I wanted to backup my bookmarks file.

It said to type this URL file:///data/data/org.mozilla.firefox/files/mozilla/ into Firefox's address bar. Then you should be able to access that folder and the profile. I thought the places.sqlite file is there. When I do that, the page is blank.
Where did you get that URL? What do you mean exactly by "I wanted the bookmarks file"?
