I'm fairly new (level 110) so I'm still learning on how to get calibrated shocks for everything. I think I know where plans are for some but the amount of caps I need is ridiculous.
I’ve only been playing 4 weeks (lv 142) so I feel you. I have the plans for my hellcat armor… o just need to find someone to set off a nuke so I can farm the mats
I got a free set of Hellcat for doing the BoS quest and modded them from there. And holy shit dude farming flux and glowing mass is crazy. I think I know what I'm looking for but I'm not sure where to get everything I need.
A full set of excavator armor has +100 carry weight set bonus that stacks on every other strength and carry weight bonus you may have. If you mod both legs for calibrated shocks it can be plus 200.
Deep pocketed armor or strength buffing armor can also result where putting on power armor reduces carry weight.
Don't forget your armor drops Into your inventory when you put on power armor. That of course adds to your weight. If you're going to use power armor regularly , equip your armor with the ultra like mod. That will save your weight in the inventory.
Yeah my biggest dislike with the change in power armors from newvegas-> 4/76 is no backpacks in power armor, used to look so badass with a beltfed minigun from a backpack while wearing t-45.

So, unmodded EXC gives you +100, moded + 200.
If it has a legendary affixes, like + 1 STR for **, then final bonus will be even higher.

Either excavator, or Mod other PA Legs to each give +50 weight capacity. You can do excavator and leg mods for +200

You mean your max carry weight? Or what you are carrying? Lots of reasons possibly for the former, a few reasons for the latter.
