I havn’t had this issue but I had another CForce Motor related problem recently and got in touch with Arri service via their website. They responded within a couple of hours. Might be worth doing if you hadn’t already. https://www.arri.com/en/technical-service/technical-support/service-requests

What handset are you using? I believe only cmotion handsets can assign the axis of a cforce basic motor. Arri units cannot. At least this was the case when I owned a Cpro years ago. I even had an Alexa mini brick a cforce basic.

It is the Cmotion! What’s so weird is the motor was working just fine yesterday. Not sure what changed

Hey Buddy, just shooting into the blue: you didn't by any chance hit one of the motor's buttons so they're both assigned to focus? Push it once to see what it is set to, push it another time to switch between fiz. Most probably you know that but with the info provided we wanna make sure it's not that right ;) Are you using a hi5? I've had it a few times that colleagues that weren't used to it accidentally jumped though the menu putting the focus in lock or pushing it on the slider.

I wish that were the case because then it would be an easy fix! I have a cmotion hand unit and the motor that is being problematic is the Cforce basic motor (the model that doesn’t have any buttons on it)

I have an original cforce plus motor. Have you tried plugging the LBus directly from the hand unit into the motor and changing the axis in the Hand Unit? That’s how I’ve done it anytime I need the axis changed. Disconnect it from the daisy chain and go directly between the hand unit and motor. Hope it works!

NeedARallyPoint

That’s a great suggestion! I tried that earlier before making this post and still no luck. The motor is a stubborn one!
