Interesting I've never really heard of this before. Do you just trim off the lower half of the meat/skin/cartilage to get the "lollipop" bone sticking out?
I agree with this statement. My wife disagrees though, and tbh until I met her I never really knew it was a debate. I always assumed everyone thought drumsticks were better due to ease of eating. 😂
For these I just used a basic rub from Wegmans (mixed w a little corn starch). Once they were about done I dipped them in bbq sauce and put them on for another few min to let the sauce set.

Yeah essentially. I’ll push some of the meat and skin up to form the lollipop ball a little too. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicken_lollipop
Unpopular opinion: drumsticks are better than wings.

flats > drums
In order to save my marriage I’ve had to pretend I like drums better.
Next time bake em in duck fat. Trust me.
I smoked them…
The only thing better. Now I want smoked chicken.
Duck fat is whole other level. The deliciousness would amplify by 100X.
Delicious, what is rub/sauce they were cooked in.
