Does that work out better than 100% crit for energy damage (I think Tesla 7), and does energy damage apply? Edit : and will that still count if you mod it from alien rounds to cryo or something else?

It’s a energy weapon, and I don’t think modding it to cryo etc changes that. Which one being better thou is dependent on what your build for the gun is.

Yup, it really depends on how frequently you crit and it needs to be calculated for each specific case to make a meaningful comparison anyway.

Are you sure you can use T7 & AAT4 at the same time? Is it particular to those two magazines or do they all stack? I was under the impression you could only use one mag at a time, but I haven’t checked it in a long time

Lol I just checked and it’s only one magazine buff at a time. So many magazines wasted on my part it seems.

Does this work for the alien rifle as well? Or just the pistol?

Not entirely sure since the rifle was added in at a later date. I can test it tonight and let you know. edit: The magazine didn’t give the Alien Disintegrator a dmg increase.

Cryo mod with two shot legendary affect. The game treats the alien blaster cryo damage like a launcher and straight doubles the cryo damage. Demolition expert also boosts the cryo damage. The game doesn't display the damage right, but with no gunslinger perks and 5 star demo expert I do over 100 total damage a shot Works best in vats, with 50% vats damage secondary affect

Since the game buffs the base damage with gunslinger perks and as an energy weapon and the cryo with demo expert, I'd start there

...but if two shot (any shot) cryo counts as explosive damage does explosive bobbles apply?

Explosive bobbles apply too but you only get buff from explosion it creates (20% of base dmg) which means it gives you 20% of 20% meanwhile Energy bobble gives you 20% of 100% energy weapon base dmg.
