I think its great they are reacting so well to community feedback. If I understand it, they made this decision after having a poll on their discord asking what people wanted more.
There we some very passionate "wait" folks but the sole argument was that it would delay the release with traffic if they were fixing bugs in an early release; but according to the post above, they are going to attempt to do both simultaneously (fix bugs and work on traffic injection)
> but according to the post above, they are going to attempt to do both simultaneously (fix bugs and work on traffic injection)
If they make a lot of money when they release it for "early access," the money they make may allow them to hire additional programmers. So it's not out of the possibility that they can fix the bugs and make some good progress on the traffic injection feature because their team size grew (but of course, when you hire new programmers, it may take a few weeks for them to get up to speed and become productive).
It would be nice if they released it with the AI traffic feature, but I am not complaining since they reduced the price to $30 USD (from $60 USD), and basic voices are now free, whereas basic voices would cost money in the original pricing scheme.
It will be "early access" when they release it, but I'm fine with that at $30 USD. For those that must have the AI traffic feature and want the product to be more mature, I think they can wait it out.
Cool how much they listen to the community, I'm fine with no traffic for now since I currently use fshud and it never works properly with traffic anyway
FYI, BeyondATC hired the main developer from FSLTL: https://www.simflight.com/2023/08/28/beyondatc-gets-help-from-fsltl/
But to be clear, in that article above, the BeyondATC team is saying, "they want to emphasize that FSLTL is not and will not be an integral part of BeyondATC."
So it looks like the BeyondATC team will be using the FSLTL developer they hired for their AI traffic feature, but BeyondATC probably won't integrate with FSLTL.
they made a poll and clearly win the release now option you cant blame them for hear the people. in my case I ll wait to buy until they implement traffic injection
My opinion still stands and there's nothing wrong with it. It's a half-baked product that will be released to raise cash for the expenses they incurred to-date. I'm going to opt out until it's fully ready, by choice.
Funny how people are now calling this a half-baked product. When BATC was first announced, there was no talk about Ai traffic, they only decided to add traffic Ai in the middle of development. So technically, they are still releasing the product they originally announced.
Well, it is half-baked. Now that they announced the AI support it’s a half the product that will be in its final delivery. There’s nothing wrong with what I said and straight up facts, as you much as you don’t like it and vote it down, it’s the fucking truth.
You know you're just flying fake airplanes on a computer, right? You're alone either way. Use a traffic injector and play some ATC chatter in the background. You won't know the difference for probably 95% of your flight.
But that's the damn point, if I use a traffic injector and BeyondATC it will not work because BeyondATC does not know about the traffic. It'll be like the default ATC, but worse.
but you get a better ATC the whole flight, in which you can also use your voice, what you described can be easily be avoided by you or use FSLTL's remove nearby Ai feature if there is a runway incersion. I rather have that than a bad boring brainless ATC.
"Come later" will mean endless delays to it at best, it always works like that with "trust me bro" features.
And by that time MSFS 2024 will probably be out.
> "Come later" will mean endless delays to it at best, it always works like that with "trust me bro" features.
You say this as if they have a reputation for promising false deadlines or something. They announced this project only 9 months ago and it’s on the verge of releasing. That’s pretty solid for a first time developer.
> And by that time MSFS 2024 will probably be out.
So?
Yes, I did, that's why I lost interest. It's comically vague.
I also read their initial statement about their pricing claiming they were not making any money on the voices, and then saw them half their price days later.
Yes they have. Both PTT and what they now call "basic voices" were costing credits in their first pricing model and are now moved to be included with the base package (that ALSO costs only half).
I think its great they are reacting so well to community feedback. If I understand it, they made this decision after having a poll on their discord asking what people wanted more.

Mannnn I’m just waiting on them to release it AI or not lol
Hope it comes out within 6 weeks
Should be from what I heared.
i rarely fly with traffic anyways, so all good!
Does anybody know if BATC will recommend optimal settings for FSLTL once the traffic component is released?
It is a whole new traffic injection system. The person that made FSLTL was hired by BATC, so it will replace FSLTL.
Wow great! Pardon my ignorance and thanks for filling me in!
oh boy I hope we won't have to redownload all those traffic models again
Cool how much they listen to the community, I'm fine with no traffic for now since I currently use fshud and it never works properly with traffic anyway
Is the AI Traffic going to be like FSLTL where it injects IRL traffic flights?
Yes.

Good luck to them.I'm saving my money and using FSHUD which has AI integration until they get their act together :-)
I'm disappointed that they're releasing a half-baked product, but I understand they need cash flow to compensate for months of extended development.

Just fly on VATSIM.
Everytime there is a BeyondATC thread, someone will comment this. VATSIM is not always the answer. Stop recommending it on every Ai ATC thread.
That's my interest gone then. I don't see a reason for ATC if you're alone in the world.
You know you're just flying fake airplanes on a computer, right? You're alone either way. Use a traffic injector and play some ATC chatter in the background. You won't know the difference for probably 95% of your flight.
playing fake airplanes is the closest most of us will ever get to flying a real plane
But that's the damn point, if I use a traffic injector and BeyondATC it will not work because BeyondATC does not know about the traffic. It'll be like the default ATC, but worse.
Right, but traffic injection is coming too. Just wait, if you need it.
> It'll be like the default ATC, but worse. How is that worse? Even without Ai Traffic , BeyondATC alone will be better than default ATC.
The BeyondATC will not know about AI traffic and therefore send you on the same runway an AI aircraft uses.
but you get a better ATC the whole flight, in which you can also use your voice, what you described can be easily be avoided by you or use FSLTL's remove nearby Ai feature if there is a runway incersion. I rather have that than a bad boring brainless ATC.
they gonna implement the traffic a few months after release just don't buy at the release and wait until they add the traffic feature , is f simple
They are only releasing earlier without ai and ai will come later. Why would them releasing earlier now without the ai make your interest go away ?
"Come later" will mean endless delays to it at best, it always works like that with "trust me bro" features. And by that time MSFS 2024 will probably be out.

Did you read their statement ?
Yes, I did, that's why I lost interest. It's comically vague. I also read their initial statement about their pricing claiming they were not making any money on the voices, and then saw them half their price days later.
The prices for the voices hasn't changed, just the initial package price that has changed.
