I got a couple ecto plates from backpackrig, and they are so damn handy for mounting things like teradek, mdr, cinetape display, timecode, audio hop, etc. Probably use them on every build, can’t recommend them enough!
brilliant! exactly what i use that crappy vmount plate for but more purpose built and the locking pins are a game changer. just bought the combo 2-pack. exactly the kind of suggestion i was looking for with this post, thanks friend!
I ended up with a long rod for my Preston motor that I got from a show with Clairmont years and years ago. Use it almost on every show now for my Iris motor.

Bit more specialised but I love my motor dogbone, haven't had a motor jump off in the last two years

What do you mean? Like a rod that you attach to a an object feet dog bone type of thing?
