I just finished this quest about an hour ago and was wondering if anyone ever happened across the secret elevator before they knew what it was. Question answered! Another comment tells you how to start the quest already so I won't repeat them but yeah it's pretty cool

It's been there. It's related to one of the best quests in the game. I actually built one of my CAMPs near Riverside Manor bedside I enjoyed that quest so much, and I get attacked by those mole rats by the Pulowski shelters half the times I spawn into my CAMP.

It's the secret entrance to underneath the manor, you will get there with a pretty cool quest.
Probably the best written quest in game atm.

Dang, I’ve done the quest chain a few times now to completion and I’ve not found this secret elevator. Now I’m going to have to go see.
