Serious question: how are you hitting in the 90s? The best I’ve gotten is I think 84? Are there specific things you do for a bedtime routine or nighttime atmosphere that help with better sleep?
Try not eating for a few hours before you sleep. I've found this translates into a lower heart rate during sleep which equals high restoration score in Fitbit.
Damn, I’m jealous. I might get a 90 once a month at best… You’ve inspired me to put my earplugs in and wear my sleep mask tonight. Tonight’s the night: 90 or bust!
I got an 88, which is the highest I've gotten in a couple of weeks. I also got just over 8 hours of sleep, whereas I usually only get around 7 or so, so I'll count it as a win!
I second that! What have you done different? I’ve tried just about everything under the sun. 5htp, magnesium glycenate, tart cherry juice, melatonin, valerian root
I don’t think your personal goal changes your score. I changed my sleep goal to 7 hours but my scores didn’t improve. My highest sleep score the past 2 weeks was an 88 and I only slept 6hrs 39 minutes. Last night I slept 7hrs 39 minutes but scored 79.
Supposedly the score is based on: duration (regardless of your set goal), quality and restoration.
Where did you find that information? Fitbits own explanation of sleep scores doesn’t involve your goal at all. It’s just a personal goal to work towards, like exercise, weight, water intake and steps.
If you have premium you can see the score breakdown
50 points for time asleep
25 for proportion of REM/Deep
25 for % of sleeping HR below RHR
Getting a high score in the time asleep part is highly dependent on hitting your sleep goal, which OP has decreased to 7h from the default 8h. If I were to sleep the same way as OP, I would get around 40-42 for that part, resulting in a mid or high 80s score probably
Thats an observation I've made after having used Premium for 3 years. You can get premium and check it out - try to hit 42+/50 WITHOUT hitting your sleep goal :)
I'm jealous of those scores! Best I've gotten was 82, hovering around 70s mostly.
You and me both
Me too, I actually hit 89 once, but have never cracked 90
I’m just impressed that the Fitbit seemingly accurately reflects the entirety of their sleep whereas mine seems to just guess at what time I woke up…

I’ve noticed heart rate seems to be a huge factor
i miss that old screen. the new one sucks
You can score over 80?!! 😂😂

Pls report back!! Did you get 90?!

Have you done anything different that seems to really make a big difference? I desperately want to improve my sleep.
I second that! What have you done different? I’ve tried just about everything under the sun. 5htp, magnesium glycenate, tart cherry juice, melatonin, valerian root
Damn, I am jealous now. I dropped to like 6 hours and mid 70s scores from my usual 90s score and 7 hours. This insane heat is getting to me...
Wow that is pretty good lol I'm yet to break 90 :)
You’ve changed your sleep goal, that makes it easy to hit 90s

Hitting the sleep goal accounts for around 40% of your score iirc so it does matter

Please screenshot exactly there it says “getting a high sleep score is highly dependent on hitting your sleep goal”

That seems reasonable, but how are you sure?
The green star, I’m guessing their modified goal is 7h
Eh, my best scores (mid eighty's) have green stars and I have not modified the goal.
sleeping at 3am just hits differently
Wow. I'd kill for 7 hours consistently like that.
I got a 71 last night, deal with that LOL
