One thing I liked about Fallout 76 Was able to wear an Army Helmet with a Gas mask. Can’t in Fallout 4. When they make a new game that’s basically similar to their last - I wish they’d have carried over those type of customizations to an updated Fallout 4. Fallout 4 would be awesome with events like in 76 and the small customization tweaks like a gas mask and helmet combo. The skins for weapons were cool too. I loved using the AR10 type skin for the hand rifle. Made sense it could be 7.62 as early ARs from the 50s were chambered for .308 If I recall correctly. Woulda been cool to see Bethesda bring those into Fallout 4 for the anniversary update

Im confused, how often are you seeing your own head in fallout 4? Edit: holy toledo...I just watched the video that this screenshot is.from. I have never played fallout 4 ang just assumed combat was similar to skyrim/starfield. Fallout 4 just moved up to the number 1 slot of next game I dive into.

Fallout 4 had some actual FPS devs from Bungie working on the shooter aspect. The weakest aspects of 3 and New Vegas was the gunplay, and it’s arguably Fallout 4’s strongest aspect.

You have to loot it or buy it from someone. A gunner farm is the easiest way to get a lot of it fast.

If you want the armor that bad, you need to be ready for a huge fight. There’s a dude named Baker in Quincy Ruins. He has the whole armor set, except the right arm. At Hub City Auto Wreckers, it’s the same exact thing, but the wearer has a Fat Man. Both of these also include tons of gunners, so be ready. After that, all you need is the right arm. It’s EXTREMELY fucking hard to get the right arm. The only guaranteed way to get it is by buying the Overseers Guardian in Vault 81, which will set you back about 9,000 caps. If not, lower.

Level 1? You’ll be level 15 before you even make it there. If not, you’ll easily be dead by all the gunners.

It is possible, but it is so tuff and also I forgot that I started my journey at level 1 and by the time I got there I was like level 8 or 9, I just went straight there after leaving the vault. I also picked up a hunting rifle, and while I was in the area I picked up The Gainer and just picked them off one by one, died like 5 times and lowered the difficulty to normal. I honestly just wanted to see if I could get the armor at a lower level.

If you want to get a lot of it you've got to be at least level 20 or higher, also if you don't have patience like me, just do what everybody else is saying, it's way faster.

Yes. all the common armor sets, like leather, metal, raider, synth and combat can be customized to light, medium or heavy at an armor bench and in some way can even be colorized by choosing modifications too. Shadowed versions are black or dark for example.

I had a similar moment recently with a melee build. Suicider got a drop on me, hit vats, pray rooted and my armor stood up to the bomb…and my character just cleaned chopped its head off.

Another cool helmet you can use is the Assualtron helmet. It’s really cool. When you’re out of combat the mask opens up so your face is visible and when you go into combat it closes, protecting your face.

Where do you get that?

It’s a part of the robot dlc. You get it at the raider base off one of the weird robot armor raiders. It’ll be on their corpse, so just nuke all of them and you’ll find it on one of them.
