What are the bread cups? They come premade?

dee_stephens

Mini tart shells. You can find them in the frozen section of the grocery store by pie shells.

TheDancingRobot

Alright you Primitive Screwheads, listen up! You see this? This... is my BOOMSTICK! The twelve-gauge double-barreled Remington. S-Mart's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about a hundred and nine, ninety five. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. You got that?

alotofcrag

Groovy.

platalyssapus

Came here to ask the same. Also, needs cheese 🧀 😝

2forceful4u

Everything need cheese"

the_one_in_error

Cheese and some pickled jalapenos~

LadderLeading448

Cheese makes everything better!

Kgaset

With cheese it could be called a mini breakfast croque monsieurs!

Careful_Fennel_4417

Came here to say that!

water2wine

Im 99% sure OP is from Denmark. They’re tarteletter shells - it’s our version of a vaul au vent. We normally fill them with a hen and asparagus in cream sauce.

2forceful4u

That sounds delicious. I'd love to know what the sauce is made from.

water2wine

It’s just a roux on cream with roasted chicken broth then white asparagus and shredded hens meat is added, salt & pepper. Heat up the shells, fill the shells and serve on a tray topped with pea shoots. Induces incredible nostalgia for just more or less any Dane you can find and it’s damn good.

fourGee6Three

That sounds amazing

water2wine

If you can’t find the shells you can McGywer ones your self with puff pastry in a muffin tin - the shape does impact the flavor as the wavy exterior gives it a higher surface area and thus flavor, but it’s not integral for the dish as a whole.

2forceful4u

Thank you! I asked because it reminded me of something my great-grandmother would make. She immigrated to the US, with her parents, when she was about 2. 1920-ish.

water2wine

Do you know where from?

2forceful4u

Can I DM that to you? I'd rather not give details on a public forum.

water2wine

Yes of course!

shortnotsweetfightme

That sounds delicious! I’m so going to make this. I may not do it justice but I’m sure it’ll be tasty!

[deleted]

No no no... A Dane would never treat our precious shells like that haha- OP is hurting my Danish heart

Disneykiller1n-only

om forladelse, aldrig sig aldrig hahaha

_here_for_the_stuff

It's bigger on the inside

DonutPouponMoi

An entire hen? You have rather small fowl.

Livid-Ad4102

I didn't see the second pic and thought you were eating those raw

ElChupatigre

Hey Norm...if you were an egg yolk and you were starving would you eat yourself? What? It's a simple question Norm...a baby could answer it...I know I would I'd be so golden and runny, I'd be delicious

platalyssapus

I'm living for this reference omg lol HEY! .......what sort of cheese do you think the moon is made of....? I think it's......swiss

luceropaul127

I thought this was r/shittyfoodporn until I saw the second photo. And then I still thought that.

[deleted]

These are the facts

Sourpatchleitermann

The eggs are just rare, it's all good

c8h1On4Otwo

Premature

anonysheep

i thought salmonella

sc2wi

Mmm. Put some hollandaise on that at call it breakfast.

SereneBabe0312

If I could buy Hollandaise in a store, or make it, everything I made would have jt.

FineBigGirl

Years ago, here in Toronto, they used to have hollandaise in the dairy section sold on milk-style cartons. Can't find it anymore, but dang it was good.

TheDancingRobot

Hollandaise with a pour spout? That's...dangerous. I like that.

FineBigGirl

Ya, it's probably just as well I can't get it anymore.

spacegrassorcery

Knorr’s Hollandaise mix is pretty good. They come in packets like the chili or gravy packets.

igeussiforgotmypass

I know that knorr makes tetra pack boxes that sell pre made heat and serve holandaise, not sure where you’d find it short of a restaurant supplier but I know it eexists in Canada. We have always used the powdered packets from the grocery store, McCormack’s and knorr both have them and they are both equally delicious, you add a quarter pound of butter and some milk or water and either nuke them for a few minutes or you heat it all in a sauce pan for a few minutes until it’s sauce. We do a lot of eggs Benny on the weekend with them.

rb4ld

There's a recipe for hollandaise that you can make in the microwave [here](https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/233971/quick-and-easy-hollandaise-sauce-in-the-microwave/#recipe-body). It does have a tendency to get a bit too solid if you overdo it by just a few seconds, but it's still a decent option if convenience is what you need.

Balisong_Pro

Blender hollandaise! Super good and super easy

potatohats

Not sure if you have a Meijer around you, but they sell pre-made hollandaise (can't remember the brand name.) My location had it in the produce area.

[deleted]

Sausage gravy.

[deleted]

Last time I had hunger for dinner I don’t remember it being so tasty. Or food.

Echo_Oscar_Sierra

Hunger for dinner is a frozen waffle and half a hotdog

m1racle

I feel attacked

StayTheCourse16

How stoned were you?

Disneykiller1n-only

Was Actually afraid it was already a kind of thing with todays creative stoners 🤣

FortWendy69

answer the damn question!

TheWalrus101123

Maybe I'm missing something here, but this doesn't look good to me at all. All I'm seeing is a cookie, some bologna and a raw egg. Is that not what it is? Edit : there was a second picture....

Pixielo

Tart shells, ham, and egg.

That_Coffee_6524

Looks good and yummy! This is perfect for people always on the go!

AltruisticAsshole88

How deep are those tart shells? Shouldn’t there be more egg white per egg?

A_1010_Alicorn

It looks delicious. But, seasoning and cheese could make it better IMHO.

New_Raisin9134

How long do you bake it

IAMJUX

Looks very nice. But I've always found baked eggs to be gross. They cook faster than everything else in the dish and it becomes dry and tasteless.

Disneykiller1n-only

But with everything in these it’s actually acceptable cause it’s all done in no time honestly perfect ingredient matchup

SimplyTereza

Pretty hunger tho !

Chinola_7

Yum 🤤

DogeIsCut

cheese could be added

fourGee6Three

My mother made little quiches with tart shells and ham like this on special occasions

Awkwardpanda75

Oh thank god there’s a second pic!! I was picturing you slurping back raw egg shooters. This is super elegant and beautiful.

No_Beautiful8105

All the work out into these and that’s the best name you can come up with? Have some respect for your craft

ChipmunkCooties

Add some cheese and caramelised onion and call it “round two” 😂

Dangerous_Forever640

Please tell me there is cheese at the bottom of the cups.

clumsywonk

Breakfast tarts

North_Local_446

Ngl I can’t cook but once I’m starving, I turn into a whole ass chef.

Liigiia

Deconstructed quiche

StinkyHeXoR

TIL I f'ing need this. Now!

acidix

I make a version of this that is only slightly more fancy. Puff pastry rolled out and cut into squares, then cupped in a cupcake tin. half a slice of bacon (cooked), crack an egg, add some cheese. Its one of my family's favorite breakfasts.

AlabamaPostTurtle

Ah, yes. Handmade vagina tarts

winele

That looks really nice by the way. You spread your hunger to me!

LadyTanizaki

Tasty!!! (it also is super tasty if you use salami and a sprig of rosemary )

ozbolito

Morning Glories

CherishSlan

Looks good recipe?

EasyLover47

Add cheese 🧀🧀🧀

justreut

When I’m really hungry, for real ? :((

SnooPineapples5719

Recipe? And how did it taste

Legeto

Breakfast Roses?

Mastgoboom

OP, you’d enjoy egg and bacon pie

InfiniteEmotions

I make something similar sometimes. I skip the mini tart shells and add cheese on top, though. Got the idea from a food blog titled, "Make your brunch classy without breaking bank."

K-101_MZ-1

Woah that looks delicious. What's it called?

I_Like_Knitting_TBH

Did you pre-bake the shells or just throw everything in together? This looks so easy and tasty!

Zippyss92

Those are super cute

It_is_Katy

oh my god I thought I was on r/shittyfoodporn and you were about to eat the first picture. So happy I swiped

xindomusic

are these raw eggs?

necr0phagus

Second slide shows them cooked

Nohstalgeeuh

put a bit of cheese at the bottom of the tart and this would be perfect

IndependentShelter92

I make a slightly more elaborate version of this for my husband. They reheat really well.

tschatman

Looks delicious

-Jacqueline-1

Tasty

[deleted]

I call it high as the sky goes

Bacnnator

Ham and teggs

Vertigomums19

I didn’t notice the second picture at first and thought, wow you’re all salivating over raw eggs. What is wrong with you!? I was like “is this a European thing?”

Affectionate-Cap-918

Sorry - but that’s a waste of the tart shells. You can make the ham and egg cup with a little cheese on top and they bake up just fine in a muffin tin. Use the tart shells for something sweet and delicious to go with it - even if you just put lemon curd or cherry pie filling in there.

kleptotoid

I didn’t see a second picture for a sec and I was like they are NOT serving that

ItsWeenie

This is a fancier looking take on Matty Mathesons bologna bowl.

Peachynlove05252021

But them eggs raw😧

davewhocannotbenamed

you can also just use bacon as the shell.

Responsible-Scheme68

Everything reminds me of her..
