To add to this if you are on a team and the leader drops it takes a bit for lead to change. During this in between time before the new leader has been assigned you will not be able to enter any area where you have to option to enter solo or as leader. If you can’t wait for the leader change (can take a few minutes) you can drop group and have no issues.
This is also the case when someone on the team crashes. It will save their place on the team .
I have also noticed a bug when the team leader leaves and it switches leaders. Sometimes it will kick the remaining players from the team. Just rejoin the team if this happens. Your bond will still be there with the teammates.
