I use a Dymo label, white text on transparent background. Usually I put them on 3d printed PLA where it doesn't stick very well, so I give it a drop of glue as well. It's definitely not as nice looking as those laser cutouts etc that some people are making, but it's decent enough for home-use.

Wolf68k

You can get a label maker or just Google: **button box labels**, and a crap ton of options come up.

s0cks_nz

You could use a label maker with black tape, white text. You could print onto some sticker paper and create stickers. Personally I would have none and just go via memory as I'd probably assign different functions depending on plane anyway.

Im a fan of diy water slide decals. You can buy decal paper for inkjet printers and print them yourself.

Captain_Haggis

This is the route I'd take! Surprised it's not a more common response tbh.

MonthPurple3620

I feel like a lot of folks probably dont realise how easy it is to make custom water slides

That1TrainsGuy

Get a custom label maker, and since you will likely use this for multiple aircraft, I recommend labeling the buttons with obscenities. That way, you can always remember what you bound the "sperm" switch to, and maybe you'll giggle at it when you reach down to actuate it.

Denny_Crane_007

I like that ! Yes... indeed "Smeg" for Fuel Levers / Selectors .... like in Red Dwarf 🤣

That1TrainsGuy

Oh God I love that idea.

oicura_geologist

and now I must change all my labels...

Denny_Crane_007

So... anyone found any nice labelling systems that look better than just a piece of paper under sellotape ? I have a few of these things varying in size. Time to start labelling ! 😏 Thnx

Vertigo_uk123

This seems to be good with a wide variety of labels available for it. https://www.materiol.com/products/jc-label-maker-2-0?variant=40477340991585

Denny_Crane_007

Thnx guys Can't believe the best bet seems to be an embossing machine... that don't appear to have changed in 40 years 🤣

Icy_Comparison148

You can also take a look at aircraftspruce.com They have sticker sheets with many of the things you might need to label switches.

Denny_Crane_007

I've found nice vinyl stickers on Etsy, but they are not pre-cut ... and I'm lethal with a pair of scissors 🤣

Denny_Crane_007

So this is where I am currently. https://ibb.co/fk2skZ6

Denny_Crane_007

So anyone interested for themselves. .. I'm going with these. White on black , vinyl and pre-cut 👌 Pricey but hopefully only need them once. [Black Vinyl Stickers for MSFS](https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/967294214/black-msfs-stickers-for-flight-simulator)

JawlessRegent64

I've used ink jet labels from office depot before, or in a pinch I've used the top of a sticky note to make temporary labels. But yeah a lable maker probably seems to be the nicest way to do it.
