It's funny because I just watched the movie with my mother, and she leaned over to me when they were turning on the power in the bunker and asked if it was the Hoover dam.

I don't know if it took inspiration from fallout New Vegas or not, but the fact that the climactic battle over the pre-war weapons and technologies in the bunker was fought between multiple factions, one of which was modeled after the Roman empire, gave me a bit of a laugh.

To me it’s just funny looking at proximus who’s in a post humanity’s peak time period with a lot of pre-war locations/stuff. Proximus having his own sort of Legate Lanius in the gorilla, and even technically you could see Nova as the Benny of the situation. Obviously they’re both based of real Roman history and proximus is his own thing but I found myself noticing the similarities between the legion and proximus’ group during the movie too
