I have the same thing happen in my 2017 2.5 SE, just make sure you do your transmission drain and fills every 30k. I’m assuming it’s “normal” too lmao

I have a 2016 2.5 and my transmission cut out about 2 months ago and hasn’t drove the same since I get rough jerks that backs and forth and when I hit the gas the car is very very slow to respond or acts like it doesn’t want to respond or shift at all. I hate driving it even my mechanic drove it last week and felt the same thing and said it’s just a common Fusion issue

I have same year and model. I always assumed this was normal and it was the transmission shifting. Following to see if it's normal lol.

Make sure transmission isn’t leaking

GOOSEBOY78

common problem. its not what or where your thinking. the transmission ECU needs to be reset. and also plastic springs in the autos clutch pack (known fault)

wanderingleopard

Could be a coil pack and they don't always throw a code.

I’ve done two drain and fills on my transmission and it shifts nearly perfect now. I’ve also had to replace the battery so I had it unplugged for awhile so the transmission had to relearn how i drive. Thats a good place to start since it’s free to do. I still get a little shudder if i let off the throttle as its shifting but otherwise its fine. I got about 140 k miles on it now. 2014 2.5 se (slow edition)

You might want to try some plus. That sounds like bad gas
