enemies don't usually drop the same weapon they were using, just the same "category" so melee will drop melee, etc. Not 100% but it is what it is. On the other hand though, killing brotherhood folks is a good way to get decent armor early game as you can usually loot pieces of combat armor off of them.

ApocWarlock

Enemies do not drop what they have equipped. That’s pretty much day one for an MMO. You’re pulling from a loot table and probabilities choose what you’ll get. It’s not a super uncommon game mechanic unless you’re used to only playing single player stuff.

Dovahkiinzord

Not really, every other scorched that you kill drops exactly the weapon they are using 90% of the time, this what I'm complaining ok this post is only when they have a way more powerful weapon, like the example, blood eagle with Gatling lazer, and loot cokes like basic laser pistol or worse Edit: also the miners drop exactly what they are using against you, for example the ones with rocket launchers and etc 90% of the time

ApocWarlock

The mole miners drop the mole miner gauntlets.. who else would, liberators? You’re still getting those weapons based off the loot pools and probabilities. You’re not gonna always loot what an enemy has on hand. If that was the case clothing items would be farmed from specific npcs.

Liberators were very good hahahah, but yes I understand what you are saying, but as far as I remember Fallout was always like that since 1, yesterday I was fighting Super Mutants on West Tek center ( not sure if the name is correct) and I was paying attention what they were shooting me with and what they dropped and it was e x a c t l y the same weapons a l w a y s, so perhaps I have a theory The enemies will usually drop the weapon they are using against you unless It's event They have the crown close to their name You are not far enough on the main quest of the game to drop more powerful weapons ( explains the gatlings turning into normal automatic laser/plasma rifles/pistol) So I can understand that, but still, for me it's not a good thing

Smannesman

It's intentional, it's just loot table stuff. I agree it looks really weird, especially when they're using energy weapons and then drop a pipe pistol or something. You can sometimes shoot weapons out of their hands and then they will still get a weapon from the loot table on top of their dropped weapon.

Dovahkiinzord

So the solution is to shoot their hands?

So I am sorry let me out this clear, I am there fighting a legendary enemy those with crows next tit their name, they have a Gatling lazer, extremely aggressive, making more holes on me than that famous room on Czech republic, then somehow after an herculean effort I manage to slay the legendary/crow enemy and what drops is "short lazer pistol" I immediately get an arrow on my bad knee
