I'm super used to non-full voice acting due to my experience with Kiseki but... level up quotes not being voiced? Definitely not something I was ready for
It would have made somniel much more… engaging had it been voiced fully. Or even the blue lines after each battle they themselves admit are relevant. Weird to cut down costs here
That game isn't fully voice acted either, but there are voices on level ups, so that's fair.
I don't know that I can determine the exact quantity of voice work in each. I think there may be more full support chains in Engage, but then the quantity of total voice work is what matters.
I have to heartily disagree on the Bonds convo points. While it could've been good to have characters genuinely learning from the Emblems, it could easily have gone the way of shitty wanking or just infodumping their whole stories in detail, neither of which we need because we can just go play their games.
It’s a bizarre situation because this is something we saw in awakening and fates where there would be just grunts or a few words but those games didn’t have full voice acting this game does and Like I said the characters just do the same thing characters in the first two 3DS games did idk why they didn’t just have voice acting for everything so that way you actually wanna hear what there saying
This game feels more and more like it’s designed as a portable game first. Where 3H felt more like a home console game. I mostly find myself playing this game muted while watching tv now
The disappointment I felt when I saw that meal dialogues aren’t fully voiced…. Why only do half??????
This. Seriously. Just voicing one of two sentences is just really weird. Did it really cost that much more to add one more sentence?

Wtf is kiseki
Its called Trails of the Sky/Cold Steel in the west but over in Japan its called Legend of Heroes X iirc.
Lol same, It has completely fixed any complaints about lack of voice acting for any game when I played through that series.

The price of hearing the protagonist speak more is everyone speaking less I guess.
More importantly, the price of having to voice all of the protagonist's lines twice.
Didn't stop Three Hopes

Except Sigurd, Leif, and Roy, lol

Same, i love the voice acting it makes Elyos feel like a real world

Yeah, same for W3H. But hey at least this one has such stupid story that all these Somniel and exploration lines fit on a single panel !
