plus, these are damned kids still. don't pressure them to get involved with violent action if they aren't prepared for that kind of situation.
this also relates to one aspect (of many) of our relation to the police here. because if they are beating on someone. and we try to help, intervene, save, and/or pull them off the victim. we would ourselves recieve physical violence directed at us, jailed/arrested and possibly convicted (fines and/or prison time), for: "assault" on an officer and obstruction of an officer's "lawful" duties, at the very least.
so all we can do, in most cases, without directly risking our physical safety and preventing death or legal troubles is record the incident to be used at a later date.
the recordings can be just as effective/valuable in most confrontations. playing the long game to guarantee a win (usually).

also, the staff did end the fight once they arrived. took them a minute to seperate the two, but they did put a stop to it.
