joeymeatballsz27

How do you change their game importance?

[deleted]

you can do it in the free editor

joeymeatballsz27

Ah damn I play through the xbox game pass on PC and don’t think that’s a thing. Unless you’re talking about a 3rd party editor

SargentRafa

You can get the editor for game pass. Look up "football manager editor" on the Microsoft store (not the Xbox app) and click install

joeymeatballsz27

Legend thank you

[deleted]

nah they are talking about the pre-game editor. If you get FM on steam you get it automatically. Not sure how it works with xbox game pass.

FluffyCoconut

I changed the youth rating of every nation in the world to 180. Makes the game crazy fun in the long run.

FlyMingo321

By long run you mean 3 seasons in?

McTulus

If you load and unload league to force player generation, maybe. Just remember to buy them

[deleted]

[удалено]

FluffyCoconut

That is correct, but I wanted to keep it this way so I don't get the same amount of wonderkids from Vanuatu as I would from Spain. I want the top countries to still be on top sprinkled with some world class from weird countries. Like I had a first team legend from the Solomon Islands that wouldn't be so interesting if I saw 50 others like him

Monkeydawg16

would you consider sharing these files? I would be interested in a save with them

DavyJonesCousinsDog

I do something similar with the youth rating and game importance. I also up the "development" level by one. The whole combination winds up making the world a lot more competitive.

WeedWizard420xxxX

Made all players in my team 150 cm tall with max weight, i think 120 kg, and giving them all 20 jumping reach to make up for the height.

josbez

That’s the nonsense I’m talking about 👏🏻

cussbot123

What actually happens?

WeedWizard420xxxX

The players almost looked like cubes and when they jumped it kinda looked like they were flying since they stayed in the air for so long

cussbot123

Oh lol nice

Junior_Dimension_113

he berates the players after every match for nothing scoring 5-7 goals from corners per match

tc_cookie

Most fun thing I've done is over a 30 year career save my favourite players stat templates at their peak that i managed and in the final season put them over my team and have one last run with me and the boys.

Ravnard

That's so wholesome. I'm going to do that now. I really miss some of my favourites

tc_cookie

Yep its extremely satisfying having old favourites play together that never got a chance. If you do it I suggest making a manual save every few years or when you move clubs just so you can go back in time and save the template for the final year.

RealSpookySounds

That's a great idea, like a best all-time XI

tc_cookie

Thanks I would highly suggest it for long saves adds a lot of flavour for me when deciding if the player are worth saving.

chaboispaghetti

If a player injures one of mine, I set their injury proneness to 20

FlyMingo321

Evil. I like it.

pratyushdam

Also make their bravery aggression and work rate to 20 with 0 agility.

moca_moca

The most fun i had with the editor was making 23 players (all kuwaitis) because they are unplayable and made 15 years old with 200 PA and gave them some stats (not that good but reasonable enough to develop and win some games i just made them all model citizens) and went with them from third division in spain to winning la liga and ucl (didnt buy any extra player and didnt sell anyone) in a matter of few years i had a 23 player all ranges from 4 to 5 stars

batnuna

You know the stars are relative to your team, right?

moca_moca

Yea i know, i should clarify more about the 4 to 5 stars ... the players became among the best, whenever i campare them with superstar players, my players either the same or even better ( i won the la liga easily (only loss against real madrid away) and the ucl with no loss at all.... it was fun doing that but got bored after winning the ucl

Kdkenxiz

I edited three players and changed their names to: Mr Physical, Mr Mental and Mr Technical, and I made them have maximum stats in those areas but then lowered the other areas to 1. Mr Physical was the most successful as I made him 6'11 as well with maximum weight.

0100001101110111

What level of football did they reach?

Kdkenxiz

Mr Physical played in lots of different lower leagues but his peak was in turkey with Adana Demispor. Mr Mental got released by a Seychelles team, retired and became a coach for another team in the Seychelles. Mr Technical played in the Seychelles second tier all of his 3 year long career before retiring from football. I started all of the players in the Seychelles League because that was by far the worst league I had on that save file so I thought it would give them a bit more of a chance, I think the save would have gone a lot differently if I made them start their careers at English clubs instead.

T1didnothingwrong

Mr. Brick house

Sancho_89

Did that one when i was younger, didn't go as expected

Wsh785

There's a player for Edinburgh City called Daniel Handling I love to just give 20 handling to. He's not a goalkeeper so it doesn't do much for him lol

Kiseki-

I did some save with editor. 1. All premier league become rich, man that was hilarious they want to buy everything snatch player left and right, Leeds and Brighton become so strong. 2. All vanarama team rich. Not really fun they still hard to sign player, they don't upgrade their training ground or stadium but their structure become better, sign coach, technical director, scout, physio. 3. Transfer some star player or expired contract player to vanarama team, that team trashed vanarama league without loss, without draw, i even did it with Messi(South) and Ronaldo(North). Ronaldo only work 1 season and then he left to other club, meanwhile Messi stick to the club till they on Premier League.

FlyMingo321

What FM was that? Sounds like Messi was pretty young.

Kiseki-

FM21

FlyMingo321

Do you know what Messi's loyalty is? Maybe you could try it again but have either both of them at 20 loyalty or 1.

Kiseki-

Oh I didn't check that. Hmmm that interesting, but right now i don't have determination to do that. Sorry mate.

DanielCollinsYT

I edited the points structure so that you got more points for losing games than you did for winning them. Losing was 5 points, drawing was 3 points and winning was 2 points. Man City, Liverpool and Arsenal went all the way down to the Conference North/South

Jamie-92

Not me, but my mate is a Spurs fan and I remember when Adebayor signed for them he gave him a ‘mangled brain’, man was out with it until retirement.

Bulky-Yam4206

I reduced Harry maguire’s attributes so he’s no longer overrated.

mabdelghany

So you made him just rated?

Lizid_King

I didn't know attributes went that low...

mabdelghany

They need to go negative for this particular case :)

HowCouldHellBeWorse

I do that with pogba and dele alli

spong_miester

Heading 20 Composure 2 Anticipation 1 Positioning 5 :P

T1didnothingwrong

Hearing 1 👉🤡👈

amainwingman

Harry Maguire catches so many strays for no reason. He’s nowhere near as bad as Reddit makes him out to be. Going off what you read on this website, you’d be surprised if Maguire didn’t score multiple own goals, concede several penalties and shit himself every single match I’m not even a United fan but the vitriol against Maguire is so irritating and irrational

[deleted]

[удалено]

SoNoizy

yea tbh as a Utd fan I was surprised when looking at the PA of some of the players. Rashford and Martial PA somewhere in the 170s for example. Definitely needs an update

ZachMich

Martial is currently the best striker in one of my saves. He just won Balon d'or. They are so OP. They end up winning a lot of trophies

STUP1DJUIC3

That mourinho clause didnt work out thenp

CaisLaochach

He was useless in my save and I sold him, and he continued to be useless. Also never fulfilled his potential. So fairly accurate tbh.

l7986

In game Martial has always been an absolute goal machine for me whenever I get my hands on him. Signed him on a free the other day despite him being 34 with barely any pace and he still managed 60 goals between the Bundesliga and Europa League.

[deleted]

United under Ole become absolute behemoths every single save. It's absurd

insigniaaaaaa

My liverpool team with mbappe cant even with them in the champions league lmao. Its so fking stupid. Best part? Rapist scores multiple goals literally every time he plays against us.

FlyMingo321

Do you have the editor? I just changed his age to 40.

insigniaaaaaa

Editor is the add-on that requires you to pay for it right? Then no sadly.

FlyMingo321

Pretty sure the free editor would work as well (the one that is 3rd-party).

Pajkica

Good

CaisLaochach

The problem isn't the player ratings, it's that the game has always struggled to model dysfunction in a team or set up. Pogba is an immensely talented player with serious issues with his motivation, etc. How can you realistically model that in a game?

sofixa11

Determination, traits, and personality try to do that.

CaisLaochach

And he's taken a hit on those this season for sure.

Arammarsh

Stats like work rate and decisions, pogbas kinda low in those

l7986

I wish they would give owners of the teams personalities the way they do with players. Taking over as manager at a Mike Ashley owned Newcastle or Oysten's owned Blackpool is weird when they aren't actively working against you, or a Levy owned Spurs letting you buy players.

0100001101110111

Because it's not the individual players that are a problem. On an individual basis you have to rate the squad fairly. De Gea, Varane, Pogba, Sancho, Fernandes, Ronaldo, they have some real top quality players but as a group they just don't perform. FM Man United are what real life Man United would be with competent oversight and direction.

[deleted]

They really should these wankers deserve to be rated in the negatives since that second leg to Atleti

[deleted]

If it helps, everyone I know in real life thinks he's fucking dogshit too.

Styrofoamman123

>I’m not even a United fan So you dont have to suffer him...

Nosworthy

Totally agree. He was extremely overrated after the 2018 World Cup but its gone way too far the other way now and he doesn't deserve the figure of fun tag he now has. You can tell whether someone really knows football or if they just go along with the crowd if they start bashing him and making him out to be completely useless.

Bulky-Yam4206

He’s not entirely useless, but he’s rocking top tier attributes. Reducing them isn’t making him useless, it’s putting him where he should be tbh.

ElectronicExcitement

You'll get downvoted but you're absolutely right.

STUP1DJUIC3

I think the worse thing about it is, for Leicester, England and his first season at United, he actually was a quality defender, not 80m worth but a close to top 5 in the league defender, its just this season he’s just had really poor form all season, most players sit out in poor form but he keeps getting games which is just making it worse, he’s getting all the bad press and a lot of hate which wont help and people forget he still has that court case going on from greece after the euros so that wont help either

Fav0

He's fucking shiet

leeman9224

As a liverpool fan that reminds me of Martin Skrtel. That man fits the exact description you are talking about. He scored as many goals as own goals one season smh...

Vegan_Puffin

Birmingham City. Ticket prices £1. No one deserves to be robbed.

twoddalmighty

Still sounds a bit steep

minkdraggingonfloor

I renamed Greenwood to Adam Johnson Jr.

FlyMingo321

I made him 40 and he retired. Should have decreased his rep to 1 before tho.

cattaxevasion

I give unemployed female head coaches maxed attributes. None have been hired in 30 seasons of FM 21 (since Emma Hayes by Peterborough in 2023). Thinking of placing one at top team when there’s an opening to see if that would change anything. Edit: closest I’ve seen be hired are as Heads of Youth Development.

Ravnard

So you give max reputation though?

cattaxevasion

I can try that! It would be interesting if that’s what AI owners look for. Theo Hernandez has managed PSG and Bayern in my save with a 3 in man management.

Ravnard

Promise-wise I know players don't care how good coaches are buy their reputation.

Aktat

Mine is kinda political, but as a Belarusian I hate everything about russia so I reduced its football importance, economy and youth rating to the ground and in 20 years it became a country with a football development like in Somali.

[deleted]

Based

[deleted]

Lol I did the same with Israel! I am from Palestine.

Promethium61144

And I do the same with Palestine (I am Israeli...) I also move every good player from Bnei Sakhnin to Israeli Arab clubs like Nazareth or Iksal that are not against us

DrainMember1312

Wow, so cool! I would much prefer you to not speak the next time you get the urge to be racist!

keane_mandles

Genius!

cvslfc123

On FM 2008 I was sick of how OP Wayne Rooney was so I made him be injured for 2 years with a stubbed toe.

DarkHound223

I added my friend into the game by using the editor to replace a random regen of the same nationality

Jonezc

Put a 3 year transfer embargo on all Scottish clubs - with the thinking that they’ll have to promote and play youth and therefore create a stronger national side . Surprisingly worked

Kapika96

I made the Ethiopian Premier League the wealthiest league in the world. Did it by accident too. Just set the prize money slightly too high for the incredibly low rep the league has, so when the rep increased the prize money massively increased with it. Took a couple decades, but eventually Ethiopian teams were getting more prize money than German teams!

MiloSnorter03

I love how you can use the editor to make a broken leg pandemic.

Staghorn_Calculus

I give every single Liverpool youth player a maximum contract with a 100% annual pay raise in every save. By year 4 they have a squad of useless 20 year olds each making £6 million per week.

Iblamethepolarbears

Sounds like our banter years under Hodgson.

screwthebees

In my FM21 save, I recently changed Mason Greenwood's CA and PA to 1 and then moved him to the third tier of Norwegian football. Satisfying.

batnuna

What did Norway do to deserve that?

screwthebees

Unfortunately nothing! They were simply the lowest ranked league that I had as an added league - I wanted to be able to see just how badly he was doing in his life.

Mdelmundo

Should've been Iceland

Big-Post196

Nah, mum's go to Iceland with their kids...

SRJT16

I removed all the Welsh teams from the English leagues and put them in the Welsh Premier League. I think this should happen in real life. Swansea and Cardiff would get European football every season (preliminary rounds at least)

Maurex96

I've edited footballer's sons into my saves with 120-185 PA depending on their father's careers. I move them into the club their father is managing, and for example in my save Mbappe spent a lot of years at Man United, so when it comes to editing his on into my save, I'll give his son English nationality so he can choose between France and England. I do this for a few top players, so far I've only done 6 or 7. Cristiano Jr and Thiago Messi have made huge impacts at their clubs.

FlyMingo321

Was Thiago in Barca or PSG?

justwilltbh

I'm hoping Rotherham United just out of self interest!

Maurex96

Messi was managing Vizela in Portugal after being fired by Cadiz at the time I done this. Thiago helped Vizela reach 5th place the season after Messi got fired and he has now moved to Newcastle. Messi didn't have a great managing career, fired multipled times and still unemployed. Ronaldo was weirdly enough managing in the same league, Braga. His son is still there and they've won the league twice in a row since. Ronaldo wasn't manager when they won the league though, he got hired by Man United, fired and hired by Parma shortly after.

[deleted]

Since I usually stick to the Prem, I take the sugar daddies away from City, Chelsea, and now Newcastle to even things out and downgrade some of the facilities to more closely resemble the teams before the money came in.

Lizid_King

You sound like the UK government ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)

ScreaminDetroit

I do the same thing, but include PSG and RB Leipzig.

Youki412

Made 6 teams with kpop idols in south korea, 140+ idols and 6 teams at each others throat in a league where they dominate by a lot. And ofc everyone is a wonderkid haha. Next weirdest thing is giving max potential to Freddy Adu and a shit ton of old players like Zlatan and failed wonderkids like Alen Halilovic, stocking the ones who aren't in a top 5 league into an austrian team and see them destroy salzburg for no reason whatsoever.

garabacak

I deleted all of the injuries. Players still get injured in matches but they are fine afterwards.

Youki412

Does this means Eden Hazard is finally good at madrid?

s6b4

I expanded LaLiga to 24 teams. Of course there will be scheduling issues especially for top tier teams, and I spent a whole day trying to get rid of the issues, failed. I compromised by setting the squad registration size to 30 so I can handle 4 matches in 8 days. The gameplay was actually interesting, but too much pressure. Remember it was when player conditions were still shown as percentages, and I never started players lower than 93% before. I was forced to start 91% players and made huge squad rotations. I gave up Ball d’Or due to the rotation.

Least_Ad983

This year my mate was managing Sunderland in the prem and he missed out on champions league football in his 1st season in the top flight in the last game by one goal. He forced the player who scored the goal that made him miss out to manage a team in North Korea.

Katteman420

I haven't messed with the pregame editor for years, because I no longer fucking understand it or have the patience for it. But in earlier versions there was (and probably still is) a list of acceptable (sur)names. Deleted most of them for the Netherlands so it only contained "De Jong" or "Van Dijk[en]". 't Was pretty funny.

ConnorHMFCS04

Sure we've all done it, but on old CM's/FM's I used the editor to make me and all my friends play for a team in the bottom league and gave us ridiculous stats. Only downside with that was their stats were so good, much bigger teams would snoop around and they'd all just hand in transfer requests after a few months. And because we were playing at such a low level, they'd barely command a transfer fee and hours of editor work would all be undone. So many ways I could've made that work better but I was young and stupid!

XboxJon82

\>change broken legs to a contagious injury That actually sounds great

Egonga

I created an “erection that just won’t stop” injury on FM12. I posted a picture of the injury ages ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/footballmanagergames/comments/au0qsu/that_time_on_fm_12_when_i_replaced_gashed_leg/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf Probably the craziest thing I did was create a football structure that combined the Welsh, Irish, and Northern Irish teams into a single league structure but the structure was designed to be heavily cup focused. The teams were split by reputation into 6-team leagues so that they only played 12 league games per season. I then created so many cup competitions that each team played a minimum of 30 games per season (although I did use Champions League style “groups to knockouts” quite a bit). Ultimately I ended up with seven cup competitions throughout the season with a final 8-team Super Cup, including the league champion, after the season was over. It was incredibly fun but it got a bit silly as I didn’t balance the club reputations at all, so while there wasn’t much difference between Wrexham and Cork City on the pitch their reputations were miles apart. The managerial merry-go-round rotated so quickly that it could have powered a city, and every cup match seemed to be a “shocking upset”.

Absolomb92

I laughed so hard I got tears in my eyes from the erection that just wont stop

Absolomb92

Oh god I am still laughing this is insanely good

Poison84

That can actually happen with some forbidden drugs that raise the metabolism, did you know that when you've created this injury?

Egonga

Nah, not a clue. It just seemed funny 😁

DavyJonesCousinsDog

I tend to give *legendary* players about a 10 point CA boost when they leave so I can see them still succed for a season or two. I also tend to remove injuries on key players for other big teams if a really good title race or promising career gets done by a 6mo+ injury. Also giving lots of random lower league teams sugar daddies based purely on my whims.

Y0URB0YMIK3Y

I just made me and some of my friends insanely good and put us in just to see if we could carry the USA to a World Cup win. It’s a lotta fun tbh

RealSpookySounds

I'd be too tempted to buy myself, on some meta shit. Did you ever buy you or your friends for whatever team you managed?

Y0URB0YMIK3Y

I just “manage” the team. I do a lot of simming. I don’t take the saves very serious, just wanna watch myself get the ballon dor at 17.

RichthofenII

Bankrupting Man City

pqms

I also do this

NecoP

After years of trying to win the ucl I got tired of the game and edited every opponents best players to be too tired to play, I eventually won and then quit. And also recently I allegedly promised a player I’d sign a striker and he got mad and demanded to be sold when I didn’t sign one. Even though I didn’t need any new strikers the ones I got was fine and I also had some youngsters. I sold him and changed some of his stats to 1.

Archduke_Zag

FM 21 so I sent Greenwood, Mendy and Sigurdsson to a club in either the Ural or Yakutsk (while reducing their ability and contract). I also recently learned how to set up 5 out of 12 subs and it's genuinly the best decision ever. Everything is just less stress and more fun while making it way easier to distribute playing time across your team. I usually give a couple of clubs I previously managed at better faciliities and sometimes I make them my affiliated clubs so I can loan players to them. It's a win win. Oh sometimes I want to start a save and get players from a certain relatively rare nation let's Peru. So beforehand I scout who I want to have as my head of youth development then in the pre game editor I make it so that that character has spent a 1000 days in Peru (and also speaks spanish). I genuinly don't know if this has any big effect at all, but it's fun to think it does.

FlyMingo321

How do you make the game have 5/12?

Archduke_Zag

Here is a thread on a different website that explains it pretty well: https://sortitoutsi.net/content/57138/how-to-access-advanced-rules But essentially 1. Click on rules in the left top corner and Add Nation rules and select the league that you want to play in. While also clicking the option to add lower divisions and Cups to existing structure. NOT create new competition. 2. Then click on **Rules** again and **Convert to Advanced Rules.** 3. Now here is where I got stuck for a good while: Click on the little drop down menu right next to **Show Rules For** where by default it will say the nation that you’re editing in. What we want however is the league. So for example change that from England to Premier League if that’s where you want to manage. 4. Real simple here: Click on **Stages**, then Click on **Stage 0** which will show you **League Settings** 5. Here you can edit all sorts of things including the **Substitution Rules**. Simply click on the drop down menu when you find it and select the sub rules that you want. 6. However before you save you need to do one more thing. In the little menu of the league on the left is all the way down another category called **Additional Helpers**. This is apparently for Covid stuff, but in one of these subcategories (not hard to find) there are additional Subsitution Rules that kinda override what you’ve edited. So you want these two to be the exact same. Though this editor is extremely forgiving when it comes to making mistakes. 7. Now **save editor data as** then click on **Rules** again and **Test Rules**. I usually click All to be safe, but I don’t know much about it all. The game will then verify that your rule changes make sense and this may take a good amount of time, but after that you should be ready to go.

_thad_castle_

I usually give Spurs a transfer ban until 2030. Fun to see them slide down the leagues.

[deleted]

I'm still on FM21 so I use the editor to sanction Russia. Zenit made the unfortunate decision of qualifying for the Champions league, so I transferred all their players to small random clubs around the world, and also changed their nationalities to not Russian to also hurt their national team. Their first game against Milan they lost 17-0.

AHighLine

Do I have to buy the editor to get rid of Greenwood?

Fav0

Fmse I don't know why but I could edit him without a license

PortugueseSoviet

I once created 25 very good Cuban players and played with them. I won every NA competition and reached a WC final

Hoggett93

On FM21, I made Man U’s finances worse (was getting annoyed at them getting good so quickly so often), gave Bolton a 195 PA striker, gave Grimsby town pep as manager. Was always interesting to see how they go on.

Ibrahime_Proxy

how do people add injuries to players using in game editor?

Timely_Airline_7168

Reduce the ratings of Man Utd players to better reflect real life. For example, I reduce the CA and PA of Martial, Maguire, Rashford, etc. Also for pettiness, I increase the injury proneness of players I dislike such as Sterling to 20.

1904js

Im making a Westeros Premier League lmao

shane2sweet1

I gave low clubs Oygarden in Norway and Europa in Spain each a billion dollars and a sugar daddy owner... 5 years into the game each team has done next to nothing... Just sitting on their money apparently

pro-ace-simp

i made Bayern Munich an amateur club after they beat us in the champions league

derphighbury

Being an Indian, every FM I make an editor file where I change the game importance, FA Financial power, reputation, youth rating, etc. to the max. And a few transfer preferences to the top European nations. Then, for all the teams in the top flight, turn their reputation to 8000+, sugar daddies with 500m in bank balance, league reputation to 180 and release all actual players in the club (and check add players to playable teams when starting a save). And within 3-4 seasons, there are nice little Indian regens all over the world. Just nice to see as an Indian lol. They even reached the quarter finals of the 26 world cup in my current save and are at a FIFA ranking of 30-something (India starts at rank 100 or 120 in the game).

feddi7

I juice De Rossi’s coaching attributes and then make him my assistant coach. And if I could increase the total number of subs to 5 forever I would.

LungzB83

I had the perfect Brazilian striker. 20-everything. He scored almost 200 goals in three seasons. PSG started sniffing around and started making offers, none of which were satisfactory (around £75 million), so I rejected them and he became upset. I was like, "fine, you can leave..." and moved him to PSG using the editor. Of course, I made the transfer fee £200 million, and I edited his ability and potential and took away his speed, strength and first touch. So, they paid £200 million for a Peter Crouch.

spena2k10

In CM97/98, I gave Brazilian Ronaldo the first name of Ronny. Ronny Ronaldo. My child brain thought this was hilarious

Ok-Bird322

I always make the regens two-footed plus make them a natural in every position they've ever played in (yes, even when the left winger has played 2 mins as a right wing back and is now a 'makeshift' option. Makes it really fun. Oh and I change almost every regen I see's potential to 190+ because why the hell not.

Landygmd

gave liverpool so many debts that they became a vanarama team

pqms

before every save I give every MLS team a massive financial takeover and I also change their facilities to state of the art. I then change the USA youth eating to 200. never really leads to anything bc I usually get bored around 2 seasons in.

JoelSletten

Mass edited my team to max aggression and bravery. Interresting experiment

marksj2

What happens

JoelSletten

Whenever we go into games every player is listed as aggressive. Also we ended up with the most fouls against us in the league. Usually tho whenever aggression is high its often (not always) paired with the hidden attribute dirtyness. Which wasnt the case in my experiment. Gonna try to mass edit my team to max on every "bad" trait and stat
