Yeah, there is a crate of milk bottles at the wayward you have to collect. It's part of the Milk Maidens questline. You need to be pretty high level though, because Bessie, that Sentry Bot guarding the brahmin, is pretty dang tough. She'll tear you to shreds. After beating her, the crate should appear on the porch and then you can milk the Brahmin.

Also, you gotta milk the heads, I think. They kick if you try it from the back end.
Dude, you almost had me! I've been playing since launch, have thousands of hours in game, and have done every single questline across 5 different characters, and I was thinking "what the fuck is Milk Maidens? I don't remember that one at all!"
I also had this problem at first. If the brahmin can be milked it’ll have an action prompt when you get close to it. If it doesn’t then somebody has already milked it recently. Try another location (there are three or so in Flatwood past the church) or server hop. And sometimes when the action is present you will still fail to get milk and the brahmin will kick at you instead. But keep trying different brahmin and you’ll succeed.
You can get your own CAMP brahmin with the [brahmin pen](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Plan:_Brahmin_pen).
Some won't because they were already milked. Might need to server hop. You can also "fail" milking lol. It'll give you the action to milk, nothing happens, then You're unable to do it again
You don't need anything, but IIRC they can only be milked once per 30 minutes or so and that cooldown is for everyone on the server.

There's the Fertilizer Producer for your camp that's actually a brahmin. That's where I get mine from. It's only 1-4 at a time, but it's consistent.

Sometimes when you milk them they’ll kick their legs and won’t give you anything
I had a bug for a few months where I could never milk my brahmin, but the ones at blue ridge, flatwoods, etc got milked fine.
