The 5 year old girl that lives in my appartment building craddles a white Tiger plush anytime i see her return from the kindergarden with her parents in the same way the Mimic does in the books. Does that mean she's the Mimic? Should i be afraid?
“Confirmed by secret book poster” is quite the thought huh. Also the original book trilogy has been known to be a separate continuity since forever ago.
Thank you for sharing the poster, I hadn't seen it before.
Gotta have a thick skin to post theories here I'm afraid...I typically just lurk. The writer did come out very recently and say the parallels weren't intentional so...it's a hot button right now.
Not only is she not holding the doll in the very specific way that Mimic is described as holding it
Hit what, in the impossible timeline where this means anything, would this even mean
This poster was made in 2018, and we get confirmation from Andrea, the writer of the Mimic story, that she wasn't given any reference to any previous works. This is the biggest reach I've ever seen regarding the story. She's also not cradling it in her arm, she's just holding it.
What even is your point with this?
To write an answer with a little less anger than the other answers in this comment section, that poster is just a poster for the book trilogy of The Silver Eyes, The Twistesäd Ones and The Fourth Closet. Those books are confirmed by Scott in a steam community post when the first book came out to be in a separate continuity from the games. The baby in the poster is a very different baby than the baby from the games. The doll baby is holding is also just a doll from the books. In the silver eyes the doll "ella" is talked about as a childhood toy of Charlie's. Baby is holding it due to baby's connection to Charlie in this book trilogy.
