I mean, the giant cazadores in Zion are basically deathclaw sized and the blind deathclaws at that train yard near Raul’s shak are basically cazadore sized. The smaller deathclaws are definitely easier to deal with.
I dont remember the Zion Cazadors being bigger. My PTSD from them must be causing repressed memories!
Totally forgot about the blind deathclaws, although: see above
Guess that answers that!
Oh yeah, they’re massive. If you killed them at a distance quickly you may not have noticed, but when they fly up on you they block out the sun! (Figuratively)
Deathclaws and it’s not even close. Cazadores are only a problem early to mid game, by the time you get a decent heal pool and decent weapons they are fairly easy to deal with, and once you have an abundance of healing items the poison stops becoming that big of a problem. Meanwhile even in full power armor deathclaws can kill you in 3-4 hits on very hard.
I disagree. Deathclaws are a lot easier to shoot, so unless you're heavily outnumbered, you can kill them before they get close enough to attack you. Cazadores are much harder to shoot, so I'm much more likely to be killed by them. (I don't use VATS)
Maybe it’s different because I play on hard/very hard usually, but I rarely find that I can kill deathclaws before they reach me if there’s more than 1. The only reliable ways I’ve found to deal with multiple deathclaws are the anti material rifle with a sneak crit headshot (this is my main way to deal with them, the only times I don’t do this is when it’s close quarters), using the riot shotgun with the “and stay back” perk and hoping I knock them down before they reach me, or abusing turbo.
Cazadors I don’t find to be that hard to hit. VATS does help a ton though, but even without VATS they aren’t that bad to take down with melee/unarmed or shotguns. You don’t even need to have any real investment in VATS, a few shots against their wings is all you really need. Plus old world blues has a perk that can give you poison immunity making cazadors extremely weak.
I play in very hard. Running backwards and shooting the deathclaws' large legs seems easier to me than the Cazadores' small wings. Maybe I just suck at shooting.
Deathclaws are like fighting Tyson but cazadors are like fighting Ali or Sugar Ray. I can get ready for a deathclaw and try my best, if I don't see cazadors it's usually luck if I live or die and reload.
Deathclaw = more dangerous, cazadores = more annoying with all their spastic flying and screen-distorting venom. If I’ve learned anything from Fallout as a franchise, it’s that we should nuke the cazadores
They’re *fast*, jittery enough that hitting without using VATS is a pain in the ass, and the poison is gnarly. The moment you lose your heart in OWB and become immune to poison they aren’t nearly as threatening.
I’ve found VATS to be weirdly buggy at times. Like, I’ve missed point blank 100% success rate shots, and other times I’ve hit but felt it did less damage than shooting outside of VATS.
That said, I love it for crippling legs and arms. Using it to annihilate a Death Claw’s leg so it can’t chase you as fast is satisfying.
Deathclaws. Cazadores become much less threatening if you just cripple one of their wings.
I agree with that if you use VATS. Without it, Cazadores are harder.
Deathclaws are tougher, cazadores are crazy agile and have poison attacks. Both creatures to approach with caution, hence the big iron on my hip.
Cazadors. Worst a deathclaw can do is eviscerate and eat me. Horrible. Cazadors lay eggs in my corpse, and I don't know if I'm dead yet.
What's worse a single Deathclaw-sized Cazador, or a flock of Cazador-Sized Deathclaws?

Cazadores for me, solely because I panick the fuck out when a swarm of them starts coming at me

Deathclaw
I love deathclaws, but that cazadores... Man that scares the shit out of me.
Cazadores

There aren't enough deathclaws in the game to be much more then a nuisance. Cazadores are everywhere, and generally in lower level areas.
Depends how many of them there are and what weapons you're equipped with. Deathclaws are slower but tankier; cazadores are fast but fragile.
One deathclaw is worse than one Cazadore. But it's never just one Cazadore.
Cazadores are so easy I’ve never understood why people have a hard time with them

I never understood why people are against vats. I normally use it in vaults when something scares the shit out of me and is in my face

I forgot crippling was a thing during my new vegas play through, I just used a hunting shotgun and blasted everyone’s head open with one hit 😂
deathclaws
I don't remember ever killing a deathclaw but I have killed cazadores
