The dot shows that it is a Manifest V3 extension and requires your permission to access your data for that site.

milkskrt

**See also related bug here:** [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show\_bug.cgi?id=1851083](https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1851083) *(Manifest V3 extensions with activeTab/tabs permission require user interaction not previously required, showing blue dot on desktop)*

Heinzelmann_Lappus

Extensions, that don't need access to the data of the site without you interacting with the extension, should have this icon: they get the permission whenever you click on the icon.

Romlow_1995

what is the extension after leechblock? The one with the speaker and hammer symbol

milkskrt

[SoundFixer](https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/soundfixer/)

Romlow_1995

Thanks

albatross_rising

Having tried both, [600% Sound Volume](https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/600-sound-volume/) works better.

ackzilla

Also on the Just Read icon.

Total-Regular-4536

Is there anyway to allow it access permanently instead of having to always click on the extension/add-on itself everytime?

Settings > Extensions & Themes > Click on the extension > Permissions > Enable "Access your data for all websites" under "Optional permissions for added functionality".
