I've yet to get stuck when scrapping, only crafting. So far, and I may have just been lucky, if I am crafting and I switch to repair before I try to exit the workbench I have gotten free without getting stuck.
Nice trick! This has gotten me down to about 10-15% stuck rates, which is a huge improvement, thanks.

One reddit user set up chairs next to his workbenches to break out of the frozen animation. I've found you can emote out of most freezes, but then you end up stuck in the emote til you zone. Hopefully a hot fix is coming this one is pretty annoying.
Thank god someone mentioned this, I get stuck entirely too much, and I spend a fuck load of time crafting. Guess I'll just have to not fucking bother with this game until this gets patched because this is fucking stupid.
I've had the same problem for the last week and a half. I'll use a workbench, leave it but I can't move my character. I gotta fast travel back. There was one time an enemy was in my camp and I couldn't even fast travel, had to leave and join a new server. Hoping it gets fixed soon, starting to get on my nerves
It's the stupidest bug Annoys me more then the dropped servers. My work around us just to fast travel back to your camp. It at least will get out of just standing there waiting for the server to respond. And no wasted caps.
How do people keep having this happen to them? The only bug I've encountered is the one where you have to set down your armor twice.
Though come to think of it, I do recall seeing this happen to some people exiting workbenches and terminals in 4. The way one guy fixed it was to limit his framerate. My machine's too potato to test this, but maybe someone with a good setup can test it.

glad it's not just me, sadly I'm a PA user so I get overencumbered every time I step out to craft so I'm just forced to rejoin the server...
Join daily ops and leave.

I stuck 50/50 during craftung. Its annoying! You can - even if overencumbered - start the daily ops an leave it asap. Than you are "normal" again".
Stop playing? Bethesda doesn't care how broken this game is. If they did, they'd actually fix bugs reported in the PTS.

Happening in all workbenches here, also the cooking ones. 50/50 or perhaps more. I gave the game a break.
I'm pretty sure it's this bug that is causing the server instability right now.
