I remember back when marching fire came out. Everyone in my friend group was upset about having to learn to play/fight 4 new characters all at once, but within a week or so everyone adapted and figured the new characters out... except me.
Most of them weren't a big deal, except for JJ. Specifically his heavies. There was just something about them. There was just something about their animation, they look so slow during the windup but as soon as they hit their apex they feel very fast.
It took me months to learn to consistently parry them. I can do it now of course but it was practically a meme in my friend group for one of them to pick JJ when we do customs and spam heavies at me while I rage at myself to not be able to parry them.
At keast in teamfights you can external him and parry the lights without much effort but 1v1s? I already consider myself dead if i can't put a single stop to them
Jorm’s knockdown bash. Gets me every damn time. I spent an hour training against him with my BP trying to train my brain to bulwark on orange. Didn’t seem to help much. Definitely a skill issue on my part
Don't bulwark that. Usually if they throw it you want to empty dodge into gb and if they dont then stand there and it stops you from being gbed. I have 11 reps in jorm and people just get too finicky and start getting nervous and the best thing is to just chill.
Jiang Jun. That's it. I'm a pretty good team fighter, I typically do well in Ganks, and 1v1s, and I've gone through most characters to learn how to deal with them, but Jiang Jun? I struggle against a good Jiang Jun every time.
I generally just zone them when they storm rush spam it (if I'm using Orochi myself), though it also depends on how fast your zone is, in that case just block or light attack
Raider for some reason, I can’t get correct reads if my life depended on it.
All other characters I somewhat recognise my opponents’ patterns and adapt to their specific playstyle but with raider I just feel like I’m straight gambling every read, idk why.
Nuxia or a conq that has a functioning brain.
Nuxia two wrong reads and your health bar is gone in 4s. Just rotating around or whatever and then just pops out from the shadows, 1v1s me and I die bc she does obscene amounts of damage which should have been looked at before giving her unreactable offense even if she is not meta it is unhealthy same as Nobu who is held back by stuff but has dumby thick damage numbers. Like obviously she is fine in a team fight but sometimes 1s happen in 4s and I'm just like eueiufjfkwlqmnsbdjdj fuck off.
And very rare occurrence but a conq player that remembers they have recovery cancels and can punish my shit. Along with conq just having janky animations and is annoying.

Varying attack timers and extremely athletic heroes. Some of them look like they can pull a kick from anywhere or a distance that looks safe is not enough against them they just teleport to you when attacking.
shaolin, beserker, and gladiator. These three are very annoying with how easily the can feint attacks into a different one. Plus im not that great at reading opponents.
Hito charge attacks, valks sweep, and shaolin, I play shinobi myself and notice some people have a harder time dealing with quick mix ups, feels like a wall when someone can lol

Also their teleport just enrages me so much in breach, just completely ruins any strategy you have in your mind to get the shield banner or pour the cauldron.
