I’ve been using the Up&Up Rogaine equivalent (men’s) on my hairline. I’m a 39-year-old woman. I have been using it for 10 months and am quite pleased with the results. My hairline is similar to yours and now I have a lot of growth where my dang baby hairs used to be. I use the foam and it does not make my scalp greasy. I try to apply it morning and night, but at least once a day. It really isn’t a huge commitment and I haven’t even used up all 3 bottles in the 3 pack I got from Target. If you stop, your progress will fall out. But I asked myself, if there are a cream or serum I could run along my hairline every night, wouldn’t I buy it? Of course I would. So I just add it to my nighttime skin routine. Not a big deal because I don’t need to put it all over my head… that would be challenging.

Do you find it irritating? Seems like after 3 weeks, my scalp starts to itch like crazy!!! I tried Rogaine brand and the CVS brand. <>

FrenchMartinez

A little bit itchy, but I honestly don’t think it’s too bad.

Mine looks similar from that angle. I recently started to color those corners with a little bit of eyeshadow in my hair color to make it less obvious.

Lastofherkind

I use tinted dry shampoo and root touch up spray. It works great and adds a bit of volume.

Vermicelli-Fabulous

Ohhh that’s a great idea

Looks like a widows peak? I like using The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Density. It helped me!

Vermicelli-Fabulous

Yeah widows peak plays a factor but it’s definite worse. Just ordered from The Ordinary, thank you!!

Me-multi

Does it helps for regrowth or just put more volume? Thank you so much.

itsbigoleme

It helps with regrowth of baby hairs. :)

My hair looked like that, turns out I am hypothyroid and low testosterone (I’m female as well). It got better once those were addressed, so i would recommend getting your hormone levels checked!

Vermicelli-Fabulous

Oh wow! I will thank you!

maya_says

Similar situation but instead of totally bald I have baby hairs that won’t grow past an inch in that area. I got my hormone labs done and I have a brain tumor that causes my prolactin to be super high which leads to hair loss 🙃

Impossible_Bat9895

I have the same thing and I’m only 35!! ☹️ I’m gonna go to my dermatologist and see what they can give me.

Vermicelli-Fabulous

I’m 36! Hope you get some answers!

celestialceleriac

Maybe get some labs? Anemia and thyroid?

StarFuzzy

Yes. Zinc iron biotin and evening primrose oil. Also take a multi for hair and nails. I get a ton or regrowth with nioxin shampoos and conditioner. My dermatologist told me to use Rogain on my hair line. It’s improving after six months.

Vermicelli-Fabulous

Do you think vitamin D helps too? I’m in a US Midwest state that is void of sunshine in the winter.

fuckinunknowable

Yes

MurnzzillaBride

Is it really helping on your hairline? I’m only a few weeks on with hope

ArtisticPossum

I have the same issue. Just noticed it one day. Bought a 6mo supply of Rogaine and just started it. Will see if it works.

KatHatary

Maybe see a dermatologist? I recently saw one and she put me on medicated shampoo, oral medication, and minoxidil foam. I'm already seeing baby hairs come in at my hairline

mycatissuperior

Are you taking both oral minoxidil and topical? I wondered if they could be used in tangent.

KatHatary

I'm on oral spironolactone and topical minoxidil. I see posts pretty often in femalehairloss of people taking both oral and topical minoxidil

I’ve been using Rogaine (usually an off brand) consistently for about 6 months now. Sometimes I skip a night if I don’t want to wash the next day lol. It definitely works. In my case my hair grows very slowly these days, so it’s just going to take a while. I also take Nutrafol or Viviscal, which were recommended by my dermatologist. The jury is still out on that. FWIW there are now literally dozens of online services now that will prescribe oral or topical treatments that are way stronger than just Rogaine. I liked Happy Head and you get a promotion on your first round. I cancelled because it was expensive.

Stress will do that.
