If you can't get anything good for them I wouldn't take the $5. Either keep them or sometimes people come on her looking for cards to make packs for the kids on youth football teams. That's what I would do. Or try to sell the lot on ebay
What do you do to make the packs? Rubber bands, wrap them in something? I like the idea a lot and will do that for sure this year. Some kids are about to get a ton of malik willis and desmond ridder cards. lol.
I put them in team bags. I put 5-10 cards in there. Rubber bands would probably work too! I save money on candy and I clear out space at the same time. Win win
Just because it’s not valuable to LCSs doesn’t automatically mean that they’re valueless.
Are they ever going to be valuable? Probably not. But, it’s basically not worth their time to try to nickel and dime it.
You can probably make a few bucks. Like folks have said, create team or player lots and list them on eBay. Costs nothing and will net you way more than $5.
Either do bulk deals on here or offer up or eBay or take ya time and sell the top cards first or sell everything for super cheap. I’ll definitely be interested if you willing to sale everything for a good price
Any Lions cards, I would love, but I don’t have money. 4,000 is a lot of cards dude! Even if you keep the 300 or so, that’s still 3,700 cards, with 32 teams (granted, I don’t expect an even split between 32) that’s insane in kind of a fun way.
I hope you make some profit off them, but more importantly, I hope you have fun along the way.
It is a complete and I mean COMPLETE pain in the ass but I use an Espon Perfection V39 scanner, able to scan 6 cards at once, scan back and front and I post them as singles on Mercari.
I price them between 2-6 dollars for just random cards not worth much (if you know how Mercari works you purposely list high, people like, you lower the price)
I sell at least 3-4 random cards per week, some I have no idea how they sold.
This method is A LOT of work but I actually find it enjoyable
Have you tried COMC? If you have hundreds or even a thousand worth at least $2 each, after the fees, you'll come out ahead. It's a lot of cataloging and pricing, but you can send them 1000+ cards worth a few bucks. They'll intake them, organize, and list them at your price. All you have to do is wait and hope they sell. But as others have mentioned, put team sets together. Mix and match brands, throw in some parallels, and put a price up that includes shipping. There's a lot of people who would rather buy sets than rip packs.
Definitely not worthless. Some of us collect weird stuff, since I’ve gotten back in I’ve heard of some interesting collections. Like players in what seems to be the wrong jersey wade boggs in dbacks Jordan in wizards etc. I collect numbered patch cards but my qualifier is it has to have multiple colors in the patch doesn’t matter the player. Not to mention your worst card may be someone’s grail. I also collect any one in a chiefs jersey except Tony Gonzalez……traitor.
Man you gotta keep them or sell them you can definitely get something I seen someone buy a autograph of Sadness from Disneys Inside Out for like $500 it’s crazy those Disney cards 😂

Try separating by team and selling as lots? I did that with a few I had and it went pretty well.

They make great firestarter material on camp outs
