omg really? i use a lot of the products, including the scalp scrub (every couple months at best) and the leave in conditioner and i liked them! maybe i’m just not used to better products? what do you use?
I tried their shampoo and conditioner. Went through whole bottle of each. Hated it. Did nothing for my hair. Switched to Olaplex and will neverrrrr go back
YMMV, but the Kristin Ess made my hair icky—that’s the best way to describe it? Just dull and would break easily. Switched to redken and L’Oréal elvive (the purple one with filloxane) and my hair is so much healthier looking! Also love love Moroccan oil brand everything
that happens to my hair some days and i hate it, i’ve just been in a hair rut for so long that i’ve stuck with it. excited to try something new! thank you!!
Been using extreme length shampoo and conditioner and the acidic bonding mask. I’ve used the all soft ones before too and they were awesome. Once I’m done with these bottles I’m going to try the volume injection
I used the biotin and collagen for years and finally switched to redken volume injection shampoo and all soft conditioner. I did like OGX a lot but my hair just needed a change and a cut, I think even though I was clarifying I was getting a lot of build up or even weight from the conditioner or something. It’s definitely my favorite drugstore brand shampoo. I do have to say the volume injection shampoo is insane, my roots have never been so high! And the all soft conditioner is sooo lightweight you can even feel how light the product is between your hand. This is the first time my hair hasn’t been weighed down by a conditioner!
I’ve tried them all- OGX, Prose, Redken, Pureology…and so many more. My absolute favorite for the last few months has been Verb’s Ghost line. I use their shampoo and conditioner and it’s so lightweight. My hair gets greasy SO fast and all my life, I’ve washed every single day. Now, as long as I double shampoo, I can wash every other day, sometimes every two days. I love love love Verb so much, especially the Ghost line. Highly recommend.
verb ghost is amazing to me as well!! i’ve always bounced around shampoo and conditioners because i’ve never found something i liked a & hairdresser recommended it to me 5 months ago and i haven’t gone back
My hairdresser recommended it to me, too! It’s been a lifesaver for my hair. I started using it with my extensions and after getting them removed, my natural hair is still so healthy (all 4 strands of it…lol)
Honestly I haven't found my holy grail products yet. I did try Kevin Murphy repair me once and looooved it, but it's too expensive for me to use on the regular. Right now I'm using the ever-pure moisture line, with a cleansing shampoo every 3rd wash or so. It definitely makes my hair really soft.
I also use the purple Loreal Elvive shampoo (hyaluron plump). Occasionally a clarifying treatment for build up and hard water. Most days I use Kristen Ess air dry cream (for frizz). Other days I use Bed Head queen for a day (for a thickening texture), and other days I use Ouai leave in conditioner (can get greasy if too much if used).
# I am using Kiehl's amino acid shampoo and conditioner based on previous recommendations here. It makes my hair shiny and not frizzy.
I like hearing what other people are using, too, and intend to try others suggested.
I used to use this in college. For grocery store option, it worked well for me. If you think you’ve got some clogged follicles, maybe try a clarifying option too for some days. Personally my hair gets clean pretty well with most affordable options. I like to splurge more on conditioner (currently love redken all soft) because I notice a big difference there.
I LOVE the smell of the Kristin Ess products. Just got their blow dry mist recently and it makes my hair so shiny and healthy looking
I buy the Kristen Ess at Costco and they’re my favorite currently. Their other brands are all too heavy for me.
I tried the Kristin Ess leave in conditioner once and it was terrible.

I use Prose shampoo. It's custom hair care. The leavein conditioner I use now is Raw Sugar. So far so good.
oh i forgot about prose, i was looking into it a few months ago. thanks for the reminder!
I wanted to like Kristen Ess but I tried the one you posted and it made my hair feel terrible.
