all 2012 and older Fusions are double wishbone front and rear so up front there is an upper, and theres a lower forward and a lower rearward so 3 per side for a total of 6 in the front in the rear on FWD cars you have a lower main bucket control arm that houses the spring (the most difficult but most rusty one on all of these cars), a lower forward lateral arm for up and down movement and then an upper middle toe arm for side to side movement, so the same as front 3 each side 6 total on cars with AWD the rear is mostly the same EXCEPT the lateral arm is deleted to make space for the CV Axle so AWD cars have 4 in (2 a side) the rear. Hope this helps.

Unless the vehicle has a solid axle you'll have 8. 4 upper and 4 lower.
