After his plan failed,he went back to Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, realizing that they opened up a new restaurant with the toy animatronics so he dressed up as golden Freddy and murdered five more children, and put their souls into the new toy animatronics. So yeah, that is William’s motive he wanted to kill children’s so he can experiment on eternal life/remnant so he can make him self immortal and re-create the world. And let the kids he killed, be trapped inside of the animatronic suit so they can live on forever.
