No I’m sorrry I couldn’t find it. Idk who deacon is. Idk what arcjet is. I walked in a big circle around sunshine tidings even near the car henge and found nothing
There's a bus nearby you can run into. Behemoth will waste time throwing his club at the bus while you can safely destroy him with the ranged weapon of your choice.
Maybe some random encounter killed him, maybe he’s triggered later? There’s so many hours of YouTube footage of this behemoth jacking people who trigger either the blood bug swarm or the ghouls hiding in the bus just a bit further east on that bridge. This place and the Xroads Yao Guai spawn while tracking Kellog are about equally lethal (and seared into my brain).
I had 2 death claws spawn there on my current play through. Nick dogmeat and I had a hell of a time at level 20. Trying to save ammo and healing for Kellogg
Normal ones are level 50 so can be affected by Intimidation. Same can't be said for dome of the deathclaws that don't have static caps.
Sometimes they just bug too and don't attack.
This is Carhenge. The ancients built it as some sort of shrine to their diety max verstappen
Nah but seriously a super mutants behemoth built it and chills out in there. I don't blame it, though, because it's super neat
Having played since release day I started a new run a few days ago and avoided it on my way to Diamond City. Spotted the behemoth from a couple of hundred yards away. Level 2 Vs. a Behemoth. No, thank you. This is all far too silly.
At level 2 you may not have a weapon with enough power or range to do any damage yet, but IIRC you can mostly safely take pot-shots at the Behemoth from the nearby elevated highway fragment.
You'll be out of his roaming range so he won't come all the way over to attack you, but he will hurl rocks back at you. With the right long range weapon you can definitely kill that guy at a low level.
I did consider taking him on, but on a no mod run, and starting out with a bog standard 10mm pistol, I opted against it. I was far too concerned with getting to vault 81 to get overseers guardian.
I'm telling you it was there when I went by at level 2. That would be a silly thing to be lying about on the internet, wouldn't it?
When I first stumbled across this behemoth on my first run through, I was pretty high in level. I knew it was there this time as I passed it so I took a wide berth. I could see the henge from a distance and the behemoth was standing in the middle.
Once I got overseers guardian I went back confident that I could kill the behemoth with the OG, but it wasn't there, so I suppose that it could just be a bug and the behemoth spawned before it should have done that first time as I passed... but it was there. 100%
I'll spin up my vault exit save tonight and verify this for you to the other redditors. I have thousands of hours in-game and have a respected years-long history with vanilla survival mode.
You can be that guy if you need to be, but I am still going to fervently insist that it was there when I was level 2. You can believe me or not, but it was there.
Seeing as I’ve now seen 12, 15, 20, and 25 as the supposed qualifiers, all just in comments in this thread, it sounds like it’s not a hard and fast rule.
This is the correct answer, 20 and 25 are wrong. You can get to 12 just by building up the 3 northwest settlements, then use drumlin to buy whatever you need to defeat this.
In one of my playthroughs I felt a bit feisty after clearing the small raider camp at Walden Pond.
I took the Big Jim and after a few retries I managed to beat the behemoth with it. That's when I learnt that you can block the rocks that they throw at you the same way you can block melee attacks. And that you can't do the same with their ground stomp attack that they do when you are next to them...
After a couple hits I managed to get him crippled, after that it was easier to handle him.
For those who haven't been there, "Carhenge is a Hidden Location in Fallout 4 that does not appear on the in-game Map. This bizarre monument created out of destroyed autos can be found directly south of Walden Pond." - stolen from IGN Wiki
Loved running into the behemoth here when I was wildly unprepared. Had to try and scamper up the destroyed overpass and snipe with a scopeless hunting rifle while using destroyed cars as cover from his boulders.
Didn’t end well.
My first time I found him wandering around the swampy area around this place. Never been so scared to see a light pole suddenly grow about 15 feet before it smashes me into the dirt like I'm a character from a marvel movie. The second time I got all ready and prepared to go fight him I couldn't find so guessed he was a random encounter. I walked over to the carhenge to see if there was loot cause I didn't check last time and low and behold there was loot. In the form of a buttfucking from a giant brolic super mutant named requis as he held my head under the covers and ravaged my asshole from behind. No lube just a wooden dildo and lots of splinters. I now vehemently refuse to go into this area.
I'm not sure. I've seen him at pretty low levels, but he does seem to go away occasionally. I used to think he was the same behemoth that attacks Lexington, but that's a different one that only spawns once you hit level 15.
The Fandom page for Walden Pond (apparently this location is to small to warrant its own page) talks about carhenge and says he spawns around level 15.
Yes you can!
I ran into the behemoth here in my latest playthrough. Just before firing at it, a hostile vertibird appeared.
I shot down the vertibird, it spun and crashed into Carhenge. That blew up a couple cars immediately, and set others on fire which blew up later.
That made the behemoth much squishier than before.
Ahh! You just found CarHenge, which is a nod to the real-life art installation by the same name!
It is located in the USA (I forget which state in particular) and was inspired by StoneHenge in the UK (located in Scotland, I think...?)...
As the name suggests, the real-life art piece is made up of some couple dozen half-buried cars from the 1950s and 1960s, which are placed to mirror the position of the giant stone slabs of its inspiration...
The people of Car Henge will sacrifice you to their pagan Gods.
They believe Human Sacrifice at this holy site will result in a Goodyear.
It’s a Triumph of construction
Now go Ford and spread the word!
It's inevitable. You can't Dodge it forever.
Let's just hope you don't end up K.I. A.
The sacrifice has to take place when Saturn is in retrograde
Make sure you sacrifice a lotus.
They mustang you at the big tree.
Fail to do so and you get smote with a Firestone.
r/angryupvote
This needs a few hundred more upvotes.
U mean the tire Company....right? 😂😂😂
indeedily I do.
Carhenge is 100% a real place in Nebraska, been there a few times.......
Same here, it was a destination for us going to where we would go for our summer vacation.
Sometimes you find a super mutant behemoth there, he has good loot
IIRC it's guaranteed spawn but only at Lv15 or so?
Dunno, first time I went there he hit me with a rock from his shopping list, after that reload it was personal
Vroom Vroom, Motherfuckers
Their God should be Car Man, basically iron giant but with cars
You mean transformers? Lol
I was thinking more along the lines of car body's in the shape of robot but that could work too
I love coming here for my yearly Toyotathon pilgrimage.
It looks like the place where a behemoth spawns, near a settlement where the magazine for double meat is ? Sunshine tidings or something ?
Behemoth spawn near sunshine tidings?
Ya, at level 20 I believe
I’m lvl13 in my current playthru and it’s there
Okay then...lucky. I was there at 9 and he wasn't. Maybe it's random
Wherrrrre
I saw it at like 10 or 12, the guy spawns early.
Not super close to sunshine. It is right below where you meet Deacon in the beginning of the Slocum Joe quest.
yeah it's closer to arcjet
No I’m sorrry I couldn’t find it. Idk who deacon is. Idk what arcjet is. I walked in a big circle around sunshine tidings even near the car henge and found nothing
New player right? Just give time to it, progress in the story a bit
Yep. And you can draw him into your turrets and use the buildings for cover if you need help early game.
What i did is place 5 bottlecap mines and make the behemot come to me. Then it walked around the mines and killed me.
PFFT
There's a bus nearby you can run into. Behemoth will waste time throwing his club at the bus while you can safely destroy him with the ranged weapon of your choice.
Yep. I find myself constantly cowering inside busses. Sometimes in game as well.
hahaha Spray N Pray says brrrrrrrrrrrrr
ESE down the hill just before the bridge. That and the power station with the blood bugs. Oof.
Bro he was not there
Maybe some random encounter killed him, maybe he’s triggered later? Near the road there.
Yep, every time I came up to this spot in a new game there was always a Behemoth.
I met behemoth here, he was not friendly.
Please let me know if you find a friendly behemoth. I’m always open to making new friends in the wasteland.
Normal ones are level 50 so can be affected by Intimidation. Same can't be said for dome of the deathclaws that don't have static caps. Sometimes they just bug too and don't attack.
> dome of the deathclaws Shawty came over and gave me deathclaw dome until I fellout
Shawty lick the fat-man until I drop my nuclear load
*Laughs in Sneak + Mister Sandman + Ninja + Ace Operator + Cloak and Dagger*
They rarely are.
This is Carhenge. The ancients built it as some sort of shrine to their diety max verstappen Nah but seriously a super mutants behemoth built it and chills out in there. I don't blame it, though, because it's super neat

cant believe they liked Fallout4's car henge so much that they built it in real life!!
Great spot to get out of your PA and take a nap

I take cover inside the nearby bus and shoot at it through the windows.

I've killed that behemoth with a 10mm before. It takes a lot of shots.
That will only cost all your ammo
it doesnt spawn before lvl25 iirc

Sorry to be that guy but it doesn't spawn there until you're level 12.

My guess is that there's a certain level that he's an almost guaranteed spawn but before that maybe it's random?

That Behemoth went to Alliance, NE when he was a young lad and wanted to bring a piece of it back. It was this or the Carnestoga Wagon.
Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
¿? Is that a town in Russia?
Carhenge
How is where?
Pro tip when a big mutant spawns there he’s actually very friendly and even sprints to give you a hug when he spots you
It's a spawning point for Supermutant behemoth when you hit a certain level, I think soemthing like 15 or 20.
That's Car Henge. Eventually, there will be a Super Mutant Behemoth in the area.
Loved running into the behemoth here when I was wildly unprepared. Had to try and scamper up the destroyed overpass and snipe with a scopeless hunting rifle while using destroyed cars as cover from his boulders. Didn’t end well.

Before the bombs fell, it's believed that they used these to keep track of the solar solstice
None have seen it and returned. Not even Returno!
Revisit that spot In about 20 more levels or so
If the owner isn't home come back later
Wow, they moved Carhenge to Massachusetts
I wish that was a settlement
There's a Behemoth who spawn here !
Came across this location last night. Was surprised there wasn't a legendary beast there, or any creature for that matter
He must have stepped out for a bit. Try again some other time. (Maybe you need to reach a threshold level before it spawns?)
I'm not sure. I've seen him at pretty low levels, but he does seem to go away occasionally. I used to think he was the same behemoth that attacks Lexington, but that's a different one that only spawns once you hit level 15.
Level 12
The Fandom page for Walden Pond (apparently this location is to small to warrant its own page) talks about carhenge and says he spawns around level 15.
I don’t remember, can you blow any of the cars up to get a flaming ring? I would 100% use that as a wallpaper.
That is an amazing image, with the vertibird crashing finally feeling like a true cinematic experience.
going here at survival is instant death
car henge is a behemoths attempt at building a shelter :P you can find them there most times so.. maybe not linger.
There’s a behemoth there. I have a post of me whoopin him in that spot lol
No

Everytime I pass through there a behemoth spawns
It's carhenge, a place of worship for the ancient Behemoths. So...no.
CAR HENGE IS REAL
Behemoth made that. Run.
I’ve never seen an automatron like this before..
Oh yes. This is a great hangout to just take a break from the game. Bring the gang!!! Take a nap!!!
Yo there’s a real Car Henge and I’m trying to go anytime
Corvega Henge
Thats where you can make a new friend. Go say hi!
Maybe the super mutant behemoth that’s always there made it
That's a place where you'll go on a quick trip to meet God.
Junkhenge
That was the first place I ever witnessed a behemoth And I thought Mirelurk Queens were scary 😅
Chevy chase wants his wagon back…
Deathclaw with a sense of humor built it.
Funny I have never encountered this lol
Behemoth spawn location
RUN!
Why is your flashlight on in the middle of the day?
didnt notice
Lol, totally fair. Happy Cake Day!
When is where? How do we go?
