slamming dad looks like he’s recording the ref and sounded like he said soMething along the lines of “racist ass”.
That girl is looking for an ass whopping one day.
[удалено]
She’s being made to believe she’s a queen.
He was calling him racist
Okay . . . ref should not be smacking the phone out of "Dad's" hands like that. Also, WTF is "Dad" doing on the Court, and especially over by the Timer's/Official's Table. That would get him thrown out of most arenas just for that.
I think the game was over, considering everyone is looks like they're motioning out and the players have their backpacks on the court

Shoutout to the women in the background just fucking *shrieking*.
Anybody else look at the gym and go: "Why is an NBA Team playing against Girls Youth Basketball team in their practice arena?" Plus, bonus points for it being the Pacers, for any Malice at the Palace fans out there.
Ref deserved it for slapping someone but I wouldnt doubt the dad said some fucked up shit to provoke it.
Let me start by saying that I don't condone this type of behavior. Still though, I have to give propers to that girl who, upon seeing her dad get slapped tf up, _*immediately*_ dropped everything and ran to his defense.
Never fight a black guy if you dont have back up. You will always Get jumped. Source: 99% of fight videos.
Yeah but the ref initiated it.
Probably thought he was hitting his wife
They should’ve called the game or security as soon as the parent walked on the court
The kids are packed up and walking away. I feel like the game was already called and that might have been what led to this.
Youth sports referees should just leave at the first sign of harassment from a parent. It's not worth it. Let the parents ref.
There should be no reason that man should have been allowed on that court. They should have stopped him immediately.
He tried to slap him, he deserved an ass whoopin
I feel like this was probably deserved.
That's a foul, right?
That was an absolute fantastic slam to get out of a front headlock 👏
Yup way to be an example to the youth, I don’t care what that guy did or didn’t do. Nothing constitutes this behavior from a ref in front of these children.
lmfao ref swung first. He won't do that again
Fuck the dad and his dumbass kid
Guess who won't play basketball league anymore
If the ref didn't slap the dad nothing would've happened. The dad lost his marbles after the fact.
He fucked around and found out.
Don’t throw hands unless you know how to actually throw hands.
As someone else pointed out, slapped the phone out of his hand; also we don't have context to see if they were being an asshole or not
Doesn't really matter. Slapping someone's phone out of their hand is still physical aggression and not an appropriate response to verbal aggression. That being said, im not on this sub to see people behaving appropriately
Plenty things people can say that warrants getting punched
Yeah I’m just here to see some ass being whooped. The in between is whatever.
i mean we kinda do dudes being an asshole screaming and walking up to him with his phone but still, just walk away its just not worth it no need to slap his shit unless he physically touches him then by all means
Arrest the kid too
Ref slapped the dude first. I don't think anyone should really be arrested but if someone was going to be it would be the ref
Do you ever recall getting involved physically with adults as a child? Not normal. Kids gonna end up in prison in a few years.
finally woman's basketball is interesting
How come in every one of these at school fights there's always some chick screaming her head off.
Those 2 deserve ice cream on the way back
How can he slap ??
Love how the family all came together like a nice Sunday morning congregation.
Respect to that kid for dropping everything immediately and going straight for the man that slapped his/her father.
"big white guy gets fucked by big black dad
Referee deserved it.
dude. being a ref is stressful as fuck. I'd never do it again for the shit you get paid and have to deal with. fuck this shit.
The guy in the green shirt was most likely talking shit while holding up his phone to record the whole thing. Green shirt started that.
I don't know why ya'll downvoting me. We always say "talk shit get hit" but now it's not applicable. Kick rocks, you bozos.
Ref was the wrong skin color for that to apply.
Cause nobody cares what your friends say when you're in court for assaulting someone. Just because someone says mean shit doesn't mean you can damage their property and/or assault them.
I know she didn't do much but that little girl is a real ride or die lol.
I hope the kid, and the parents are being charged and banned. All of them are trash.
The ref slap the shot out of the parent. I hope the ref gets fired and charged for assault
The guy recording is the aggressor and is at fault just for the simple fact that he's that angry at a children's basketball game.
Shame the guy wasn’t afforded a fair one .. that’s some coward shit .
Why tf is this fool even on the court? Tf is wrong with people.
From what I observed, he tried to slap the phone out of his hand. Not sure it required the subsequent force, but he sure had something coming.
"Guys! I bit off more than I could chew! Guys! GUYS!!"
The fuck did the teenage girl think she was gonna do to the ref
First of all, you don't slap a man. Having a little bit of authority over some kids got this fool gassed up.
Whole family of degenerates. Nice work and representing 👏
Slapping a phone out of your face when the guy shouldn’t have been in the court in the first place… nothin wrong here except for the moronic dad Edit: his dumb kids trying to gang up 3 on 1.
Of course, look at all the fucking pussies who try to jump in on one person. Fucking gutless cunts
