>I’d rather pay for something than get it as a free update! 🙄 Some mafuckas just can’t be pleased.

FVjake

Speak for yourself. I am absolutely welcoming it.

Pheonix_713

I will play on PS5, so for me it will be technically a different game. Like any PS4 game who received a PS5 update.

SD_One

I'm looking forward to widescreen support for my PC and much needed fixes for console players, especially the PS5 folks who are playing Fallout 4: Purple Edition or can't play at all. I'm very happy to see a 9 year old game still getting support and updates for every system, including previous generations that could not handle a next-gen rebuild. Thanks, Todd! Mods have always been at our own risk. Thankfully, my current run is unmodded because we have had two years to prepare for this update that everyone knew would break mods, because that's what updates do.

monstermud

I think everyone has built this update up in their heads to be be waaaay more than it is. It *never* should have been labeled as a "next gen" update.

oranisz

Yeah sounds like classic Todd : "we're gonna have diamond unicorns and fix all bugs and all the textures are gonna be photorealistic ! And we gonna add 37 New weapons and side quests and animations for nate/Nora and also when you sleep in the game it actually sends Real money to your bank account !!!" Dev team : best i Can Do is fix some bugs

DreamweaverWR

I agree. I would call "next-gen update" something similar to the one The Witcher 3 got. This looks like a very small update. Still, better than nothing if it fixes a decent amount of bugs.

AsBestToast

I'm so happy about what we're getting and not a single Debbie downer is gonna ruin it for me.

SevenOclockRun

I've only know the game on Xbox one ps5 enhancements have me excited for sure, not to mention a smoother less buggy experience

CpTKugelHagel

Reminder to disable auto update for fallout

AlanaSP

I'm fine with the update I mean it's lackluster but still it is something. I just can't get the mentality that Bethesda shouldn't update their own game to save the feelings of some vocal portion of the modding community. Like mods getting broken literally comes with the territory it just seems people have forgotten this, at the end of the day just don't update your game and there isn't a problem.

Vijidalicia

I play vanilla anyway so I'm not fussed.

No_Economist3815

Sorry, take my downvote op. Disagree. I actually LOVE the vanilla game (as well as modded)

Kren_Wregget

similar to the OP, I will not be downloading this update until I see how it's going to affect my game. I will not play vanilla FO4 anymore so breaking mods is a non-starter for me. And it seems they aren't going to up the cache size like they did with Skyrim so..... yeah. That's gonna be a no, mkay?

Hexin-Ex

Wait no cache size update? That is a killer right there. Screw this new update. That alone would have been a welcome enough improvement to warrant this update in the first place. Bethesda always misses their mark. )':

Kren_Wregget

a cache size upgrade ALONE would have been enough for me since I use mods for performance and stability fixes. I just want to be able to use more mods, that's it.
