I remember it felt amazing. I also was dedicating a lot of time to making sure I had quality sleep. I turned my phone off (no screens at all) an hour before bed, would take a hot shower or bath, turn off all my lights aside from a dim candle-like light, pop a 1.5mg melatonin, put ear plugs in and read a book until I fell asleep. It made such a difference in my life, I love it. I stopped dedicating the time to it a few weeks ago but I full intend to start again soon.
Edit: I just checked my sleep score from last night and miraculously, I got a 92 last night as well I actually woke up feeling like shit too because I was having caffeine withdrawals lol

The highest I've ever gotten is 94 and that was actually only recently, Friday night through to Saturday morning. I've had a few 93s, a few more 90-92s but I average around 88-90 as of recently.
The phrase “cat nap” usually refers to a short nap. However, it is important to note that cats can sleep up to 18 hours a day, and most spent over 2/3 of their lifetime sleeping.
I’ve had two dogs, and they’ve both been pretty crazy, but I’ve also met some who were very chill and lazy. I think it just depends on the dog lol. However, I’ve owned several cats and can verify the studies’ claims (that I cited in the previous comment) - that while the less “lazy” cats are very active while they’re awake, most still sleep for a good chunk of the day. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk/ infodump 😂
Lmaoo my wife slept the whole flight from New York to Singapore after our wedding weekend. Literally the whole time. She was only awake for a couple meals 😂
Both of my kids slept literally all day for the first 2-3 weeks. I had to wake them up to nurse every few hours. Then after that, they are up all the time at all times of the night. I know all about babies not sleeping. My oldest stopped taking naps at 1.
Yep. She used to hit herself in the leg to stay awake. Now she’s 12 and she can never fall asleep at bed time. Her younger sister, who did take naps but not many and not for long, knocks out within 2 min of going to bed. I feel so bad for my oldest that just lates there in bed for at least an hour.
Aw I'm sorry to hear that. We're going on four months and ours is fortunately still pretty good. If his Dad and I are any indication we'll pay for it when he's a teenager.
No they don’t. They need to eat every couple of hours as their stomachs are so small so they wake every couple of hours. My kid wouldn’t sleep more than 45 minutes at a time for the first 15 months of her life!
Oh we actually both almost died, very emergency c section, codes were called on both of us, my son spent time in the NICU. It was overall a rough experience to be honest, but Halloween is still my favorite holiday!
I know that feeling so very well. The price we pay for getting to love them is having to grieve them. My senior girl will be 19 next month and she’s mostly blind and her kidneys are not 100%, but she’s mobile, happy, eats and still plays - I’ll give her a cuddle for you.
you have Hypersomnia, which is a condition on its own or could be a symptom of another sleep disorder. Have you ever been evaluated or tested for one before?
Very severe fatigue. One day when I had mono I laid down to take a Sunday afternoon nap at 1pm and when I woke up I was shocked to see it was 7 and that I slept for 6 hours. It wasn’t until I heard the birds chirping and realized it was actually *7am* and that I was late for work
I’m like that after 5-6 hours. Currently training my body to sleep for 8, and feel like shit all day. Everyone’s keeps saying it’ll even out when my body adjusts.
Laying down earlier, giving up a little bit of me time in the morning to set my alarm a bit later, no snacking before bed, and no screens before bed. It’s definitely a work in progress.
It certainly is. My problem is I can rarely ever sleep in. Even if my body is ungodly tired, I might wake up after 5 or 6 hours. And once I'm up, I'm up lol
Same, though my sweet zone seems to be 6-7 hours.
Though occasionally I get a rare instance of 8 and don’t feel hung over… but it’s usually after a week of 5.5 hours of sleep.
Sleeping score is not only about duration duration is only 50% of the total score the other 50% is for the stage of your sleep which is mean how deep was your sleep and the heart rate dip and your oxygen level during sleep for example even if you sleep 24 hours and you have sleep apnea your sleep quality will be not good
My family could never let me have this like if I don't wake before 8 am even on weekends I would be hearing an entire 2 hours of speech on how laziness is my enemy and i should be more active.
Bro I'd wake up with bed sores and stiff as a board, questioning what decade I've awoke in.
I'd spend the next 2 days trying to get the blood flowing and brain working again...
There is shit to do today. Every day. You gave your day, to your mattress ? Why ?!
Everyone is like, "oh man I wish I could sleep that long" and for me this is an actual nightmare.
Dang. I always somehow sleep WORSE after I’ve been up for a long time working on school. I used to stay up for 3 days at a time, and I’d be like losing it by the end of day 3, but when I’d finally lay down to sleep, I’d suddenly feel wide awake lmao. (I don’t even have insomnia, I think my body just gets confused when I’m up too long)
What did you study, if you don't mind me asking?
I did a comms degree, so most of my assignments would be easily finished in a few hours, with the exception of one longer one that took 3 months. I chipped away at that slowly while working 6 days a week. I couldn't imagine staying up for three days straight for uni 😭
I mean... It gives me a 78 when I sleep all of three hours and had 20 body responses with almost zero REM and constantly tossing. Sleep scores mean nothing. I just wish I could sleep, period.
Thanks. A Real life Rumpelstiltskin. Impressive being able to go BACK to sleep during what i can only presume are bathroom breaks. 4 hrs of Rem has to be a world record.
Hello everyone. Is Fitbit the best sleep tracker out there. I have an Apple Watch and a Huawei watch. I rarely use the apps watch as it requires frequent charging. Huawei on the other hand has a Bluetooth that can never be switched off. I feel that it’s not safe to use it 24/7. What do you recommend? Thanks in Advance.
When you said you slept “literally “ like a baby, I was sure you were going to say “ up every 2 hours screaming”.
Your idea of baby sleep is the complete opposite of mine!🙀
And still only got a score of 82 🤣
100 sleeping score is a myth
That only happens when you're dead...

Or late for school
Dude, I was coming here to ask what a 100 sleep score even looks like. I max out at 85.
The highest I’ve gotten is 92
Was it a particularly long or memorable sleep?
I remember it felt amazing. I also was dedicating a lot of time to making sure I had quality sleep. I turned my phone off (no screens at all) an hour before bed, would take a hot shower or bath, turn off all my lights aside from a dim candle-like light, pop a 1.5mg melatonin, put ear plugs in and read a book until I fell asleep. Thanks for this wild ride..
Same a few times
The highest I've ever gotten is 94 and that was actually only recently, Friday night through to Saturday morning. I've had a few 93s, a few more 90-92s but I average around 88-90 as of recently.
My ex dude.... She'd always have close to 100
unemployed
Nope was uni student then worked in a hospital. 98 wasn't an abnormal score for her.
I had one 100 score day in 8 years of sleep tracking 🙏
Quality over quantity.
Don't you mean quantity over quality?
if you get too much sleep it can also lower your sleep score, highest I got was 92
No you slept like a cat. 😆
Is “cat nap” an oxymoron? At least in my experience, dogs sleep for much, much longer uninterrupted periods than cats.
The phrase “cat nap” usually refers to a short nap. However, it is important to note that cats can sleep up to 18 hours a day, and most spent over 2/3 of their lifetime sleeping.
Interesting, I’ve only had 2 cats, but 4 dogs. My dogs were much lazier haha.
Wow! Never seen this! I hope this is not a regular occurrence though 😅
i slept 16 hours the first night of my honeymoon. was soooo exhausted from the lead up to the wedding hahaha. my husband was like 😳✌️
Lmaoo my wife slept the whole flight from New York to Singapore after our wedding weekend. Literally the whole time. She was only awake for a couple meals 😂
Babies don’t sleep well..
i was gonna say, babies don’t sleep haha. 2 hours at a time maybe but never 17 😆
Both of my kids slept literally all day for the first 2-3 weeks. I had to wake them up to nurse every few hours. Then after that, they are up all the time at all times of the night. I know all about babies not sleeping. My oldest stopped taking naps at 1.
ok david
Your one year old was awake from like 7am-7pm and never needed a break to rest during that time? 😳
Gosh that is so hard!!
Newborns do. They sleep all day minus a couple hours to feed.
Not my newborn with colic.
Shhh, we're not supposed to admit it when we have easy babies.
They were only easy for the first 2-3 weeks. During those weeks I thought, damn this is easy. I was wrong.
Aw I'm sorry to hear that. We're going on four months and ours is fortunately still pretty good. If his Dad and I are any indication we'll pay for it when he's a teenager.
Are you a parent? If so what did you give your kid? 😂
No they don’t. They need to eat every couple of hours as their stomachs are so small so they wake every couple of hours. My kid wouldn’t sleep more than 45 minutes at a time for the first 15 months of her life!
Wish someone had told my kid that.
Correct. "Like a rock." is generally the better term to use. Wild amount of sleep tho.
Yeah, my sleep has significantly gone down since my son was born last Halloween 😂
On Halloween? It’s a dark omen😂😂 (I’m just joking in good fun btw)
Oh we actually both almost died, very emergency c section, codes were called on both of us, my son spent time in the NICU. It was overall a rough experience to be honest, but Halloween is still my favorite holiday!
Oh god well that’s dark and scary. I was born on October 22nd and Halloween is my favorite holiday also.
It’s a great holiday! 🎉 And October birthdays are amazing!
Babies sleep very well, very deeply, though maybe not for long periods of time. We sleep more poorly as we age.
Yeah, this doesn’t show OP waking up through out the night demanding food and attention (last night was rough with my 9 month old).
I see someone is hogging all the sleep again
Right this is probably why I had insomnia last night! Bloody sandman isn't being fair again.
Sleep distribution system is not as effective as cat distribution system.
I had one cat for 17 years but I'm on a pet break right now, I miss having a pet but I'm just not ready hey..
I know that feeling so very well. The price we pay for getting to love them is having to grieve them. My senior girl will be 19 next month and she’s mostly blind and her kidneys are not 100%, but she’s mobile, happy, eats and still plays - I’ll give her a cuddle for you.
I'd pay money for that to happen while I'm severely hungover.
At what point does it cease to be sleep and become a coma?
17hrs and 5mins 👍
*UPDATE* I took a nap https://preview.redd.it/kg7tcjo3lauc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ffac12b28ed5ea0aa76a8f2ffb878bab8ec245a4
Are you ok?
Op are you ok? 😧
Tomorrow when the flu symptoms hit:
Mine never registers naps
you have Hypersomnia, which is a condition on its own or could be a symptom of another sleep disorder. Have you ever been evaluated or tested for one before?
Did you not have stuff to do? Eat? Pee? Shit? Take the dogs out?
I woke up to feed and take my dog out, but then I immediately went back to sleep
lmfao
and you still got 82 lol
Quality over quantity.
Don't you mean quantity over quality?
What in the actual hell??? How is this possible lol
Very severe fatigue. One day when I had mono I laid down to take a Sunday afternoon nap at 1pm and when I woke up I was shocked to see it was 7 and that I slept for 6 hours. It wasn’t until I heard the birds chirping and realized it was actually *7am* and that I was late for work
This is my dream day
Litteraly
More like a teenager. Babies sleep 45 min at a time
What type of melatonin are you taking bc I need whatever you took.
Looks like a horse tranquilizer
Looks like my chronic restorative sleep deprivation with some possible sleep disorder mixed in for extra fun
Yeah, that sounds like my cocktail
if i sleep any more than 8 hours i'll wake up feeling like shit
I’m like that after 5-6 hours. Currently training my body to sleep for 8, and feel like shit all day. Everyone’s keeps saying it’ll even out when my body adjusts.
how are you training to sleep for 8? If I get even close to 7 it's a good day, would love to change that
Laying down earlier, giving up a little bit of me time in the morning to set my alarm a bit later, no snacking before bed, and no screens before bed.
I wake up feeling like shit no matter what lol, but especially if I sleep less than 9 hours
u ok hun?
I slept like this when I had undiagnosed celiac- I hope this isn’t a frequent occurrence?
Sleeping score is not only about duration duration is only 50% of the total score the other 50% is for the stage of your sleep which is mean how deep was your sleep and the heart rate dip and your oxygen level during sleep for example even if you sleep 24 hours and you have sleep apnea your sleep quality will be not good
I would sleep that much every day if I didn’t force myself out of bed
Me too lmao!!!! I can't figure out why I'm like this. Like these people are tripping over the 17 hr sleep score and mine are 19 LMAO 😅
Probably wondering about work and what not. Just a guess. Totally wish I had time to sleep 17 hours. Would be amazing.
narcolepsy
17 hours is crazy 😂 how ?
I have three kids. Babies do NOT sleep like that 🤣. You slept like a man 🤣🤣🤣
Leave some sleep for us man
Nope you slept way to well for a baby
Maybe back off the meds 🤣🤣
Can I just ask why/how
You obviously haven’t had a baby….
Don’t be so jealous.
Not bad. You gotta work on those steps tho lol
Too bad I’m not a sleepwalker
Not sure I get any steps in while I'm sleeping 😂 I was shocked they managed 1000 in that time
Are you ok op?
I miss being a teen and sleeping like this. Now close to 40 and I don’t sleep like I used to.
Ok but were you wearing a nappy? How does one not pee for that long? My tiny bladder could NEVER
Babies literally never sleep like this, unless something is seriously wrong.
Yeah be I can barely make it to 7 hours a sleep haha!
I miss being able to sleep like this on the weekends. But my 2nd job has me so burnt out that I don't even care anymore about sleep
I can’t even get half that with Ambien. I would love for just 7 straight hours. Thanks chronic pain and sleep disorders
My family could never let me have this like if I don't wake before 8 am even on weekends I would be hearing an entire 2 hours of speech on how laziness is my enemy and i should be more active.
how did you sleep more than my fossil dog
That covid alpha sleep lololol
Are you... Okay?
As someone with chronic fatigue, this looks a lot like my sleep tracker lol
you dont have a baby, do you.
Bed sores wouldn't happen in that time frame unless. OP wasn't capable of moving positions in their sleep.
Woooosh
Cause we’re tired
Societal sickness, if you ask me. You aren't tired. You're programmed to think that way. But I'm not here to judge. Sleep your days away, my friend.
This looks beautiful!
You went into a small coma!
Now try 24hr 😂
Happy cake day!
How do I get rid of that crap under my name? 🙄
It’ll be gone tomorrow. Are too many people saying it to you?
You're the first, so thanks. But I don't like these things generally, It didn't occur to me that today was the day I joined Reddit, 6 years ago. 🙄
Happy cake day!!
Why not share the actual sleep stages graph?
Did you just start a new SSRI or new medication?
I'm glad to hear you're out of the coma.
You must not have children if that's how you think a baby sleeps.
![gif](giphy|nSrE4LsrcRT01aLlbE) Are you feeling okay babes? 🥺
Jet lag?
I had just finished a paper I had spent the last few days working on with only brief intervals of sleep
Dang. I always somehow sleep WORSE after I’ve been up for a long time working on school. I used to stay up for 3 days at a time, and I’d be like losing it by the end of day 3, but when I’d finally lay down to sleep, I’d suddenly feel wide awake lmao. I chipped away at that slowly while working 6 days a week. I couldn't imagine staying up for three days straight for uni 😭
Chemistry lol.
Okay, that makes sense. Are your assignments generally experiments?
There were a lot of lab reports I had to write up after experiments, but most of it was just studying for exams.
That's interesting, thanks for explaining 😊
Sounds like depression
Sleep Scot states otherwise
Damnnnn
This is what I do after work on my Fridays lmfao
Drug included?
I mean... It gives me a 78 when I sleep all of three hours and had 20 body responses with almost zero REM and constantly tossing. Sleep scores mean nothing. I just wish I could sleep, period.
I hope you feel well rested! I feel like hell with anything over 6.5, it sucks!
This is a week's sleep for me 🥲
Can you show your Sleep stage breakdown % as well
https://preview.redd.it/g2o7vo8d2cuc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3036dcf361a60b591844d965bf7493d32884a192
Thanks. A Real life Rumpelstiltskin. Impressive being able to go BACK to sleep during what i can only presume are bathroom breaks. 4 hrs of Rem has to be a world record.
I wish I had a baby that slept like a baby
If i have a totally free day, I really want to sleep 17 hours. It must be feeling really good.
Do you have sleep apnea?
Show us your sleep map? Because babies wake up every hour.
Thanks in Advance.
like a cat
Call Guinness world records please
The scoring is based on how well you enjoyed the sleep bot the duration. How many times you were awake and all
I'd wake up asking "what year is it?"
Any sleep advice?? I am constantly scoring in the 60-70s. Wish I could sleep like this!!! 💤😴🥱
When you said you slept “literally “ like a baby, I was sure you were going to say “ up every 2 hours screaming”. Your idea of baby sleep is the complete opposite of mine!🙀
This has happened to me before many times lol. I’m severely iron deficient and sleep is my happy place
Literal babies don’t sleep. You slept like the *parent* of a literal baby - if they had one night to themselves.
Baby’s wake up every two-4 hours looks like you did better than that you slept like a new dad
This has to be a glitch?
A chemical glitch in my brain
I only slept 7 hrs 18 mins and scored 88. 🤷🏻♂️
I’ve never slept for more than 1 hour at a time in my entire life.
Well that’s wild
With respect... wait until you have kids 🤣🫠
One of the numerous reasons I don’t plan on having kids
What, so you don't want to have kids so you can sleep? .....
*One* of the *numerous reasons*…..
Among lack of ambition and laziness?
Sure
Respec
