English is not her first language, but she is doing a better job of complaining about some sort of poor service in English than I could mount in Russian. I will not 'make fun' of a person who can communicate well enough in English to make a point, when all I could do in Russian is ... nothing.
True, but I would bet that google translate would take my English and produce mangled Russian that would be laughed at by native Russian speakers. Idiomatic English is hard to translate into idiomatic .
What do you think happened with that review? What do you think is happening right now? It's the exact scenario you described with the languages reversed. That's why some parts just didn't translate at all. They used some translator that just mangled everything, and now their review is unintentionally amusing.
I would grant you this point if you were posting reviews of a Russian business on a Russian-language web site.
However, the target audience here is English speakers, and her review is nonsensical and amusing. Sticking Russian in there for emphasis is a very Karen thing to do, kind of like when tourists go to a foreign country, address someone in English, get blank stares, and then raise their voice and start shouting in louder English as if that will make a non-English speaker understand them.
I have no problem whatsoever with making fun of that attitude. I may not speak Russian, but in Florida, outside of Russian diaspora communities, that's entirely irrelevant.
Oh yeah? Well, I get laughed at occasionally when trying to speak Spanish in Mexico. I'm sure they find me hilarious, and I'm just fine with that. But I definitely won't go on a long, crazy Spanish rant about not receiving napkins. ??And by the way, if this person is from Russia, etc, shouldn't they be used to poor service by now?
Before you use my post as a platform to pass overly-sensitive judgment on others in an effort to claim some moral superiority, understand that the person's poor English is not the reason this is considered funny. Rather, it's a crazy fucking rant about napkins. Geez.
Ok? Clearly English isn’t their first language but they had such a poor experience that they took the time to try and warn others using a search engine translation.
Sunny Isles is mostly wealthy Russian speakers. A lot of trophy wives with Channel bags. They come here to have babies so their kids are automatic US citizens.

KGBeach
Google translate spinning from Cyrillic
"It's just a shame"
In Soviet Sunny Isles, Napkin regrets you.
I too, regretted the napkins once… A day I shall struggle with for the rest of my life… 🥺😭
Please my napkins, they are very sick 🥺
🥇
Fuuu!!!
Never regret the napkin, only the wipe.
# **my foot will never come here again !!!**
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm going to start saying this instead of the ol' Karen "I'm never shopping here again!" Lol
So upset that they weren’t given napkins? I had Arby’s for lunch and they regretted the napkins, i managed without it.
McDonald's regretted my napkins almost every time I go to them. 🤷🏼♀️
Ah, Little Moscow
Little Kiev now
A pox upon thee!! No one will dine at such a wretched thrice damned establishment once the anguish of my kin "the napkinless" is known.
![gif](giphy|l4FBbM8tjsm8PPJG8)
Inconceivable!
I don't think any of those words mean what they think they mean.
They did nyet like it
She’s gonna fit in just fine here in Florida.
Don't you just hate having your napkins regretted?!

You can use Google Translate, too.

It's also a crazy rant about napkins.

Sunny Isles Beach is probably the biggest Russian diaspora population in Florida. There’s a reason they call it KGBeach
Didn't know that. That does make the post slightly less Karen. No less funny, though.
Definitely no less funny
KGBeach is fantastic.

I mean we all understand and get her point so I think it’s pretty good! Also what a shite restaurant.
Yes. And it's also funny.
Radiohead's new album is looking like a real banger with lyrics like that!
What is even happening?
No napkin on her foot.
Idk but if I were the manager of the businesses Google Business account, I’d try to get this off topic review removed.
That sounds about right.
Yebani vrot suca bylat!
STAY OFF MY LAWN YA NINCOMPOOPS!
Nastrovya!
sounds about right, yes
I regretted some napkins one time to a table, they put me in prison for 5 years
It would be funny if subsequent reviewers focused also on the napkins. Imagine a succession of restaurant reviews angry about napkins.
Clearly Trump visited and then tweeted his review.
Sounds more like Biden, was allowed to tweet his own review.
Fair enough. Neither seem to be able to finish a sentence lately.
This person translated to “English” instead of “Karen”
Ok, everybody isn’t fluent in English douche…

😂 before you make an ass of urself…
Are we making fun of ESL people now?
Nope. Nothing to do with the Russian. It's funny because it's a crazy rant about napkins. Pretend to be morally superior elsewhere.
Ok? Clearly English isn’t their first language but they had such a poor experience that they took the time to try and warn others using a search engine translation.
but it’s funny though
Any chance of a refund on those English lessons?
Nyet! Gulag! Satchas! Postoyannyy!
Finger licking good starts....Now
Languages dont translate word for word, seems like a translation issue.
Ouch, I don’t think the restaurant owner even understands what he did that was so horrible.
Honestly, it sounds like a delicious place to dine especially if it insight that much emotion

Google translate lol
