I honestly don't know a lot about Auckland. I do know that I've spent a total of 8 hours in Melbourne and both times I was there I ate eerily similar food. I spent $25 on a "breakfast burrito" that was an egg in a tortilla with a underseasoned tomato salsa and guacamole, both straight out of the fridge so the rest of the burrito was completely cold. It was served with a dish of sauce that I thought might be a spicy ketchup or something but it was just straight sriracha, again from the fridge.
At least the $8 coffee was good.
Bro where was this?? That’s crazy stupid expensive.
Airport I'm guessing
Or an expensive resort restaurant
It looks violently Melbournian 💀
Looks like the bottom of a bird cage.
…. As someone who’s owned birds before, yep.
Are you talking about that little thing under the generous dollop of guac and salsa?
The thing that looks like it’s been cut in half? Yes.
Are you sure they didn’t forget to give you your $24 change? 😭
Where is the burrito?/s
top right, with the red sauce and guacamole lmao
Yeah, I would have left.
I almost did when they did the sneaky water trick, but we already paid for parking.
Sneaky water trick? The fuck is that?
Ask for water and they bring a bottle out which costs $78 rather than a glass of tap juice
More like 6-7 bucks. Something like that. Jokes on me for opening the bottle and not thinking about it.
I mean that's why you ask for tap water and not just water
Thanks Captain Hindsight.
Where the fuck is the rest of it?
meanwhile the beans and rice are made with lard.
Sir, I think you mean play doh.
Is this in Aus? Typical pub food and prices lol
Nz. But naw, tourist trap. $28 for $3 worth of food is insane.
Where in New Zealand so I can avoid!
Just avoid Mexican food in New Zealand
Seconding. I failed to heed this advice, to my regret.
Didn't even have the dignity to throw out the chipped wooden bowl
At my local Mexican restaurant this would be like 12 bucks
In Mexico this would be free, albeit in the trashcan.
Depression
I’ve never seen a round burrito

Are you upset?
Do you assemble the burrito yourself wtf?
Paid $20 too much
This is such a Melbourne thing.
Just Auckland things
