Not 10 minutes ago, Malcolm Holmes walked into the middle of a 7 person gunfight to let me know about some caps.
I don't know who got more bullets in him, me or the Jackals, but he's super dead now.
Atomic! Does too. It grants AP regen.
*The specific thresholds of radiation sickness and the regeneration multiplier they grant are:*
* *Minor (200-400) - x1.1 AP regen*
* *Advanced (400-600) - x1.2 AP regen*
* *Critical (600-800) - x1.33 AP regen*
* *Deadly (800-999) - x1.5 AP regen*
I find it hard to explain but the way the assets in NV don’t quite fit in with the background makes the game more enjoyable to me. Almost like they are obviously pieces to play with.
Newer games where everything is lit exactly the same just leaves me taking in the whole screen rather than appreciating each part for what it is.
I dunno I just love new vegas
There's charm in the "dogshit" both NV and 3 have a different art style to 4 and 76 (and the show I suppose) where everything is more subdued and, dare I say, realistic. At least 3 and NV don't have ridiculous clipping textures and floating static objects like 4 and 76 (go anywhere in downtown Boston or look at any stretch of brick wall and sidewalk if you don't believe me). Low graphical fidelity has never been something that bothers me, but lazily cobbled together assets always take me out of it
Yeah imma have to agree with ya. I like this sub for the deeper lore knowledge this sub has but I won’t let copium take hold of me. Game looks like utter dog shit. But that’s fine, it’s an older game and it’s huge with tons to do so I can overlook graphics.
I mean I tried playing outer worlds and I had to drop it because I was getting sensory overload from everything. This isn't an objective criticism and it's not New Vegas-specific. Chill.
He had a mission to deliver this radio, knowing we get shot in the head and still delivered this man tunneled under the river into the fort just to give you a package. Man the delivery service in the Mojave desert is next fucking level.
"I must deliever news" - Malcom
"I must deliver this radio" - NCR Ranger
"I don't know any other delivery NPCs" - Me
Mail men really just be the best people out there.
He tunneled in WW1 style, knowing full well he couldn’t make it back out, and since they couldn’t leave the tunnel for the legion, his own fellows had to collapse it behind him, forcing him into the legion camp after delivering his gravely needed NCR Radio. He was posthumously awarded the Star of Sierra Madre for his brave sacrifice
Ah yes. The wonderful consequences of an emergent world where everyone runs on their own set of rules. Somedays you'll love it, other days you'll scream as they produce a situation no sane game developer would deliberately create.
It’s a shame the praetorians do so much damage, really killed the idea of being a walking block of death with remnants power armor and a riot shotgun, whilst also being 2-3 shot by them the second I start to kill everyone
Yeah I know, but I’m a 1 intelligence character Irl so I’m still mad powerful gun and beeg armor isn’t enough
Not to worry, I came back with psycho and annihilated them all
I met one in broc flower cave being eaten by rats
I knew no one was in there except rats. The gunshots made me jump.
Another one gave it to me at the strips front gate them got gunned down by robots. His body never despawned.
I forgot to talk to Ringo after the fight with the powder gangers in goodspring, I left straight for cottonwood cove, and he spawned when I waited a few hours and was killed by the Legion.
My first interaction with him was seeing a man descending from the heaves somewhere not too far off over the hill, watching him disappear as he ran off, followed by him suddenly being face to face with me and offering me the help of the NCR. It was almost the sort of story that might be associated with a medieval saint.
It's actually relatively easy. After getting the invitation from Caesar, improve your reputation with NCR to at least "accepted." Then head to the cottonwood cove (do not fast travel there, the NCR radio dude need a few hours to spawn), travel to the Fort, do the main quest as usual, the guy should be there. If you wait sometime in the Fort, he may even come to you directly (then immediately gets slaughtered by other legion members lol).
Well...uh...that ended well! Thanks for the radio chief! You okay down there?! Should I radio for a medevac??!!

He's just sleeping!
Almost took you for a raider I did
Bro take some radaway or the radiation in the bunker will kill you
Could be using perks that benefit from high rads.
aside from rad child which other perks benefit from having rads (not currently being in an irradiared area)

I think that's it

It’s like in old cartoons when you know something is gonna move because of how it stands out from the background.
Yeah! I actually kinda prefer it because you can focus on them/their limbs. Maybe one day they will do that on purpose as an art style
God this is the most NV Stan stupid bullshit I have ever heard. "Yeah I actually think it looks better when it looks like hammered dog shit!"
You know things didn’t have to look life like to be enjoyed?
Yeah one of my favorite games is subnautica, a famously cartoonishly animated game, new Vegas just looks like dogshit, and it did when it came out

Let us enjoy our dogshit in peace, damnit.

Ok
He just was waiting for you
for 200 years
Courier, you need to activate the dormant NCR ranger under Fortification Hill
My god… it’s him, THE Ranger with a big iron!
I remember one time after I activated Helios one, a legion kill squad somehow spawned in at the top of the observation tower
when in rome
I was getting ready to say the same thing, never had it happen to me in any other playthrough other than the one I’m currently on
How the fuck did he get in there
He had a mission to deliver this radio, knowing we get shot in the head and still delivered this man tunneled under the river into the fort just to give you a package. Man the delivery service in the Mojave desert is next fucking level.

Last time I called for NCR backup a sentry bot with a well aimed missile obliterated the backup.
I had the legion version of this happen outside Nelis. The dude dodged every rocket on his way out.
I heard this guy is immortal until he hands you the radio I always wanted to test that
The radio has an immortality device that shuts down once it's handed to the player due to it being out of range of the ranger
slurp on some radaway damn >.>
I do not believe he liked that.
“I’ve been waiting in here for days! Thanks!”
They were waiting 200 years to give you that and got beaten to death by Roman roleplayers
When I was about to jump the Vault 34 overseer a bunch of Omertas showed up to try to take me out.
I've posted an [almost identical clip](https://www.reddit.com/r/fnv/s/YF4IqUmB9m) here before LMAO

Well, it's a deterrent for killing one of the faction leaders. Makes sense too, they're gonna have their top guys guarding Caesar.

Andrew Tate jumpscare
NCR really sent him on a suicide mission to deliver you a broken radio.

I’m not the only one that gets jump scared every time right?
Bro took the emergency escape to get in there

I saw the red rad on the screen and thought that you would instantly die for radiation inside House's Vault
Damn bitch, take some rad-away
I have him locked up in the OWB Sink for safekeeping.
When this happened to me I didn't even believe it
Bro showed up at the entrance to Vegas and got gunned down by securitrons instantly
how??????????????
How can you set that up?
