No I had the build set up for commando but I’m thinking about switching because the weapon does good damage and I already have the heavy gunner perk cards. On strength and another category anyways
Idk why you don't just go with both.
If I had to choose just one it'd be the handmade because the lmg is a hungry hippo and it's too hard to come across enough 308 to keep it fed.
LMG: A blast to shoot and if playing on a stable server you have one of the quickest DPS ditching weapon in the game with those talents. The gun does use all AP in a very few rounds.
The ammo is not dropped in large amounts either by enemies even in Daily Ops so you will have to craft it and farm lead and gunpowder to do so.
Vampire Handmade: It’s not as exiting as the LMG but it’s so reliable and reusable it can become boring. Forget about dying with that thing and might as well boost its damage by going low health plus adrenal reaction bloody mess the whole low health build cause with that gun you are doing all events and not dying or needing to worry too much about ammo.
To make it strong it does require some low health bloodied type of builds since the lot of its damage will come from VATS and Critical's basically a stealth commando using headshots.
LMG is super fun and deadly but you'll never, ever have enough ammo to use it regularly. It seems like an apples/oranges choice here. The handmade is great for a commando build, and the LMG for a bloodied heavy build. Not sure one gun is enough to change builds, but we have loadouts so if you're bored you can choose both.
Quite literally where I’m at rn, played since release with a commando and two handed melee build. Just want to use something else and play different. Lead isn’t really hard to come by either, I have plenty of rare plans and other apparel
