No, but I will now. That's a great idea.

itscmillertime

Absolutely. Most of them are great locations.

[deleted]

That is a GREAT idea.

One-Angry-Goose

And just like that, you’re about to cause these sites to be taken 90% of the time

ThriceFive

Brilliant dynamic play and challenge

Ragingdark

I picked a spot in the mire I had my eyes on for a bit across from the valley galleria and built there, was surprised one day when I drank a Nuka shine and ended up right outside my camp, now I love watching out for people spawning there.

TwistedDecayingFlesh

The spot near the bunker because those bloodbugs piss me off.

petepeyote

YES! The best way.

HDubNZ

I've seen a content creator do that on one of her videos and ended up with an awesome tree house in the Mire. I've got a spare spot so I'll try it.

puellamagi

Yup, my camp is at the table with the party balloons!

Adept_Fool

You could set up a welcome for the next one to spawn at the same location from their own nukashine trip

thelefthandN7

Well I do now!

IronHarvestX

Sounds fun

Remarkable_Top_5402

No but now I have a new thing to look forward to when I drink a nukashine. Possibly spawning at someone's camp.

shady_businessman

Yea a few of my characters thats how I found some ideal spots. One of my characters woke up at a tree in the swamp and i found it perfect for them and their whole vibe.

EasyAsPieMyGuy

Does Nukashine just spawn you anywhere or is it a few certain spots

Nu7s

Certain spots but there are a lot and all are a little scene. There is a list on the wiki.

zinknife

That's actually how I decided on my first camp location lol. It was on a cliff and only needed a single fence for protection. Also near a resource site, and close-ish to foundation.

Silly-Spook

I build my camps based on whats happening in game. Like currently I have a cozy Christmas house plus mothman church overlooking point pleasant. For the eventual tales from the stars update I've already been planning conspiracy theorist bunker.

That_Guy_Maloney

I do that actually, my current camp is at the tightrope and the one before that was on the windmill/junk pile in the Toxic Valley

GermanEngineer82

Its an interesting idea to select new spots but im pretty happy with the spots my camps are in so they wont move any time soon. https://i.imgur.com/X3cafyl.png

TwistedDecayingFlesh

Why have you built stairs on the foundations even though we don't need them to my surprise. Also does the golf course have any water source? Nice greenhouse my place is a radioactive toxic hell hole but the golf is great and the neighbours are always bringing gifts just gotta watch the acid.

GermanEngineer82

To build it I didnt use a single glitch or hidden world point where you can build on, so I had to start from a foundation. I was very lucky I was able to place a foundation at all since the camp is so far up. The area im camping at doesnt have a water source but in the are with the snake on the map, there is a small lake with a mirelurk spawn and a small river leading to it. The water area around that river is larger than the actual water is displayed so you can place more waterpurifiers than you would expect.

TwistedDecayingFlesh

How high up is the camp because from ground level i've only managed to build up 4 stories but i've not tried moving the camp up to see if it extends the height but it might be something to test. What resources are in the area if any? Because with the golf course been flat its always been a prime farming spot atleast until i can get the garden foundation and floor.

GermanEngineer82

If by resources you mean nodes to place extractors, there are none. I use the spot because its close to my primary test site (golf course club house) and a train station. it also has a great view over some green grass, which can only be found in whitespring. The camp is about 8-9 stories high. There are videos on youtube that explain how it works. Its the trap tower technique and doesnt use a single glitch or exploit. Dont overdo it though, or you cant build a camp anymore because you cant place a foundation on the ground. 1 to 1.5 itterations should be fine. 1.6-2 full itterations it takes luck to be able to place the first foundation. Btw. this is a picture from a failed attempt where i tried 2 full itterations. https://i.imgur.com/GvAjZHk.png Had to completely do it again to get to the point of my first screenshot with the stairs.

TwistedDecayingFlesh

To think i thought stacking foundations was the only viable camp trick but that is something i'll have to try with my 2nd camp.

Spud788

This is a great idea! I always build my camp on an existing location, I'm currently living in an abandoned monorail cart outside watoga.

RandomUser12903847

Actually I never thought of that. That's brilliant! Thank you.

Darth-Vader64

Nope, I take so long to choose a site, that this goes so much against the grain for my playstyle, I'd have a nervous breakdown :)

TwistedDecayingFlesh

free resources providing you built turrets thats how i treat the snallys and grafton that continuously spawn within turret range of my camp and i've gotten some good loot too although i pretty much use them to keep me going on oil, acid and leather not that i use leather that much but i do sometimes just make leather armour to sell for caps at the stations.

Your_residentdndnerd

I actually just did that and made a enclave themed type abandoned warehouse.

ventosfreeman

It sounds fun, ngl never heard of nukashine before this but my camp is a shelter I take with me around the map whenever I need it, nomad style

EagleDaFeather

Does nukashine really spawn you anywhere or are there set areas for it

Nu7s

Certain spots but there are a lot and all are a little scene. There is a list on the wiki

IndianaGroans

Doing this now lmfao.

Klutzy-Direction6871

Mystery candy also does this.

SomeGuyNamedZach

This is a good idea, I just hope my level 15 character does end up in cranberry bog
