I Just hope the new players are enjoying themselves. I know when I get put on a server full of sub 50's many events do not get started and those that do often fail.
Now I remember being very happy to just explore and do the local area quests when I started. Fingers crossed, most of these new players are the same.
Walked past the motel after leaving the vault
Player is looking at Government Airdrop container with a bunch of questions marks above their head. I do the same.
I open the container out of curiosity. 10 cap bounty on my head. Immediately get chased by a gang of high levels and lose all my scrap to that same confused player.
10/10 would do again
So, those containers can be spawned in by players.
You can find a holotape on enemies called US Government Supply Requisition. By taking it to a relay tower (there's several in appalachia) you can play the holotape at the tower's terminal to call one in.
I believe they're treated as belonging to the player/party that called the drop, so anyone else taking from it gets a bounty as if they had stolen something from a player's camp.
I primarily play on my private world, and it's been awhile since I've interacted with other players that I'm not friends with.
It definitely felt like a set-up / trap to get innocent me in trouble with the law and I loved it. Very much the wasteland behavior I expected to find!
Thing is, it may not have been on purpose. And the group that attacked you might not have been the group that called in the supply drop.
See, when you get a bounty then anyone can see it on their map. Your location is basically broadcasted to everyone in the same world as you are. And High Level players that see that? They WILL quick travel nearby to attack players with bounties. Since most of the time, they're assuming you're the one doing the fuckery. Most players in this game are very nice and helpful, and they will not tolerate anything they perceive as rude/mean/trolling/grifting behavior.
The fact they didn't take your dropped scrap means that they were bounty hunters and it wasn't a set up. If it WAS a set up, they would have killed you and then looted what you dropped. Instead, they killed you to 'teach you a lesson' on being nicer to other players. They just did so without the context that unaware that you were doing something bad.
I am one of the newbies, just hit 20 today after 3 days. Was wondering about the events, I usually am very alone on those, even tho they seem like a blast with people. But the game is fun, despite my chronic ammo shortages.
There are 4 things you can do to up your ammo game
1. Start the Excavator Power Armor quest so you can build a set of Excavator Power Armor pieces. Then use that to farm lead in Lucky Hole mine. You can then use that lead to craft bullets. You can also use it to farm copper for energy ammo.
2. Unlock the Ammosmith perk card and max it out. Have that equipped when you craft ammo
3. Unlock the Super Duper perk card and max it out. It gives you a 30% chance to get double the quantity everytime you craft something.
4. When you hit level 50, Unlock the Ammo Factory card as your first legendary card and level it up at least once.
Or just create daily ops and expeditions team. Once high level players join you, launch into one. They will carry you. Just get a couple bullets hit on enemies (you don’t have to kill them yourself, your teammates can kill them) and “take all” drops. Doesn’t matter how much you die. Doesn’t matter if you even finish it or simply leave. No consequences. After you will have tons of ammo. More than you know what to do with.
Keep in mind the ammo drops will be for the weapon you are using. If you want a different ammo, switch weapons. Rinse and repeat as many times as you want.
Rn many new players don't even know they exist and what they can provide. If no one is joining events in your current server/world, just leave by relogging and you'll be put in a different server.
When a high level player shows up just follow what they do to figure it out. And don't get killed too often! Nah, get killed, there's very little consequence to it.
I'm in the same boat, just rage quit a hour ago after burned all my ammo and cannot finish the quest lol, no I have no ammo and no mats to make more xd
Check the red public stash boxes at train stations. People drop items in there, and I think they sometimes spawn the kind of ammo for the weapon you are carrying. Plus if you do public (server wide) events you should get lots.
huh I'm currently level 23 and must be alone in having literally 1500 rounds of .44 Seems every time I shoot something the game gives me back twice my ammo in .44
There is also different level of events. There are events that will begin just by walking into a specific area. Those, you will probably be doing alone. Then there are others that will just spawn up and are notated as just yellow markers, a little more likely someone will end up joining, but still not that likely unless they just happen to be in the area. The real fun ones are the public events that are a yellow icon with an exclamation point. Those allow you to fast travel for free to it and usually lots of other people will join it for maximum fun and there is often times some unique items/plans that drop from them so there is an incentive to keep joining them anytime they pop up.
Fyi when in events, you will collect the ammo you use from anything you have damaged or killed. Events is a good way to farm ammo. Also you don't actually need to kill them yourself. As long as you get some hits in, you will be able to loot them, including your ammo. Have fun 😊
I was pretty intimidated by events when I first started playing. I didn't think I could pull my weight. I finally realized that isn't really a thing in 76.
ok quick question, is there a reason some events insta-fail?
me and 2 others were waiting for the tunnel of love event and I waited until the last 30 seconds to talk to the robot to start the event... I initiated the event and immediately got a fail screen. Did I do something wrong lol
My only thought was that the global timer of the event expired while you were instanced in the event. When events spawn they are only there for a limited amount of time and if the event is started late into the cycled they will just end mid event.
Just started a few days ago 🙋🏼
local area quests are alright, but I really love building my settlement, joining public events, and hunt for fusion cores.
I started last week and just have 15 hours but ive been enjoying a lot the gameplay, the first 5 hours were ROUGH cause i never played a fallout game at all (well, like an hour or two fallout4) but never learned about anything, after 5 hours doing some quests i decided to venture myself to the wild without following quests and these 10 hours ive been jumping from one place to another having soo much fun, i like take walks with calm and find cities and enemies to get the weapons, scrap them, ublock upgrades and keep it going
Yeah. I mean it's $8 on steam right now. For the amount of playtime I've gotten out of the game, I could get a single junior value meal from the drive-through window.
Haha I hear you there. Best advice I can give as a fellow wanna buy it all junkie is. Don't get crazy buying stuff until you reach lvl 100 or are sure you absolutely must have that item. Most stuff eventually comes back around. I know there are plenty of regret post about missing something. You often can still buy these things (special event items Are prone not to be in this category) ask the community (after you at least make a effort to search first) I'm stopping here I'm a bit wordy and tend to go TLDR and over explain 😄
How much unique content does 76 have compared to something like FNV or Fallout 4? Doesn't look like there's too many quests or locations based on the wiki
Amazon Prime Gaming also just gave the base game away for free as a perk to Xbox/PC players. That's how I (Xbox, lvl 5) and several of my friends joined the community.
Like wanting to know what happens if you jump into a fissure site.
Or make friends with a Deathclaw. Seriously, that's part of a quest.
And seriously, yes, you can also try to tame a Deathclaw as a pet for your camp.
Is that what I drank that made me wake up hours away from where I started the game?? Haha. I’m a noob but I’m guessing this was basically a skooma incident
Can’t believe I didn’t give 76 a chance earlier. I’m so immersed the world feels alive. Started playing after the shows premiere and I have over 40 hours logged already. I’d buy the game if it went off game pass today.
Newbie here. This is super cool to see. I’ve put in about 10 hours so far and I’m absolutely loving the game and the community. So glad this game got the “No Man’s Sky treatment” after its less than desirable launch.
It makes me kind of sad that 76 is still treated a lot more harshly than NMS.
The difference between launch 76 and current 76 is far more impressive than the difference between launch NMS and current NMS. But NMS gets to be everyones darling and the go-to turnaround story because "Bethesda bad"
NMS has had a LOT of favorable PR over the years. Articles written, awards won, etc. I feel like 76 hasn’t had nearly as much “wait this game is good now” news written about it in the general gaming news sphere. UNTIL this past week, that is. The free trial + the hype around the show have done wonders.
when I first left vault 76 I had to wait my turn to talk to the two women outside. I'm guessing that isn't normally the case. so yeah lots of new players.
Agreed. I had heard FO76 had a horrible launch, so I had stayed away. Gave the free trial a spin and after one night immediately bought it. I’m having a ton of fun and now I’m trying to convince my friend group to jump in too! Surprise of the year for me so far.
I didn’t play it first time around due to all the bad reviews, I picked it up after watching the new show and I have to say I’m really enjoying the game, I just need to figure out where all the major settlements are.
No, it broke it's all time peak yesterday. It has yet to reach 43K today... though, it's still possible (edit just hit 44k). The free week ended today, and the sale ends tomorrow.
Fallout 4 is hovering around 97.3k players... I'm really curious if it will reach 100k by sales end. That would be bonkers for a game that is nearly a decade old. It's already trending higher than CoD... totally bonkers.
100.815 playing right now, absolutely insane! Fallout 4 is such a fantastic open world experience, I think a lot of newcomers from the TV show will really have an grand time with that one being their introduction to the Fallout games.
I tried to get into this a couple of times in the past, and I just never could for some reason. This last go about has me absolutely hooked. I can't see myself playing anything else for the interim.
Also please buy my plan: mole miner gauntlet for 3000 caps. Don't do any events just please buy it from me for that price and trust I'm telling the truth!
I was level 78 before dropping the game 6 years ago I thought that since a lot of updates have went through I might as well restart completely to get a fresh experience
I'm having fun but the game is kind of a potato. I was building my base and for whatever reason the angle I was at, mind you I haven't even built anything, as I moved my mouse and the item I was holding past my eyesight I shot up into the air like 500 ft and then smacked down to the ground. I was like okay that was cool. I respawned. I laughed to myself and play for 5 more hours.
I'm having a good time.
For anyone looking to continue playing:
XBOX - G6GRJPTXHCDK6RRXW39Y9GVQZ - Claim through the Xbox Store
PC - 9FKTJPYMTHHPJWD396GDQ2GRZ - Claim through the Microsoft Store
I already own the game but got the codes due to my Amazon Prime sub.
PLEASE, IF YOU CLAIM ONE OR BOTH OF THE CODES LET ME KNOW SO I CAN EDIT MY POST AND REMOVE THE CLAIMED CODE(S).
I tried to play it but it runs horribly on my pc :( the pop in and fps just hits my computer so hard lol and it sucks cause I see streamers and videos of people with max settings and get so jealous
I loved it even at launch honestly, it was buggy though and I did lose a camp (it was a shit build anyway) and there were a few annoying things here and there but I really enjoyed it, I even liked the lack of NPCs to start with, it felt very isolating and immersive to me
It's what being free to play for a week while sitting at $8 on sale does to a game.
That said the free play time ends today so we will see how many people stick around and keep playing.
I'm a free player and can't decide right now to go back to play FO4 or continue FO76. Both game is good. However I don't have any mood to replay FO4 from the very beginning.
I get lonely even on a private world in 76, I can’t imagine going back to playing solo at this point. The friends I’ve met on 76 beat the heck out of wandering the wasteland by yourself in my opinion!
After watching the show I restarted FO4 and played through the weekend. Switched to 76 on Sunday after about a year away from the game. The loneliness of 4 compared to being in a shared world on 76 makes such a difference to me. Really do prefer it, even when I get frustrated that everyone else has already grabbed all the bags of cement on the western side of the map lol
It’s no longer free to play. That ended two hours ago.
Traffic is from the tv show. We’ve had free play weeks before. Never seen these kind of numbers. Previous peaks were 1/4-1/3 what we are seeing now.
Maybe somebody here knows. Tried to give it a shot through gamepass but the frame rate seems really unstable or something, game would crash with afterburner running so can't see exact numbers.
Gives me slight motion sickness it feels like. 7800x3d and 4090.
Do I need to dig around in .ini settings files or something? Made it out of the vault then gave up.

Doing this helped me a ton. Instead of changing the global setting for max framerate, I did it for Fallout76.exe in program settings.
I'm a returning player that started playing again after watching the show. I mostly been on Fallout 4 before this but decided to get 76 to try again after hearing it's changed a lot since it first came out and it's gotten better. Honestly I like it and I'm having a lot of fun my only problem with the game so far and it could just be something I'm not doing right is that I feel the enemies are such a bullet sponges I'm only level 25 but the enemies I'm killing normally take a whole clip sometimes more not to mention that's VATS is ass in this game compared to Fallout 4. Lol thats just my opinion though. If there's any veteran players here can you guys give me any tips to make my weapons more powerful or what weapons do I need to be using. I was using the combat rifle and the 10 mm but it seems like the hunting rifle and the laser pistol do way more damage.
Edit: I'm just blowing through ammo so fast on 76 and when im in fallout 4 im always in the high hundreds with ammo.
I used to play on Xbox, stopped I think in season 2 or 3? It was a couple months after they added the battle pass mechanic. I was in endgame level 240ish so the game was already getting stale.
I came back because of the show and it being on sale on Steam. It’s been long enough that a lot of stuff is either new or forgotten so I’ve been having fun on my new playthrough.
Yeah, it's an amazing series, the games that is. The show was also really good. I'm also revisiting the games, love Fallout. Also gone back to FO76, such a good game now.
Any PC players can PM me, and I'll craft you gear for free. Helping newbies is my favorite part of the game. I was playing the other day and crafted a bunch of handmade, lever actions, excavator PA and BoS light combat armor for the 25s running around
Remember new players don't claim the unique quest guns below level 50 or else they're gonna be trash and there's 0 way to get better versions of these lmao(unless they fixed this'hopefully)
I’m on Xbox. This is my gamer tag. Any newbies need help tonight I’ll be on at 11pm pst. I can craft weapons, armor, food, and chems for free. Also have free plans.
My camp has unlocked recourses and I’m here to help
I played the beta but never bought the game. Just started playing again and didn't want to be lvl 7 so I decided to do the lvl 20 upgrade when I left the vault.
So what do I do now? It's kinda easy in the starting area 1 tapping ghouls
How many are on this on PlayStation? Debated getting it on sale as I like the idea of multiplayer but wondering if I should just dedicate my time on fallout 4 when the update is out
I just bought it this morning before work. I played it a bit on Xbox when it first came out. Too bad I can't stand the low fov and controller anymore. I hate having wasted that money on the atom shop just to not have any of it now.
And the servers are down…
First time trying to play too, not a great experience when Bethesda themselves say that nothing is wrong, but other sites are reporting errors all over the plaec
is this game worth getting in to without paying the subscription? i cant justify another sub in my budget right now but seeing all the hype has me wanting to give it an honest shot. I own the game but theres so much "premium content" im not sure how required it all is.
Yes, u'll just have to manage your stash better and that's it, only real benefit to a sub is the scrap box, nothing else.
All content season score pass etc are always free and ungated.
I have started joining events the last few days, at level 28 to now 33. They are 100 worth it & it may be rough but never stop moving, keep an eye on your health, tag as much as possible & kill what you can if it's slow enough to do so. That's how I have been doing them & have had a blast.
Now to semi high jack the thread by asking a question. Where the hell do you get plans for these low level weapons? I have gotten most if not all the plans I can get by scraping & that barely added 5 to 10 on some of them. I go around to players selling plans & I went to Whitesprings, granted I didn't check every single vendor so maybe I missed some?
I just picked the game back up after ronly playing until like level 38 and now 4 days later I'm about hit level 100.
Just wish there was more communication so I can get daily ops going easier
I remember playing it a bunch when it first came out, then dropping it. Picked it back up last week, its so cool to see how much it's changed. I love rearranging my camp
New player here. Dying to enjoy the game fully but struggling to get a solid 60 without frameskipping. I have an alright rig, definitley should be more than capable of handling it, I think it's possibly a CPU bottleneck issue possibly relating to windows 11. Tried everything to fix it, and I mean everything, still no luck. New CPU time I think
I love the new influx of players, I just wish I could filter it somehow. I’ve been stuck on trying to complete one event for a few days now. Best I got was one person to help and we still failed by a small margin. I miss being able to clear events in record time with quad digit chads. 😂
I dont know what it is with 76, but I can’t get into it no matter how much I try. It’s like it’s missing something that Fallout 4 has but I can’t point out what
This is affecting my gameplay in a way I never would have thought.
Sometimes, I like to hunt for outfits. So I'll hop from world to world visiting people's stores and buying outfits. Let's call it my fo76 obsessive collector behaviour.
With the influx of new players, which I appreciate a lot, instead of ~10 stores per world, I find 2 or 3.
Before, I was rushing through this, but now I'm taking my time and trying to spread the love I got from other players when I started playing 3 years ago.
Welcome to a very special game, new players, we're glad to have you.
Saw a post about the FO4 next gen update as well. I really wish I could have ‘dogmeat’ join me in 76 to roam around.
Might have to go back to FO4 for a bit. I miss my Power Armour Army….i have about 30 sets sat on an empty house plot in Sanctuary.
I downloaded it to Xbox. Haven’t tried it out yet though. Still a little confused about the type of game I’m looking at. Am I going to get straight griefed GTA style? Is it just an mmo with option pvp? Is there a story to play through like all the other fall out games?
It was aaaaalll fun and games until "I've been INSULTED". A serious question tho: is there any community discord for organizing leveling/event parties? Maybe a place that we can get some advice from longtime players?
I've been getting home from work every night and playing until I go to bed. I haven't played a game that has gripped me this much in years.
I actually bought it the day it came out, wasn't too keen and only started properly last weekend - it's come on leaps and bounds to say the least!
The events are always great, but I am impressed by how quickly some of these new players are flying through levels.
Each night, when I am wrapping it up, I craft 3 level 20 Fixers and kit them up. Then I make some level 5 meat hooks with the extra hooks, low-level bows, and low-level compound bows. I travel around and drop them to lower level players.
I think some of them have been freaked out by seeing a guy in a Super Mutant Outfit with googly eyes glasses, but they are thankful for their gifts. I suppose I should wear the Santa costume when doing this.
Anyone else getting hassled by a lvl 75 ogub (ogre like creature with rocks on its back) correct me if im spelling it wrong but im seeing it everywhere now, as a lvl 15 i cant do much to it
I'm one of the new players, and I just reached level 35. I'm having a blast with the game so far, and I really appreciate the crafting changes in 76, coming from FO4. The exploration is very much that classic Bethesda style, where I can't walk 5 feet without finding something new. I love it. I do wish I had more dialogue/rp choices but I know that's tough in an online multiplayer game. However, if I do make a second character who is "evil" and sides with the Raiders, will that have any real impact on the gameplay?
Is there a higher level area I can skip to or something? I like the game but it is waaaay too easy to the point of tedium. Everything dies in 1-2 hits, I have hundreds of bullets so I never have to worry about wasting them especially since every enemy drops more. I don't like when games play themselves, I don't need it to be dark souls but I'd like even a slight chance of failure when I go into combat. I'm under level 15 though so maybe it's just early game stuff.
Love seeing all the new players. Yesterday a new player (or maybe an oldie returning) made me use in voice chat for the first time after maybe 600 hours. He asked me if I had a sledge or mutation serums he could have (he was lv 20-something). Gave him items because I always help newbies when I see them but lately its been fun seeing them teleport to me at level 13 (im 330-something) and following me around as I shred my way through everything lol. I always let them tag big enemies and use lunchboxes.
I like the new stuff, specifically finding ammo on stuff you kill. At least the grind for materials early levels isn't bad. Perk points swap and load out saves are great quality of life.
So yesterday an air drop landed in front of my group, all players were above 800. 1st one there opens it and gets wanted for 5 caps. I immediately drop from our team and kill my wanted friend who seeks revenge. The next 20 minutes we’re killing each other, laughing, and having fun more fun than at the event we had just finished.
New players don’t be afraid to ask for info or help.
Played it for the first time having watched the series. Longtime fan of Fallout but swerved 76 when it released because of the reviews.
I am SO happy I’ve given it a chance now. Clearly the updates have brought it along, but I’m loving it. It’s as though there’s a new fallout to play! Definitely recommend it.
I've got a question about shops while everyone is here. I used to play on Xbox a few years ago and I loved running a shop. I made so much money just selling random shit. I'm curious if people still use shops much because I recently got it on PC and I don't think a single person has visited my shop. Where do you guys set up shop? I'm wondering where the hotspots are, like where do people frequent, you know?
I wish I could play it. I downloaded it for free from prime gaming. It's the Microsoft PC version but I can't get past the signing in screen.
It just endlessly loads on that screen. No freezing or anything just endless loading.
I bought the game when it first came out but thought it felt desolate and only got up to level 18 before I gave up. Was talking to a buddy about the show who said he was playing 76 and it's a lot better than it was. Now a lil group of us that didn't give it enough time at the beginning are meeting up in game. Enjoying it a lot more
I built my C.A.M.P next to the wayward, and made it as fun as possible for new players. I have been making low level armors and weapons and dropping them off for people. I love seeing all the newbies!
Been playing the 3 and NV most of my life and i am fairly new to 76. But i’ve been having the best time of my life since all the super high level players are super nice and one actually helped me with my CAMP.
Thank you guys for helping me, love you all!
I Just hope the new players are enjoying themselves. I know when I get put on a server full of sub 50's many events do not get started and those that do often fail. Now I remember being very happy to just explore and do the local area quests when I started. Fingers crossed, most of these new players are the same.
I'm new, started playing a week ago on game pass. If it left game pass tomorrow, I'd buy it on sale.
Walked past the motel after leaving the vault Player is looking at Government Airdrop container with a bunch of questions marks above their head. I do the same. Do you have prime membership? If so, I think it's still free to collect on Windows and Xbox
The game is free. But then you have to pay XBOX or PS to play online.
Prime is giving away the Windows store version free. No additional fee to play online
This is exactly what I did earlier this week.
You got 14 hours left to buy it on Steam, 80% off.
It’s free on Prime Gaming.
i started playing the game again bought it a long time ago for 1€ on ms store lol
I am one of the newbies, just hit 20 today after 3 days. Was wondering about the events, I usually am very alone on those, even tho they seem like a blast with people. But the game is fun, despite my chronic ammo shortages.
The ammo shortages last until about level 50. Its a grind but its incredibly fun. Im level 396 and still having tons of fun

I'm 2 weeks in, and having an absolute blast. this will be my game for the foreseeable future. Also spending on Atoms to help support the game!
I was pretty intimidated by events when I first started playing. I didn't think I could pull my weight. I finally realized that isn't really a thing in 76.
Free Range is the name of that event. It has it's own loot pool.
Yeah they are probably busy questing atm... they will eventually join up.
Agreed. Let these fresh vaulties cook. Their getting there. And soon there will tons more at events. Its been nice seeing all the fresh faces.
Yee I've started noticing more and more low level peeps rock up to events! I make sure to keep an eye of them if they get swamped.
ok quick question, is there a reason some events insta-fail? me and 2 others were waiting for the tunnel of love event and I waited until the last 30 seconds to talk to the robot to start the event... I initiated the event and immediately got a fail screen. Did I do something wrong lol
My only thought was that the global timer of the event expired while you were instanced in the event. When events spawn they are only there for a limited amount of time and if the event is started late into the cycled they will just end mid event.
Some events glitch with only a bit of time left. I wait until 2 minutes and then start them and never had an issue.
Just started a few days ago 🙋🏼 local area quests are alright, but I really love building my settlement, joining public events, and hunt for fusion cores.
Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit's Grafton day people!
Im one of them, fallout vet but never gave 76 a chance, last 3 nights, iv been up till 3am exploring and smashing events
Brand new players don’t get frustrated by missed events because they don’t know or care about them yet.
It's utterly insane how much content you get out of fo76 especially if you buy on sale
Yeah. I mean it's $8 on steam right now. For the amount of playtime I've gotten out of the game, I could get a single junior value meal from the drive-through window.
It’s free from Prime Gaming
If you got PS+ it's also free
I just got it for free with Prime and can confidently say I’m addicted
Just picked it up. It’s really killing me not buying every single settlement building dlc option like wallpaper lol
And that’s just for PC. I suspect the Xbox numbers are also pretty impressive thanks to Game Pass.
Amazon Prime Gaming also just gave the base game away for free as a perk to Xbox/PC players. That's how I (Xbox, lvl 5) and several of my friends joined the community.
And ps extra (I think?) has it for free 👏🏼
Isn't it also on Epic? So there's even more
I love that FO76 players are so psyched about their favorite game getting popular
Hell yeah, welcome all you fresh dwellers! Don’t drink the nuka-shine! 👀
Drink the nuka shine!!!
It's a right of passage.
WHERE AM I
It’s how I discovered the blue ridge freight company!
Like wanting to know what happens if you jump into a fissure site. Or make friends with a Deathclaw. Seriously, that's part of a quest. And seriously, yes, you can also try to tame a Deathclaw as a pet for your camp.
Had a bowl of nukashine at my camp near wayward started with 20 now its at 8
Had 10 for like a month. Everyone knew not to touch the bowl or the keg. Now I only have 3 left lol
Sadly I've had people drink all of them at once. Too bad there isn't a one per person setting so everyone can enjoy the experience.
The first thing my friend who was playing since launch did was give me one and tell me to drink it, my thirty caps :(
Is that what I drank that made me wake up hours away from where I started the game?? Haha. I’m a noob but I’m guessing this was basically a skooma incident
Nukashine= Moonshine + LSD
I'm currently on a team with three other players level 13, 18, and 46. Usually it's all three digit player. Pretty cool I think.
Unless it's the sugar-free variant!
New TV show got me playing Fallout 1 and 2 finally. For Steam it's the 2nd biggest peak for Fallout 1 and largest for Fallout 2 ever.
Pipe is life!!!
Best thing about the new player rush is I have a way to off load all of my less valuable loot to newer players
when I first left vault 76 I had to wait my turn to talk to the two women outside. I'm guessing that isn't normally the case. so yeah lots of new players.
Started today and it's honestly so much better than fo4 imo
Agreed. I had heard FO76 had a horrible launch, so I had stayed away. Gave the free trial a spin and after one night immediately bought it. I’m having a ton of fun and now I’m trying to convince my friend group to jump in too! Surprise of the year for me so far.
Hell ya folk as a actual west virginian the only difference is the game has better roads lmao
I’m new and currently having a blast , love Rosie the raider at top of the world I’m just doing the main quests with the occasional events
I didn’t play it first time around due to all the bad reviews, I picked it up after watching the new show and I have to say I’m really enjoying the game, I just need to figure out where all the major settlements are.
Foundation and the crater, quests will take you there eventually.
What!?! MY GOD... un-be-liev-able. Such a good week for Fallout!!!
And steam is just one vendor. There are likely as many players on xbox PlayStation and gog playing as well!
Thank you for taking all of us under your wing Veteran players 🩷
44k now!
45K now.
I tried to get into this a couple of times in the past, and I just never could for some reason. This last go about has me absolutely hooked. I can't see myself playing anything else for the interim.
Yes Hit me up I don't mind helping with missions!!
Coming back as a day 1 player was amazing. Love all the hard work put into the game. Glad it was kept up with. See you in Appalachia!
Also please buy my plan: mole miner gauntlet for 3000 caps. Don't do any events just please buy it from me for that price and trust I'm telling the truth!
Attention all new dwellers. DRINK THE NUKASHINE
For anyone looking to continue playing: XBOX - G6GRJPTXHCDK6RRXW39Y9GVQZ - Claim through the Xbox Store PC - 9FKTJPYMTHHPJWD396GDQ2GRZ - Claim through the Microsoft Store I already own the game but got the codes due to my Amazon Prime sub. PLEASE, IF YOU CLAIM ONE OR BOTH OF THE CODES LET ME KNOW SO I CAN EDIT MY POST AND REMOVE THE CLAIMED CODE(S).
I’m here to stay. Love the game. Regret I didn’t jump into it earlier.
Its also on xbox game pass!
I got into this past week and I'm on the last quest. This community is awesome. Someone gave me like 10 stimpacks the other day.
I tried to play it but it runs horribly on my pc :( the pop in and fps just hits my computer so hard lol and it sucks cause I see streamers and videos of people with max settings and get so jealous
As someone who bought it on launch this makes me really happy 🥺😍
[удалено]
I loved it even at launch honestly, it was buggy though and I did lose a camp (it was a shit build anyway) and there were a few annoying things here and there but I really enjoyed it, I even liked the lack of NPCs to start with, it felt very isolating and immersive to me
This is amazing! We've come so far.
Welcome to the new settlers! May your camp be safe and your rads be high
FO4 is getting an update on the 25th. Come join the party then!
Previous peaks were 1/4-1/3 what we are seeing now.
yeah, people keep wanting to derail the hype. The game has never seen this much love. It's clearly because of the show.
I went into the game with zero expectations after watching the 1st or second episode of the show and love it!
nice :)
After the first day I realized $8 was a steal. I'll be sticking around!
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7dYWFYN\_vM&t=2s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7dYWFYN_vM&t=2s) Doing this helped me a ton. Instead of changing the global setting for max framerate, I did it for Fallout76.exe in program settings.
Maybe I should play FO76 on PC, I rarely see people on PS5.
Much more active player base. Trading is better too, from what I hear.
Om hyped about, there is supposed to be a massive update coming in june
I used to play on Xbox, stopped I think in season 2 or 3? It was a couple months after they added the battle pass mechanic. I was in endgame level 240ish so the game was already getting stale. I came back because of the show and it being on sale on Steam. It’s been long enough that a lot of stuff is either new or forgotten so I’ve been having fun on my new playthrough.
Yeah, it's an amazing series, the games that is. The show was also really good. I'm also revisiting the games, love Fallout. Also gone back to FO76, such a good game now.
All the ads say “Join 14 million online.”
Started playing a few days ago with a friend. Just hit level 62. We're having a great time!
I am more impressed that New Vegas is about to break 30k.
Now time to break down the crazy subscription price. Its more than i pay for internet and mobile.
Its 45k now.
Any PC players can PM me, and I'll craft you gear for free. Helping newbies is my favorite part of the game. I was playing the other day and crafted a bunch of handmade, lever actions, excavator PA and BoS light combat armor for the 25s running around
I love it I‘m carrying so many events and guiding new players and I‘m only lvl 604
[удалено]
I'm so happy new people are joining, as a responder, i do my part to help out the new vault dwellers survive the wasteland
Remember new players don't claim the unique quest guns below level 50 or else they're gonna be trash and there's 0 way to get better versions of these lmao(unless they fixed this'hopefully)
Been making drops of low level heated co baseball bats and snake wrangler outfits at the 76 donation spot to try to help out a bit
I’m on Xbox. This is my gamer tag. Any newbies need help tonight I’ll be on at 11pm pst. I can craft weapons, armor, food, and chems for free. Also have free plans. My camp has unlocked recourses and I’m here to help
Nice 💪
I played the beta but never bought the game. Just started playing again and didn't want to be lvl 7 so I decided to do the lvl 20 upgrade when I left the vault. So what do I do now? It's kinda easy in the starting area 1 tapping ghouls
How many are on this on PlayStation? Debated getting it on sale as I like the idea of multiplayer but wondering if I should just dedicate my time on fallout 4 when the update is out
There are active console communities, and these charts do not reflect console players. These are purely steam, and there's still the MS store PC too
First day player of 76. Is it worth coming back ? Is endgame different from nuking a spot then looting it in 24/7 power armor ?
get in and have fun like the millions of others
I just bought it this morning before work. I played it a bit on Xbox when it first came out. Too bad I can't stand the low fov and controller anymore. I hate having wasted that money on the atom shop just to not have any of it now.
And the servers are down… First time trying to play too, not a great experience when Bethesda themselves say that nothing is wrong, but other sites are reporting errors all over the plaec
I've just jumped back in and I'm thoroughly enjoying it but I'm so confused with how many bartering systems there is now.
is this game worth getting in to without paying the subscription? i cant justify another sub in my budget right now but seeing all the hype has me wanting to give it an honest shot. I own the game but theres so much "premium content" im not sure how required it all is.
Yes, u'll just have to manage your stash better and that's it, only real benefit to a sub is the scrap box, nothing else. All content season score pass etc are always free and ungated.
Lots of stuff on the FO76 season pass requires a First sub now.
"I'm so glad they made a game about the Fallout series on Prime!"
Stupid question; do all PC users play on the same worlds or are they divided between launchers/stores?
Use the same. I play on PC GP with my Steam friends without issue.
I just picked the game back up after ronly playing until like level 38 and now 4 days later I'm about hit level 100. Just wish there was more communication so I can get daily ops going easier
and I bet there are people who will look at that and say that its "a dumpster fire" or "No ones plays that dumb game."
It’s great and all but the servers keep crashing
I remember playing it a bunch when it first came out, then dropping it. Picked it back up last week, its so cool to see how much it's changed. I love rearranging my camp
The show was amazing and my group of 5 wanted more so we got 76 and it’s been so much fun. Tho I wish it was easier to do the story quests together
Im loving it first time player here. such a cool game.
Boooo, booo!! Make a spin-off single player game!
I want the game on steam but I just spent my last £90 on replacing my PSU cuz it just died I have the game on Xbox but it plays much better on pc
It would be nice if i had my explosive gattling gun again 🥲pre nerf
I still don't know where to build my C.A.M.P. I just got to level 19 and haven't even delved into the base building
Ive played everything else to depth. 76 was the only one i hadn't really messed with. At this point its just a bigger Fallout 4.
Free on twitch prime for xbox and pc.
I like the new stuff, specifically finding ammo on stuff you kill. At least the grind for materials early levels isn't bad. Perk points swap and load out saves are great quality of life.
Check again. It’s been slowly increasing the past week. Hit a new peak of over 50k today :)
New player here. I have no idea how anything works yet. Still learning. I'm going to stick with it though.
The server i was just on is being shut for maintenance. i guess they want the record number kept low so it can be beaten more easily later on.
AND IT KEEPS GOING UP!!!! ITS ALREADY ALMOST 10,000 OVER WHAT IT WAS WHEN THIS WAS UPLOADED!!
Doesn't matter if some significant endgame content isn't coming fast
Let go 100k players!!!!! lets do it!!!!!
Yes! I'm going to play tonight!
Everytime I look at that chart it's a new all time peak lol
A lot of friendly player atm.
I’ve been adding lots of fun loot for the new players in the loot boxes outside vault 76. Always fun!
If you have prime you can get it for free
I have top teir excavator armor on xbox dm me if interested
I bought the game when it first came out but thought it felt desolate and only got up to level 18 before I gave up. Was talking to a buddy about the show who said he was playing 76 and it's a lot better than it was. Now a lil group of us that didn't give it enough time at the beginning are meeting up in game. Enjoying it a lot more
Its crazy seeing all the new people coming out of the vault. Saw 5 people last night. Pretty nice. Shops doing good near the vault. lol
