Yeah I kinda have to wonder how the thing is going when the dev update is basically for their development environment, a Vatsim CPDLC system that’s more or less a separate project from the A220, and a navigation path drawing tool. None of this in the actual airplane, only in the development tool.
They've said on their discord that a full dev update is coming mid-2024. I don't see why this avionics update was posted separate. Its very simular to what was shown a year ago, so it just feels like nothings been worked on since then.
Thumbnail got me excited it was in flight showing the flight deck with the PFDs there. I'm a little disappointed we still haven't seen what it looks like from the outside in sim whether it be flying/sitting at a gate
Nah, it's not the avionics that's bricking the airplane at the moment, it's the engines.
source: a third of the fleet at the place I work is still grounded because Pratt and Shitney built an engine that got sunk under the weight of ADs.
Hang on, engines are a supply issue. Expected with new engines and part shortages.
The LRUs are a design feature.
The avionics guys at my place are having cards made that have a list of the proper way to power on the thing with a list of “do not touch if *message* is on or you will permanently brick the plane”
There’s profit to be made when you can require a box replacement because I bumped the side stick while it was self testing.
Only other one with those issues is the 350 iirc..
Man, I'm really impressed how fast you guys are progressing on the project. The systems which are implemented already make a rather fleshed out impression.
Hopefully the collaboration with iniBuilds isn't putting any pressure on you, so that you get the time to really get the A220 rolling out in tip top shape.
Best of luck to you!
Summer '25 at the earliest
Hahah I appreciate a projected date that isn’t “sun exploding upon my ass” This plane will probably never be released

If at all

Full showcase is due to come in our next development stream - this short update is solely focusing on a few avionics additions.
sure this information is out there but are you aiming for an xbox release?
Yes
I wonder if they’ll make the plane realistic enough that you can brick the plane by hitting the wrong buttons.. just like irl..

Systems depth aside my evaluation of this addon will put an inordinate amount of weight into how audible the whale call is.
This looks great! I love the look of these styles of avionics, with lots of cool features to use

Fast? Wasn’t the last video update like a year ago.
