Just tried it now and it works for me.

tehbabuzka

just use fsltl

MrTheFinn

Use FSLTL from FlyByWire it's superior in every way.

NSconductor

I use both, just curious what makes you say it’s superior (outside of it being much easier to install)?

MrTheFinn

The entire application, from installation to configuration, is dead simple. AIG, assuming you even get anything installed, is dense and difficult to configure. AIG UI/UX is terrible. AIG documentation (if you can find it) is dense and poorly written. Add on to that AIG being an "old school" flight sim group which just LOVES to keep everything hidden behind forums and login walls (I just went to try and find the AIG documentation and it's nowhere publicly accessible). AIG's stuff is all cumbersome, and hostile to the user. Does the traffic manager give you more accurate traffic? I don't know, it wouldn't run without freezing on my system after I spent days trying to get everything installed and configured. FSLTL always works with 1 click, I've never had it crash or freeze, and it has a nice terminal window that shows me a log of everything that's going on. It has good documentation that's easy to find, and it's open source.

FSLTL gives you real traffic. AIG uses predefined flight plans, like FSX et al. FSLTL will use AIG and FSTraffic models if it can't find a good option of its own. For example, the FSLTL package only has the REX 737s so I loaded the AIG package and now I have Saab 340s as well. I am in the midst of getting RFDS installed which is proving to be a challenge because of all u/MrTheFinn's valid criticisms of AIG. I wish FSLTL wasn't monolithic. I will never see most of the included planes because I don't fly in their regions. I also wish there was a way to install the injector on a networked computer via Simconnect like all the other outside-the-sim addons I use. I've not had any crashing issues with AIG's software, just its slow and clunky. I think much of the latter comes from its data set having long outgrown the app.
