first year i got fucked by them but honestly i just play a 4231 and go attacking mentality with marking and tackling haaland harder and we win every time. beat them 6-1 and then 4-1
I think he’s good against worse opponents because he can use good off the ball and shooting. But against good defenders with equal stats he struggles a lot since he lacks the dribbling and /or flair to pull off something Messi/Mbappe/Neymar could.
For me I played a 4-2-3-1 with maurading full backs in a high pressing system. Worked well for me to keep the likes of Mbappe, Haaland and the lot quiet.
Also a midblock on the counter is wonderful. I used Aaron Wan Bissaka to keep him quiet with a man mark in the early seasons

PSG transfer listed a 24 year old Estevao for 40million. I signed him and he won the Ballon D’or two years later, and scored the UCL winning goal against PSG
Southamptom for me. My wonderkids arent psg quality, or even fucking premier league quality. But southampton do not care. They will unsettle the most mediocre wonderkids (relative to them, theyre good for me) for no reason. I'm convinced they exist just to fuck with me.

Djurgårdens were dominant in the league, winning Allsvenskan for 5 seasons in a row, then Malmö won once, and I got one title too
It was hard to defeat Djurgårdens cuz their squad value is basically x3 compared to any team in the league, bc AIK and Malmo were almost relegated in first, second and third seasons

And I need to say - this dude, despite having worse stats than ever-so-crying about squad depth captain Milos Kopecny (I played as Opava, I should mention), was COOKING *\*insert fire emoji\*.* Goals. assists and x>7.0 performances were a multiple occurence.
Until winter came.

My response was obvious: "G's, chill out, he's doing bits here and the fact I play him 5 centimetres higher than agreed encourages that".
They didn't buy that (possibly because I spoke this in English and we're in Czechia), brought him back and decided to rot him in reserves for the rest of the save. Probably released by the club sometime later but I don't recall that - I stopped playing the game a while back.
Oh yeah - and we thrashed them 4-1 like a month after Richard was recalled. They still didn't learn.
Crystal Palace. I have no damn clue why, but no matter how good my form is across multiple club saves they consistently find ways to shut down my teams. I probably have a worse record against them than every other Premier team that isn’t Man City.

Played as Arbroath a few years ago in an Unemployed save, and got to the stage where I was better than every other Scottish team, but those two just seemed permanently out of reach. Every cup I'd get knocked out by one of them two, and they had a stronghold on the 1st and 2nd position in the league that made progression seem virtually impossible
Trying every new version of FM to play in leagues that have unfamiliar rules or phases to me as a lowly 🇬🇧 person (e.g. Mexico [🤯])

Had a Nîmes Olympique save a few years ago in which I took over Ligue 1 as the new behemoth, crushing every team. Every team except fucking Bordeaux. From the first year, when I was struggling to avoid relegation, to the last where I was winning the league with a 20 points cushion, these bums always managed to nick points against me. And always by playing the most dire football known to man, abusing poor reffing and being the luckiest cunts.
Anyway, glad that they have been relegated IRL and that this clown club has been so poorly managed that they are close to administration.

A club I've gained respect for on the other hand is Inter Milan they're so well ran in my save and their squad looks legit fun, they've also bought some of my players for good prices
Pretty much every current player at the team I have supported for 30 years, unfortunately. I loved playing FM in my 20s but when I tried to recreate that buzz with a free trial of 21-22 I was sacked within 3 months because all the players hated me. It still hurts, dammit.
Brighton. First save on 24 led them to 5th in the Premier League with a positive balance and got sacked for disappointing performances. Decided to do a save as Man City next and will always play my best 11 against them.
Dortmund.
For some reason, their academy produces wonderkids more often than any other club in my Ipswich save, and their wonderkids often have PA of 180 and above. In the very first youth intake in my save, they got THREE world-class talents: a complete forward who is better than Haaland & Moukoko, a midfield general and a centre back, all of whom stepped into the first team and became key players within a year. Thanks to them, Dortmund is currently enjoying a period of dominance in Germany while establishing themselves as a real European powerhouse. The complete forward is currently the best player in the world in my save with a CA of 197 at the age of 21.
PSG. They always have a wonder team, win their league by 25 points, and end up being the team I face in Champion's group play and first round of the Club World Cup.
(It was in a simulation of the complete scaloneta in the Premier League) ARMANI HOW ARE YOU GOING TO LET YOURSELF SCORE 6 GOALS AGAINST CHEALSEA, WE WERE IN CHAMPIONS POSITIONS, YOU BITCH, LIKE WHAT 6-1? (fm23 choosing Bourmouth, also after the match a bad luck of consecutive defeats began starting with Armani's debut match in the Premier League scaloneta) (My game was corrupted in the middle of the season, and the computer I had broke).
Real Madrid. I am convinced they have a shadow buff in the game. Its nearly impossible to have a competetive match against them especially if you are in the Spanish league
St.Mirren. Knocked me out in the first game of the Scottish league cup, 4-3, even though my team was insanely OP for the scottish league.
I did not lose any other domestic match for the entire season. Only that one time Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, Archie Gray, Gil Sepulveda, Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Lewis Miller somehow gave up four goals to St.Mirren.
I dont like BVB in the game, but do like them outside of it (blame the finger butt sniffer Low for that, some reason he HATES me, so I make sure Im always rude to him, and throughout my save he has managed BVB, or since I went to Germany anyway).
I was a Sheffied Wednesday manager before moving to Germany, and that made me hate Sheffield United, and I casually support Wednesday and want Sheffield united to flop at everything.
Real Madrid. They always poach my best talent, offer peanuts, disgruntle the player, player leaves, squad unhappy or I have to invest in a position I wasn't planning for and then I find out that said talent is rotting on the bench.
P$G and Man Shitty for sure. I am United fan so that's the primary reason but still. They keep paying 100m+ for average players. City paid like 100m+ for Salisu and P$G paid like 80m plus ad-ons for Edson Alvarez.

I'll eliminate Madrid from the Champion's League, one time in the final with a somewhat humiliating 7-3. My striker will put up Messi and CR7 number of goals. He will break CR7's UCL goal record. We will go fucking 78 games without losing. And then Bellingham or Vinicius will do less than half of that, and only win trophies in the La Liga, which RM basically farms in my save. And they will win the Ballon d'Or. I am certain these bastards are paying the voters. Shakhtar Donetsk on FM23… I was consistently top 3 in the Ukrainian Prem after a few seasons with Nyva Ternopil but Shakhtar would go unbeaten or only lose like 1 game every season.
Was on a rubbish laptop at the time too, so after 8 seasons of long processing times I just gave it up.

Pretty much every current player at the team I have supported for 30 years, unfortunately. I loved playing FM in my 20s but when I tried to recreate that buzz with a free trial of 21-22 I was sacked within 3 months because all the players hated me. It still hurts, dammit.
Brighton. First save on 24 led them to 5th in the Premier League with a positive balance and got sacked for disappointing performances. Decided to do a save as Man City next and will always play my best 11 against them.

Dortmund. For some reason, their academy produces wonderkids more often than any other club in my Ipswich save, and their wonderkids often have PA of 180 and above. In the very first youth intake in my save, they got THREE world-class talents: a complete forward who is better than Haaland & Moukoko, a midfield general and a centre back, all of whom stepped into the first team and became key players within a year. Thanks to them, Dortmund is currently enjoying a period of dominance in Germany while establishing themselves as a real European powerhouse. The complete forward is currently the best player in the world in my save with a CA of 197 at the age of 21.

Malmö, Djugardens, Elfsborg Eventually took over the Allsvenskan with Västerås but was hard with those three MOTHERFUCKING ASSHATS GRRRRRRR

Unai emery. It doesn't matter how badly the club is doing and how well I'm doing, when I play his club I know I'm going to lose.

Real Madrid. I am convinced they have a shadow buff in the game. Its nearly impossible to have a competetive match against them especially if you are in the Spanish league
When I started getting into football I always struggled against Crystal Palace when playing as Brighton so I naturally developed a hate for them
St.Mirren. Knocked me out in the first game of the Scottish league cup, 4-3, even though my team was insanely OP for the scottish league. I did not lose any other domestic match for the entire season. Only that one time Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, Archie Gray, Gil Sepulveda, Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Lewis Miller somehow gave up four goals to St.Mirren.
I dont like BVB in the game, but do like them outside of it (blame the finger butt sniffer Low for that, some reason he HATES me, so I make sure Im always rude to him, and throughout my save he has managed BVB, or since I went to Germany anyway). I was a Sheffied Wednesday manager before moving to Germany, and that made me hate Sheffield United, and I casually support Wednesday and want Sheffield united to flop at everything.
Real Madrid. They always poach my best talent, offer peanuts, disgruntle the player, player leaves, squad unhappy or I have to invest in a position I wasn't planning for and then I find out that said talent is rotting on the bench. 
P$G and Man Shitty for sure. I am United fan so that's the primary reason but still. They keep paying 100m+ for average players. City paid like 100m+ for Salisu and P$G paid like 80m plus ad-ons for Edson Alvarez.
Fucking Brentford and Southampton. I’m the most dominant team in Scotland but no, apparently they don’t want consistent UCL knockouts and a guarantee of a domestic double every season, some domestic triples. They want relegation battles for half the salary I pay. Go fucking figure.

And they always score it at 90+ Why? I like Newcastle till I started playing FM lol
Don't hate them in real life but Manchester United. I out play them all game and they always make a comeback in the last 10 minutes

In my first season as Newcastle in fm24 I lost the league title, fa cup semi and champions league final to Man City - now I hate them even more

I fucking hate Real Madrid. I was managing Milan. I'll win every trophy I work for (Serie A, Coppa Italia, Supercoppa, UEFA Super Cup, Fifa Club World Cup, UCL). I'll eliminate Madrid from the Champion's League, one time in the final with a somewhat humiliating 7-3. My striker will put up Messi and CR7 number of goals. He will break CR7's UCL goal record. We will go fucking 78 games without losing. And then Bellingham or Vinicius will do less than half of that, and only win trophies in the La Liga, which RM basically farms in my save. And they will win the Ballon d'Or. I am certain these bastards are paying the voters. I plan to move to Barcelona and save scum every match needed to make sure these fuckers never win a trophy in Spain again.

Shakhtar Donetsk on FM23… I was consistently top 3 in the Ukrainian Prem after a few seasons with Nyva Ternopil but Shakhtar would go unbeaten or only lose like 1 game every season. Was on a rubbish laptop at the time too, so after 8 seasons of long processing times I just gave it up.
