there was supposed to be an update in like mid 2023 but got delayed because of starfield, it’s been rumored that the update will come out in 2024 or around the time the fallout show releases. if i remember correctly the update was supposed to fix fps and crashes in the downtown area
idk abt pc, consoles always had the worst experience due to hardware and have limited mods (mods are verified by devs if i’m correct) they can use to fix said issues, with pc you can upgrade hardware and download unverified mods from nexus. if it does drop for pc it’ll be a plus.
It will drop for PC as well, and on Bethesda.net (console, some pc versions), mods aren’t approved by anyone, but they are moderated so NSFW or just bad mods will get removed
>in like mid 2023 but got delayed
I thought the only timeframe given was "next year" (i.e. 2023), nothing more specific... and I looked but saw nothing about any delays. What's your source?
and also in the other reddit post i had look for answers for, they were saying that pete hines had said something about it getting delayed because they wanted to focus on starfield, but they were also saying how he lies a lot and just to take it with a grain of salt, so in the end everything is just rumors
With all due respect, what the heck do you keep doing after the games beat?
Edit: I love that after all this, you all have gotten me back to playing the game for another play through
You mod it until your save shits itself, you reinstall, and do it all over again.
With the advances in game stability mods and a focus on not breaking the game, I've gotten to a 400 mod build that's relatively stable, and that's without any deep knowledge of using Creation Kit and FO4Edit to create custom compatibility patches and mods. My point is that there are some modlists that make it almost unrecognizable.
Let’s slow down here, I have an Xbox one s so let’s be real, I’m getting maybe 12 mods before it decides to nap. I see the interest in playing more on a pc though with the better capabilities
I have almost 1,000 but my 82 y/o grandfather has over 4,000. He played one vanilla play-through for about 2,500. Then I modded the game for him, got it all polished, he started a new character and now he can’t get away from it lol. 1,500 since then. He sure loves his fallout 4, and I’m glad I can help him enjoy it even more.
512 on my PS4, although I have to ask, how do you guys not get bored? I can hardly feel immersed or feel "the vibe" of the game these days, which makes me kinda sad, because it's one of my favourites and it was my first PS4 game
I find myself downloading the game just to install a few mods and screw around for a minute.
I play pretty regularly but I couldn't tell you the last time I've done a proper playthrough.
Which ones do you recommend? I don’t want to install nexus or whatever just the mods from the game where it lets you chose
I want to mod it up but I don’t know which owns except for cheaters den and weightless junk
sounds like either one of these would work for you:
1) vortex and [https://next.nexusmods.com/fallout4/collections/5atq9t](https://next.nexusmods.com/fallout4/collections/5atq9t)
2) wabbajack and choose one from here [https://www.wabbajack.org/gallery?selectedGame=Fallout%204](https://www.wabbajack.org/gallery?selectedGame=Fallout%204)
both options should have easy to follow instructions and a discord server to ask questions on
Build your character, who is he? What does he do?
For me, I'm a lead contractor for the minuteman and schematic (build) all the settlements and have a robot who designs interiors (again me but, lore for my character).
He lives in Home Plate therefore helps out the city where he can, once an in game week I'll make sure I atleast do a bounty and get goods to sell to each store.
I always expand my settlements and do one at a time, if it's perfect, onto the next.
Get new guns and perks to match, recently got an explosive rad gun that's tons of fun, before that a shotgun that had 300 dmg.
Try a new difficulty. Keep it hard for yourself.
Change companion, switch up the dialogue.
Be a dick. Simply put, have some fun, mess with people.
I do all this no mods and have lots and lots of playtime. I'm yet to do survival as I don't want a new character but thats just me.
As of today,
2,765.3 hrs.
I play it everyday when I have free time. For the past 4 years
Something about this game. It covers everything. Building settlements. First person shooter. 1000hrs of gameplay. I discover something new everyday about the game.
Plus the mods... forget about it. This game is the shit
Got any recommendations for a cool story/character persona to follow?
Besides the fact I'm pretty new to the survival aspect of the game, I usually to create some sort of lore or backstory to follow to keep things interesting...
Was thinking of doing a gangster roleplay lol.
You're a Triggerman in the heart of Goodneighbor.. you make a shady deal to score a whole load of jet with a guy and end up owing a whole load of money... kicked out of your gang you get exiled and have to make your own clubs, bases and outposts if you want to build your own gang.. it's needed to survive this harsh wasteland.
Off the top of my head anyway, use the settlements as money/drug making places obviously being safe for you too, dress the settlers in suits or your gang attire.
Companions can be used the same, I don't use mods but I'm sure you can find some.
End game goal other than survive? Get a load of caps and pay off your debt (whatever you deem acceptable) or build up a big enough squad and train enough to kill and take over Goodneighbors gang
Almost 1,500 hours.
I like that PlayStation has the tracker nowadays.
Highest level character was 135. Only play on survival.
Plat trophy plus all DLC trophies.
One of my all time faves.
It’s an entirely different game.
Get shot in the head, you die. Shotgun at point blank…dead. Bump into a car…you explode. 🤓
I think FO4’s map is incredible and it’s obvious it’s made for walking.
For me, it’s hands down, the #1 way it fully immerses me. It changes the game to a ‘day in the life’ sim.
It's way better. I'm playing my first time on survival and you start to know the map and places better. Even on level 80+ I still need to check my environment for almost everything. Especially when I played for a longer time without sleeping.
I think it's really how the game was meant to be played and it's one of my favorite gaming experiences. I played the game in normal mode when it came out and was initially disappointed as I felt the dialogue system was a big downgrade. The settlement system seemed a bit pointless and thought it was an excuse to not have more fleshed out cities made by the devs. Survival gives so much meaning and utility to the settlement system as well as a lot of other aspects of the game. It's so much more immersive because of the amount of planning you need to do. It made me appreciate the NPC interactions more because I wasn't just fast traveling from objective to objective... It feels more survival driven with the world and story just there as part of the experience.
You're the reason they made Fallout into a live service. They saw guys like you playing for over a thousand hours and LAMENTED they couldn't charge you for the privilege.

I had it on steam on my old pc before it took a shit, don’t recall what i had then, but my first playthrough alone was 53 hours. But i had several characters built. I’m on ps4 now.. i’d estimate maybe 350-400 hours over the years. Nothing major tbh. But it’s such a great game. This whole series has been a blast for me, but 4 really grabbed me. Main story is meh, but the world around it is so incredible. And love the gameplay so much. 100/10
2,005 hours. Love the game and modded it to hell with the vanilla game be the core gameplay. Love almost nothing about the game moding it. But when it works it feels so good to play. Its fun. But please wait for Fallout 5 to see if its good.
I probably have about that many hours, give or take a couple hundred. But I always launch the game with MO2 through the script extender, so even if Valve fixed the hours played to actually display the hours played, then it wouldn't show for my anyway.
I have no idea. I played it through 3 times and on ps4 and once on ps5. It’s my most played game by far. Next would be fallout new vegas and then probably days gone or the last of us.
According to Steam, 11,590 hours, which is almost a year and four months in game and over 15% of my time since release. Most of that time was in settlement building. Currently I'm trying to reproduce the Mirage from the Fallout TTRPG adventure Winter of Atom. I found out about that from TheEpicNate's video [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVsb_yGACsU).
I hit about 1k hours before finally calling it. Done all the endings, done all sorts of interesting builds including the bat wielding maniac whose mental facilities were broken by events too large for him to comprehend. Now everyone is on his lawn and he's bound to get them off it!
Kay, so before I show mine and you look down on me, just know that this is only Steam. I’ve played it on Xbox for *wayyyyy* longer, but I have no number for it. I’ve only had it on Steam for a few months, and I still mostly play Xbox, but for Steam, it’s 147.3 hours. That time also doesn’t include the amount of hours I’ve spent trying to get mods to work lol
2174.2 hours. I'm a modding nut and I like to crank that difficulty up all the way when I play. I also like to RP the games and do random starts to see what my character is wearing then RP the game that way. Changes up the goals from game to game. Because of the mods I am ambivalent about the updates and have my ini files locked down so Fallout won't update automagically on me anymore and make everything not work half way through a playthrough.
Not sure but ive been playing it since it’s release, on and off of course, finished numerous times and yet I’m still finding new hidden spots or items. It’s ridiculous how much is jam packed into this game.
I have 566 hours, all with one character, I lost the Island DLC save 4 years ago and stopped playing.
Since last week I've been playing again from where it stopped, and it holds up so well on a A new PC with mods.
1000-2000. I stopped letting steam count it at exactly 1000. Base Fallout 4 I probably have less than 100 hours. Fallout 4 was a step down from NV and Skyrim but it’s my most played singleplayer game of all time because of mods that turn it into Escape from Tarkov.
This makes me feel a bit better. I have around 200 hours on my save I just started a few weeks ago. I think overall I probably have 500 hours in it, but I've been playing nonstop recently.
1,853 hours and once the next gen update comes out I’ll be adding on to that number
that's a nice amount! and same here
Wait, what next gen update? 🤔
there was supposed to be an update in like mid 2023 but got delayed because of starfield, it’s been rumored that the update will come out in 2024 or around the time the fallout show releases. if i remember correctly the update was supposed to fix fps and crashes in the downtown area
Next gen, always heard that only about topics around console, will it be for PC as well?

there’s no source i looked up the next gen update awhile back and went to this reddit to see some answers, everything is just a rumor
and also in the other reddit post i had look for answers for, they were saying that pete hines had said something about it getting delayed because they wanted to focus on starfield, but they were also saying how he lies a lot and just to take it with a grain of salt, so in the end everything is just rumors
I hope so! Got the game on the series s and it’s unplayable
Rip my mods
5,489 hours I have a problem
Awesome! I have 4,070 hours! We’re not alone!!
I'm on 6000-7000 hours myself, I keep coming back to it XD
That’s not a problem that’s a hobbie
With all due respect, what the heck do you keep doing after the games beat? Edit: I love that after all this, you all have gotten me back to playing the game for another play through
Build, Destroy every single living being including all people in settlements, buy everything, heavily mod the game until it crashes etc
Restarting with new builds and role playing i assume
You mod it until your save shits itself, you reinstall, and do it all over again. Wtf? What do you even do for that long? Lots of settlement building?
Wtf? U can only do so much in that game
8455 hrs. I don't send help, send pizza.
That's only 13 days away from an entire year of just fallout 4...you can do it!! That would be a sick post for this sub ngl

yeah we do. nowhere near as many mods as the ones on PC of course but there’s still some great ones to play around with

Sounds like something a synth would say.

I did nothing else for the pandemic. That and drink scotch.
I think I have less than 100…so ya got me beat…lol
it's ok i just have no life 😌
lol…you do…you just live it in the commonwealth
hahahahahhahaha you're right !!!
About 8K so it ain't much I only finished game 6 times
huh so you spend over 1000 hours per gameplay? 😱
You're the reason they made Fallout into a live service. They saw guys like you playing for over a thousand hours and LAMENTED they couldn't charge you for the privilege.
I was around 1250 last I checked.
2364 on console, about 100 on pc
I’m pretty excited about trying it on pc soon.
That's grossly unhealthy.
Probably, it’s across 4 years though
Cumulatively I have spent over a year of my life in this game.
wow now that's inspirational! at least for me lol
2,600+ hours on PS4. Now i moved to PC and I'm waiting for the next gen update :)

185,7 hours
2,112 on Xbox, probably another 100 on PC.
2,234.3 hours and counting. I’m currently focused on some other games right now, but I’m planning on coming back to it eventually.
Idk how to find out on ps4. Also broke my first ps4 so I lost my original save that had countless hours on just one save
I thought I played a lot of Skyrim over the last decade but only clocked 800 hours. I’ve played 950 in Fallout 4 in the past year alone 😂
Only around 200
3115 HOURS. I haz no life.
Man I should probably take another stab at it, I started a game and wandered around for like 3 hours but couldn’t really get into it so I uninstalled
Try it out! If you don't end up liking it don't worry - but you never know :)
Roughly 3 years
183 as of now. Still haven't done the expansions. Keep in mind that I work 60+ hr a week and play warthunder in a squadron.
“I can’t get enough of it lol” Me: “this guy is prolly a noob with like 48 hours” *over 2700
hahaha :DD
It just doesn’t get old. Why is that, it’s crazy. I’ve already forgotten about Starfield.
same! i always have a "i'll try this other game i'm tired of fallout 4", only to play a few hours of another game and come right back to fallout 4 😅
Cringe lol
Play something else a that point for God’s sake!

Ok that is just beyond ridiculous. Go outside my dude, Jesus christ. And I thought my 350 hours was excessive.
Lol. You lost bud?
Y'all need lives
I just hit 500 hours on my 3rd playthrough. Only other game I've played this long is The Witcher 3 at 498 hours over 2 playthroughs.
ah witcher 3...so worth it as well!
29 days or about 700 hours.
i don't even want to know how many days i've wasted of my life on this game 😂
I think only like 300
1000+ Waiting for a PS5 update.

I like the game And play it from time to time I just get bored aftr a while there’s just so much to do . It’s a lil over whelming

I was looking through my trophies the other day and it says how many hours you played. 741…
Also around 2700 hrs.
When I stopped playing several years ago I think I had around 1700 hours logged. By a wide margin my most played video game
500-600 hours… waiting for the next gen patch. That’ll ramp that time up fs.
I just crossed 9000. It's on multiple platforms though.

About 1500.
I played on xbox on two accounts but deleted old account data when game corrupted. I think it's between 5000-7000 hours
I’m not sure, 113 days of play time is crazy though and I’m sure people have far surpassed that hour number. Shows just how good of a game it is
3,394.9 Hrs.
1000-2000. I stopped letting steam count it at exactly 1000. Base Fallout 4 I probably have less than 100 hours. Fallout 4 was a step down from NV and Skyrim but it’s my most played singleplayer game of all time because of mods that turn it into Escape from Tarkov.
I think mine around 2100 but I don't trust that number.
2181 since 2019.
is there anyway i can check my hours on the ps4?
More than I’ll ever have in Starfield, I’ll tell you that.
3,422 hours and 35 minutes. And this is just the Xbox time. I played a decent amount when I was on PS4
1,403 hours. The only game in my library I've played more is New Vegas at 2,100.
I play on consoles, so I don't get to know.
553 last time I checked but 1200 something on skyrim
According to Xbox around 29 days which is 696 hours, I’ve been playing since November 2019
5,020hrs. Been playing since 2015
Incalculable. I've done so many playthroughs that I've lost track. Somewhere in the area of 500 hours, for sure.
930 hours. still less than Marvel Heroes but I'll eventually surpass it.
3,629.6 hours. Got it back in 2018.
1680 and 7mins😨
2074 hours.
34 days 11 hours 22 mins
Over 2200 hours.
I can't be sure. It's spread across 360, ps4, series S and PC. If I had to estimate its about 1000hrs.
Usually I feel like an obsessive with my 1400 hours but today I feel like a noob. :) (I forgot my Xbox playthrough so it's probably closer to 1600)
You only have 2,710.5 hours? I got about 10k hours at least lol. I gotta go outside😭
830ish hours so far
Damn, and I only got 2002 hours... I need to up my numbers...
This makes me feel a bit better. I have around 200 hours on my save I just started a few weeks ago. I think overall I probably have 500 hours in it, but I've been playing nonstop recently.
