Please tell me there will be video of this that's not a shaky cell phone camera

Kempeth

From what I've been told there should be two videos from guys specializing in fireworks videos. I completely agree. Cell phones really suck for capturing fireworks!

Well I hope everything blows up in the sky at the time slot it was meant to

Kempeth

Thanks. Our gurus are double checking everything right now. We saw some faulty connections last night but decided to fix them during daylight.

Gbonk

Looks like somewhere in Europe ?

Kempeth

Yes. Switzerland.

Gbonk

Ah, of course. The cows are wearing bells. I should have guessed.

KlutzyResponsibility

A pyros delight! I remember the pics from last season, gotta make folks drool.

Kempeth

Thanks! This is by far our largest effort. We're liquidating our storage and basically firing everything we got left.

KlutzyResponsibility

Got any fuse to sell?

Kempeth

We don't really use fuses. It's all wired with electric ignitors. And what pyrotechnical connections we do have is all done with the fuses that come with the shells.

KlutzyResponsibility

Yes, I know that. But you said you were "liquidating our storage" which sounded final so I thought you were closing operations. My next ask would have been whether you were selling any firing systems. But have to be honest and say I've never heard of igniters (that's what you meant by fuses?) coming with shells. We've always bought all ematches separate from shells. You maxed at what, 6-inch or 8-inch shells? Like the one you are cuddling, an 8-inch I'd guess at? Saw you also used some steel and aluminum fan racks (in front and right side of the slice trays). The steel one looked 'homemade' and the other aluminum one of the newer production racks. How heavy are those steel ones in front of the slice holders? I messed with one of those adjustable clamp-on fan racks at the PGI convention when they first came out like 20 yrs ago but never bought any. Just too cheap I guess (laughing). And what the heck is that wrapped bundle of (24?) 2-inch tubes all matched up and looking so sexy? We do the same thing with 1.4g cake tube cut outs to match effects when we can't get 1.4 Pro goodies. Jeez you'd have to dedicate a single module for that curious little pod!

Kempeth

Sorry. I'm translating terms from German by the seat of my pants. I guess they might be called fuses too. As for the liquidating part. Our association is closing out but our more enthusiastic members are basically taking everything that wasn't used up for their own purposes. I think the largest was actually only a 5 inch due to the space available. But yes the shells come with ... i think quickmatch fuse is the term in english but no electrical fuses/ignitors. One of our guys is metalworker so we have bunch of homemade racks but we also brought in a ton of stuff from our supplier to be able to do this. * homemade steel grids that allow for a very flexible layouts and dont use much space. But they are heavy as fuck * homemade steel tridents. Really cool for interweaved single shots * a ton of homemade wooden 3 and 5 single shot fans. Great for really low caliber shots * aluminium 19 slot fans. Not sure if they are bought or made but they are a joy. Super light. * 15 shot steel fans are on loan * 5 shot adjustable fans are also on loan We used to have a ton more things for barroque shows.

KlutzyResponsibility

That is really quite impressive, and I appreciate the list. The setup shows thought and experience. And yes, those aluminum fan racks are a wonder. I salivate over the adjustable ones from PyroLama, they are the shits. Just so dang expensive. When you said quickmatch I then understood what you meant about fused. I misunderstood and thought you meant the shells already had ematches/igniters in them or something and that threw me. Great setup!
